Chapter 81 - Ruin Somebody’s Business

81. Ruin Somebody’s Business

Translator: Alanese Fantasy

Inside a hovel in the B.O.M.

“What? You just give me the chicken feed? Are you kidding me? You think you are dealing with a f**king beggar or something?”

A man lowered his voice and cursed at the phone in the dark room.

“Half a million, take it or leave it. It’s your decision. After all, the value of it will go down with its freshness. The longer you keep it, the cheaper it gets.” The voice of the man on the other side of the phone was cold and indifferent.

Hearing that, the man’s lungs were going to explode out of anger, but he must sell it to someone, and it wouldn’t do him any good if he kept it to himself.

“Seven hundred thousand. That’s the bottom line. I risked my life for this and if the Management Bureau find it out, I will be dead!”

“Fine, deal.”

The man on the other side of the phone smiled as if he knew that this man would make the compromise.

“Then when? And who decides the location?” The man asked.

“When you go downstairs, throw the stuffed bag into the trash can and then take away the bag in the trash can below your apartment. That will be the whole process of our deal.”

“That’s it? Aren’t you coming over to check on the goods yourself?” The man was bewildered. After all, seven hundred thousand was not a small sum of money.

“I can lend you the balls and you still won’t be bold enough to trick me. My man will follow you all along, so there will be no need for me to worry the money and the goods will be taken away by someone else. That’s all. Call this number when you have new goods next time. Wish you good luck.”

After exchanging pleasantries, the man hung up without saying anything else.

“F**k! No one will come to you ever again! I can sell that sh*t for a million in the black market and you son of a b**ch gave me seven hundred thousand only! I’ll be damned if I ever come to you again.”

The man hung up the call in anger and left the hovel.

The moment he left, another man walked out from the dark with a half-full lunchbox holding in his hands. He probably heard the man talking in anger when he came over to throw away his trash.

He then pushed the glasses on his nose and gazed at the hallway indifferently. Without doing anything more, he threw away his lunch box and returned to his lab as if he had not seen what just happened.

As Jiang Huo had demanded, Pei Hao was waiting for him down the building of the B.O.M. when he got off work.

“God! What takes him so long?” Pei Hao checked his watch impatiently.

All of a sudden, he sniffed the strong smell of blood.

“Did someone get hurt?”

That was Pei Hao’s first reaction. He followed the smell immediately, but when he turned from the corner and got out of the gate, he found the smell was coming out from the trash can.

“Can it be that someone threw the lab mice from the B.O.M. here?”

Pei Hao was reaching out to grab it, but out of nowhere, a man with a hat rushed over, snatched his bag and ran away.

“Goddamn it! Are you robbing me? Freeze! Now!”

Pei Hao ran to the man who was running ahead; then he sent him flying in mid-air with a kick.

The man didn’t even realize what had happened and got knocked out with foams coming out from his mouth.

“You are courting death to rob me!”

Pei Hao bent over to pick his bag up and then called the police, “I just caught a burglar. Will you guys come over and take him away…”

Pei Hao hung up the call after he told the police the exact location.

He was going to leave, but after he thought that the burglar might run away when he woke up, he looked around and bent a road sign with bare hands. Then, he tied it the man up with the sign like he was tying a rope.

“There! You won’t be able to run away now!”

Pei Hao clapped his hands, when he returned to the trash can he had just passed by, but the smell of blood had already gone.

“That’s weird. What happened? Did someone take it away?”

‘Never mind. It’s none of my business anyway.’

He then walked back to the building and kept waiting for Jiang Huo.

Around five minutes later, the police came over. Two of the officers saw the burglar who was entangled with the road sign with blood on his mouth, and they fell into a trance.

“Is he… dead?”

“I don’t know! Who did this?”

“Could it be the man who called us?”

“Should that be considered as vandalism? Why couldn’t he just find a rope? I don’t even know whether he is alive or not. He is too violent!”

At this moment, Pei Hao happened to walk by with Jiang Huo. Hearing what the police had just said, he grabbed Jiang Huo by his arms and walked away.
