Magical Device Craftsman Dahlia Won’t Hang Her Head Down Anymore

Chapter 4

03. Commercial guilds

After a solid treat at Irma’s house to his after-dinner coffee, Darya headed to the commercial guild.

The commercial guild is five floors of black brick that stands out even on the boulevard. Those three big doors keep people coming and going.

Many visitors from outside the country, some with brightly coloured embroidered capes on their shoulders, and others with cloths wrapped tightly around their heads and long sleeves and hem costumes. From somewhere, the aroma of spices and perfumes flowed.

Darya greets the entrance escort gently before entering.

The ground floor is mainly a place for consultation of clients, so I went straight up to the second floor.

“Hello”

On the upstairs contract related counter were a young brunette woman and a middle-aged man of perfect width.

I am already familiar with Darya, who has visited me many times under a Magic Instrument related contract.

“Ah, Mr. Darya! Happy wedding!

“Hey, you’re a newlywed, congratulations!

It hurts so badly that the two of you are turning an extraordinary smile on this one.

“… I’m afraid I just got a word to celebrate, but Mr. Orlando broke my engagement. So I’d like you to give me a contract at the time of your engagement.”

The rattling chair rocked and the two receptionists stood up at the same time.

Reporting a sudden divorce to the pair may have a mechanism to synchronize.

“Duh, why not?

“The application for divestiture comes from Mr. Orlando, so it comes from me”

I don’t want to explain ‘true love’ here to the boulders.

But it may not be in Tobias’ honor, but in his own honor, which he was engaged to.

“Did Mr Orlando mean that something happened to the Orlando Chamber of Commerce?

“What from my mouth. Please go over there about this.”

“… excuse me. It is odd to ask Mr Dalya even though it is convenient for Mr Orlando’s side. Okay.”

The man convinced me immediately.

“I would like to ask a notary to attend the performance of the contract at the time of the engagement and to liquidate the work in the joint name.”

A notary is a person who is able to carry out various arrangements established by the State, foresight and confirmation at the time of a commercial related contract, and proof.

In the previous world, would it feel like a mix of administrative clerks and lawyers?

It’s pretty hard to be an exam with no identity or connections, five years of study in a professional institution, having ten identity guarantors, etc.

Even if you can be a notary, it’s a tough job to disqualify once you commit fraud, punish you severely, and the identity guarantor has quite a penalty as a recourse to liability.

For the record, if you proceed with the designation of the contents of a lie to a notary, or use your status or money to abuse it, the sin becomes quite heavy.

The cost of asking for a notary is quite expensive, but it is often kept with the witness to avoid problems at work or in business.

Thankfully, there are resident notaries in the commercial guild, so if you don’t wear them with others, you can ask for them right away.

“The notary will have four large silver coins in an hour, are you sure?

“Yeah, I’ll get it out.”

Four large silver coins are about 40,000 yen as a feeling of previous life.

If you want to prevent trouble later, it’s not expensive.

The kingdom’s currencies include half, copper, silver, large silver, and gold coins.

For the most part, it is the price at which you can buy a staple loaf of bread for one copper coin, so it feels like 50 yen for half a coin and 100 yen for a copper coin.

Oh, but is it about 1000 yen for silver, 10,000 yen for large silver coins, and 100,000 yen for gold coins?

Most importantly, groceries and necessities are cheap, but clothing and precious metals are expensive, so they are just Dahlia’s senses.

“I’d like to ask you to discuss it from 2: 00, if possible. Of course, if you can’t, I’ll meet you here.”

“Okay. I’ll make sure.”

The man ran to the third floor where the notary was waiting.

“Um, Mr. Darya, you just moved in, didn’t you?

“No, I was going to start my new home today, but I’m going back to the house, to the green tower.”

The address registered to the commercial guild is the previous house.

It is called the “Green Tower” because it is a small old tower that is out of town and entangled in a twist.

I’m going back to that place that came out this morning, so I don’t have any trouble living there.

“I don’t know what to say… but, uh, don’t let it get you down. Uh, if you’re working for a magic conductor, you can go on, right?

The receptionist in front of me is trying so hard to keep me talking.

I noticed that the officials behind the counter were eager to come over.

“Yes, I will work hard at the tower again to make magic guides”

“Um, Mr. Dalya’s magic equipment is very popular, so if you can keep asking me, I’ll be happy as an guild”

“Thank you. Thank you for your continued support.”

Darya smiled at the desperate receptionist.

I’m not sure I’m laughing well, but at least, I don’t think I’m getting a hard level of expression (kao) to live with a broken engagement.

“Mr. Dalya, we have an appointment for Dominic.”

He just went to check on me, the receptionist came back.

My father was taught: ‘When important negotiations and big deals, the notary must be included’.

I have asked a notary named Dominic a few times so far, even Dalya alone. My father and I are people who interact, so I think I can ask for more peace of mind.

When relieved, the surrounding gaze turned diagonally behind Darya.

Looking back, a woman with ivory hair walked over.

“Hello, Mr. Dalya”

“I always take care of you, Deputy Guild Manager”

Darya met lightly.

Approaching was Gabriella Jeddah, deputy guild director for the commercial guild.

I would call her mature at her age, but she’s the kind of woman who gets her gaze off.

A tailored dark blue dress with a long baroque pearl necklace.

He was an Alliance employee whose father had looked after him since he was young, and Darya had known him since he was a student.

“They’re discussing a contract, but the conference room on the third floor could be booked, so you should use it next to this office.”

“… thank you”

“I might have an appointment,” which means I guess I don’t have an appointment.

The conference room adjacent to this office has not been soundproofed where safety aspects have been considered.

The phrase ‘Finally, you mean let me hear it all, I get it’ decides not to speak up.

but Gabriella in front of her added with her pale lips loosely lifted up.

“Everyone seems very busy today. Of the two commercial guild attendees, could one be me?

“… Yes, thank you”

There can be no such thing as a veto against the deputy guild chief against the Running Magic Instructor himself.

Darya left it to me without hesitation.
