A Bond Beyond Blood

1. A Normal Everyday

I took off my shoes after I entered the house, switching them out for my home slippers. It was quiet as usual, aside from the noises coming from the floor above, most likely game sounds.

"Chiori's probably playing games in her room again."

Looking inside the fridge, I found a bottle of oolong to drink. Taking that and some snacks with me, I went to the couch, and placed them next to me while I stretched my arms and legs. After that, I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv.

My name is Takumi Chihara, or 'Chihara, Takumi' as written in documents. I am 18 years old, with short dark hair and a slightly taller than average stature. I like to take strolls during the evening and watching tv (anime mostly). Generally I live a slow, happy life. I do not have a girlfriend yet, but it seems that with my grades going as is, I will at least be likely to enroll into the college I wish to pursue. In the morning I wake up annoyed when the alarm rings, in the afternoon I hang out, in the evening I have leisure or homework, depending on how busy the week was, and at 11pm at the latest I go to sleep.

Most would consider me boring, a person that could be replaced by anyone. But isn't that fine? Is there something wrong with taking the conventional paths in life?

As I went through the channels I breathed a bored sigh. No interesting new anime, didn't feel like watching talk shows. In the end I switched to a random nature documentary while relaxing, though after quickly becoming bored of it, I decided to take care of the math homework in advance.

While walking through the 2nd floor hallway I heard rowdy laughter and yelling coming from the door opposite my room.

If there is one thing I'd change about my life it would be to make her be a little less loud, or give my room some thicker walls. However, nothing that I can't handle, I thought, as I opened the door to my room and dropped my backpack to the floor.

I neatly cleaned my desk before beginning work, and put the window a bit open. A nice cool stream of air came in, and I became motivated enough to get some work done. I always feel at my most comfortable when I take things step by step, arranging everything to be to my tastes.

Taking a close look at the homework, I thought through on how to approach it. It was confusing and a little overwhelming at first glance, but after a while, by gradually remembering all the things that were explained in class before, I slowly got through it.

I was so engrossed in my work that my sister had to shout at me from the hall to come downstairs for dinner.

I enjoy myself at these times, to the point I barely can get distracted. The 'no-pressure' moments in life where I can set myself to do a task, and complete it well. A bit robotic, but it's what I'm good at. I'm not one for much drama or theatrics, no delusions of grandeur.

As I finished my homework a minute the breeze had already gotten a bit colder. I put down my pencil and looked at the results. Got about three fourths on the way through, the rest I can easily fill tomorrow morning.

I went downstairs, not wanting my sister to have to wait on me for dinner.

My sister looked a bit disheveled, due to all the heated gaming moments. She sat listlessly opposite out parents, looking exhausted and impatient, seeming ready to leave the moment dinner was over.

I took a seat beside her quietly, not wanting to stir her into a bad mood. Our parents looked at me, and gave an acknowledging nod, before my mom served our food.

The meal itself was adequate... standard, no eccentric flavoring or the like. Perfectly edible.

Once conversation started, my dad began about his day at work, and we followed talking about what we did while at school. It was the usual, less of a chat and more a routine exchange of information, voluntary or otherwise.

Yet while eating the basic meal, sharing a moment of peace, I felt at ease. My sister kept sneaking me glaces to the side, or perhaps past me, back to the direction of her room. I was getting a bit tired as well, after having worked a couple of hours.

After dinner was over, our parents turned their attention over to each other, letting us do as we pleased. Chiori went back to her room, and the loud gaming noises that followed returned.

I went back inside my room, getting into my pajamas and heading to bed. I snuggled myself into the big, warm woolen blanket covering my bed, it's softness enveloping me and soon went into a deep slumber.

Or so was the plan.

I woke up again soon after, sweat drenching my body, as the room felt as boiling hot as a sauna. A deep, soft moaning echoed through the room, reverberating in my ears.  Barely being able to see through the sweat my eyes were covered in, as well as the dark of the room,The only think I could make out was a blurry silhouette of someone sitting on top of me.

I blinked my eyes a couple times, still disoriented and confused. When I could see properly again, what I saw was my sister, completely naked, straddling herself against my leg. I wanted to move, but her full weight pinned me down onto the bed.

"...Onii-chan." She whimpered in between her moans, calling for me.

Only one coherent thought formed in my mind as I woke up into this absurd situation;

What the hell is happening?
