A Failure's hopeful Journey

You Xi Wang's body shuddered as soon as he heard this voice. It was easy to recognize this voice. It was his sister speaking. He slowed down and parked the vehicle to the side of the track. He did not rush to go back. At this moment his eyes were blood red. His aura was horribly menacing. He did not want his sister to see him like this. So he spoke in a hoarse voice, "How did you know I was here?"

You Zhichi replied softly, "Do you not know that we are connected?"

You Xi Wang did not reply to this. After his silence for half a minute, a sigh was heard over the headset. You Zhichi spoke, "Okay, I asked around and tracked you. Also, Maya could sense you."

You Xi Wang hummed but did not speak. His sister seemed to have been aware of his mood and said, "Nothing good will come out from the desire to kill. You need to rein in your anger or it will make you what you hate the most." her tone was very patient and calm.

You Xi Wang asked back, "And what is it that I hate the most?" as if trying to ask himself the answer.

You Zhichi replied after a few seconds, "We have two options, you can choose which thing is more hateful." she was deliberately mystifying it. You Xi Wang might be feeling a strong bloodlust he was still conscious.

You Xi Wang asked, "What two things?" his tone was a little dejected.

You Zhichi spoke, "Bell-pepper, and getting old. So what do you want to be? Old or Bell-pepper or an Old bell-pepper." You Xi Wang was surprised to hear this but then he couldn't help but started laughing. While laughing he spoke, "Chichi, you suck at joking, you are such a mannequin."

You Zhichi, who was feeling fairly proud of her pun, got triggered and yelled through the headset, "Who is the mannequin? Brat, dare to tell this lady where you are. I will break your ass into pieces and then get you some plastic implants. You mannequin ass. Wait where you are." then a loud voice was heard seemingly You Zhichi dumped the headset in the monitoring room and was rushing to her brother. 

You Xi Wang who laughed finally calmed down a little. He stepped out of the vehicle and muttered to himself as he glanced at the stars in the sky, "If only..." his eyes had a strange spark, no one knew what he was things about. The time passed as he was lost in his thoughts. Suddenly he felt someone approaching him. He looked and saw his sister descending from the sky. The girl walked up to him with a poker face and raised her hand. You Xi Wang closed his eyes, ready to accept the slap coming towards him. 

After a few moments instead of a hard slap, he felt a warm embrace. He understood that his sister hugged him. He wanted to hug her back but he hesitated. He thought of something and spoke in a low whisper, "Chichi if I tell you that I am not your real brother, but someone who has transmigrated to this world and possessed this body after your brother died in the come?"

You Xi Wang closed his eyes waiting for You Zhichi to push him away or to say that he was joking. But what happened next woke him up from his blood lust. You Zhichi spoke, "That day at the cemetery, I also saw mom and dad's soul avatar. I knew that you were not my brother, but while mom accepted you, dad asked me to wait and decide for myself. He told me that you will be the one to lead my family to a better future. At first, I was acting in front of you. So that the others do not find out. But as time passed I realized that you were not acting or lying. You were really trying to be my gougou. You know, my brother would have never been able to raise his voice in front of the elders. I always knew why you tried so hard. Was it not for the promise you made with OUR parents. How can I not accept you after all that?"

You Xi Wang's figure shivered and tears started to rain from his closed eyes. He asked with a stutter, "When did you accept me?" he was sobbing.

You Zhichi caressed his back gently and said, "The day you broke the tiles in the guest room using your iron head. I could see that in your eyes, there was a struggle but still you did not regret it. You accepted the suffering and pain for my family first. Then you gave up your dignity for me when you kneeled down in front of me. You did not say a word when I sent you to the punishment hall. I am not that cold-heart, gougou. Just like mom said, 'No matter who you are, you are still my little brother and my parent's second child."

You Xi Wang did not hold back anymore and he hugged You Zhichi in his arms. He started to cry. It may seem like he has accepted his new life but on the inside, he always had this burden over his heart. He wanted to tell someone about his reality. He wanted someone to accept him the way he was. He did not expect You Zhichi to be aware of his identity as a traverser. Today he could finally let go of the burden of being a liar he carried on his conscience. 

After he cried out all his burden. The two people separated. Before things could turn awkward, You Zhichi grabbed his ear and twisted it. She growled and spoke, "Brat, you called me a mannequin? See if you get a synthetic ass after this. All your lovely birds will fly away." the birds were You Xi Wang's girlfriends. 

You Xi Wang knew that his sister was doing all this so he does not make the situation between them awkward. He exaggeratedly screamed, and spoke, "Oh, lord of heavens, do you see what time has come. First, they crack bad jokes, then bully those who stay true to this. Oh, my ear, OOUCCHHH... NO MORE, BIG SIS, I WON'T MAKE FUN OF YOU AGAIN. OH GRANDMOTHER, OH HOLY ANGEL, LET GO OF THAT EAR, PLEASE." You Zhichi twisted the ear quite hard, the later part of his reaction was authentic. 

After playing around for a bit You Xi Wang gave You Zhichi two laps around the track and then they returned home. He really let go of the burdens and the stress inside his heart. He always felt like he was doing all this to pay off the parents or the family for all the love and care they showered him with but tonight he understood that he was just overthinking the facts. 

His parents had accepted him the moment he went to the cemetery and his sister, was also not so close to him for any reason but she had accepted him as her brother. You Xi Wang drove the vehicle all the way home with a faint smile on his face. You Zhichi did ask him about the things in his old life and You Xi Wang did not hide anything. He described everything from the earth's culture to the earth's technological advancement. The trends and the taboos. They talked about a lot of things except the personal life of You Xi Wang. They did avoid this topic deliberately as this topic might disrupt the happy vibe among them. 

After reaching home, You Xi Wang asked Fenny to follow him to the workshop and they started to design a face mask for the phantom team. The beast mask was shaped like a beast. This mask will be equipped with lots of sensors. These sensors will display all the information on the eyeglasses of this mask. It was a sort of HUD. You Xi Wang's mask was shaped like a white wolf with a crescent moon mark between his brows. He decided to engrave space arrays on everyone's battle suit to save them the hassle to carry the weapons on the move. 

This will increase the team's maneuverability while reducing their work pressure. Maya and the other beasts were also given some dedicated tools such as armors. Yes, the body armor consisted of, chest and back armor, leg guard above the knees. You Xi Wang also crafted head protection gear for the wolves. These head guards all were equipped with a communication array. The beasts could now contact the whole team and relay important information faster than before.

Early next morning, You Xi Wang and his team stood on the top of a glass edifice. It shone like a pillar of light as the first rays of the sun hit it. The white wolf mask spoke, "Are you all ready?"

"YES." the team replied. You Xi Wang said again, "You can go back if you want to cause you may not be able to go back home in one piece."

The team spoke, "We Know." 

You Xi Wang did not say anything but just muttered, "Edward Colt, I have come.."
