Forbidden Zone of the Human Race

Chapter 105: I Must Not Cry

Liu Ouhai coldly chuckled. Previously, he had been somewhat apprehensive of Xiang Ning, but this time the brat’s reputation was gone. Would Liu Ouhai still care? He had someone backing him up this time, too. He had many benefits to gain from this, so of course he would be delighted.

“Headmaster, I think there must be a problem with Xiang Ning’s attitude, or the students our academy sent out on the activity wouldn’t hate him this much. He had provoked several conflicts and led to our school students being ostracized by other schools, causing our teams to be eliminated early. That’s unfair to our students!” said Liu Ouhai.

“That’s right, I’ve talked to the students. The people who robbed them all hated Xiang Ning, and our students became collateral damage. So why did he get to leave unscathed, but our students had to suffer?”

“Students from various schools have started challenging our students, and we’re losing. If this continues, we won’t get many new students next year!”

Many teachers started whispering among themselves.

They had heard of the situation and knew that all the students who’d participated in the activity hated Xiang Ning. Based on what they saw, if Xiang Ning hadn’t provoked students from other schools, their students wouldn’t have suffered.

The headmaster sat at the head of the table. While he didn’t know what happened before, he had personally witnessed Xiang Ning’s growth during the course of the wilderness hunt. He didn’t believe Xiang Ning was as bad as they said. However, gossip had spread like wildfire and it wouldn’t be good for him to speak up now. That would only attract more unnecessary troubles for Xiang Ning. He would wait until Xiang Ning was back before making a decision.

......

On the other side in the lower secondary section, there was no peace either.

“Xiang Xiaoyu, what do we do now?” Chen Zixin panicked when she saw the upper secondary seniors standing outside. They didn’t know why, but there seemed to be many senior students there today wanting to take Xiang Xiaoyu away, though none were successful because of the teachers around.

“Xiang Xiaoyu, these seniors are saying that your brother caused them harm, is that true?” The girls in their class stared at Xiang Xiaoyu with glee.

She bit her lip and shot up while Chen Zixin quickly stood up to calm her down, “Wait! Calm down, we’ll solve this when your brother gets back.”

But Xiang Xiaoyu didn’t hear her at all and directly walked out of the classroom. Every student in class looked at each other, then followed her, not to help but to watch the show.

Since her classroom was on the ground floor, the moment she stepped outside, someone spotted her.

Someone yelled, “It’s her! She’s that part-time student’s little sister!”

The phrase ‘part-time student’ was abrasive; even a few teachers frowned. Having part-time students wasn’t a strange thing at all, but these youth were all arrogant and showed them no respect.

Xiang Xiaoyu tearfully looked up and walked straight, causing the teachers to stop her, “Don’t go out there, get back to your classroom!”

“Xiang Xiaoyu, they can’t touch you with us here!”

She heard them, but still stubbornly walked out. She turned to the teachers and said, “Thank you for your concern, teachers, but I’ll deal with this.”

Then she stood before the thirty-odd people indignantly and said, “I heard what happened. You guys were too weak to beat another school’s students and blamed it on my brother. My brother is not useless, and he has morals!”

Her words inflicted much damage. It was true. Every student who was robbed by Xiang Ning or lost to him in a fight had returned with resentment in their hearts. However, under some people’s convincing, they all flocked to Qiling Academy to stir up trouble, making Qiling students suffer under the name of ‘friendly sparring’.

Although Qiling Academy had won a few fights, the number of people was just too huge. They couldn’t hold them back!

“Hmmph, so it’s our fault then? If it wasn’t for your brother, do you think we’d end up like this?”

“That’s right, you’ll pay us for it!”

“Pay? They’re part-time students, where would they get the money from? I say we take her to those schools ourselves. Their conflict has nothing to do with us, so why should we suffer for them?”

“That’s right!”

“Yeah!”

The group of more than thirty students started to simmer with rage, causing the teachers’ expressions to darken. Who did these students think they were?

“What do you think you’re doing? This is a school!” yelled a female teacher.

Suddenly, another female student appeared before Xiang Xiaoyu with a glare, then raised an arm to slap her. No one could react in time; all they saw was a flash of black hair. However, Xiang Xiaoyu had also been training with Uncle Zhao during the past few days and was already a tier one, one-star spiritual cultivator. With Uncle Zhao’s unique secret teachings, she could already control objects with her mind too!

With her great mental power, she reacted the moment the girl appeared, though it was still not as quick as the attacker. The attacker missed her face, but her hair was slapped out of its bun.

At that moment, Xiaoyu controlled a twig with her mind, then launched it directly at the girl’s face. A long, bloody scratch appeared on her cheek.

“You little bitch!” roared the girl, wanting to slap her again.

This girl was a student from the special training who hated Xiang Ning’s guts because her team had been targeted all through the activity! She had been resentful throughout the event, and one time, she was defeated in a fight and a girl from another school had stepped on her head! That incident made her fume. How could she stop herself when Xiang Xiaoyu’s words had poured salt on her wound!

This time, Xiang Xiaoyu had no chance to dodge. She closed her eyes, preparing herself to take the slap.

The teachers, now coming to their senses, were about to save her when a silhouette appeared before Xiang Xiaoyu and kicked hard. The student felt as if she had been hit by a truck and flew six meters back, knocking down many people behind her!

When Xiang Xiaoyu heard the commotion and realized the slap never came, she slowly opened her eyes and saw a familiar figure before her. Her eyes reddened instantly and she hugged her brother’s waist from behind, burying her face in his back. She started to sob but tried to stop herself, though tears still stubbornly fell.

I must not cry! I must be strong so he won’t worry!
