A Failure's hopeful Journey

Unaware of the decisions taken by Maddison, You xi Wang came out of the room, held Yuki's jade hand, and walked to the infirmary. The girl did not ask anything except, "Are you okay?"

You Xi Wang nodded as he continued to lead her by her hand. Yuki walked closer to his ear and whispered, "Can you help me in breaking through the primal soul realm?"

You Xi Wang glanced at her and smiled, "With pleasure my love."

Yuki looked around and pecked his lips gently. The two then walked forward to the infirmary. Outside the infirmary gate, he found his three friends. He asked, "How is the situation of the people?"

Allan spoke, "The two males are fine but Gena is under critical care unit. To keep the bugs away she ate a boosting pill. Her body is now severely over-drafted but apart from this everything is fine. Don't worry much they placed her inside the critical care unit to take care of her better."

Fenny said, "Why did you rush in. alone?"

You Xi Wang said, "I was placing the final barrier flag when I saw the two males fighting and surviving. They told me that one of their teammates was lost in the swarm. I made them retreat and walked forward, to be honest, I did not know how deep inside I was in. The black swarm blinded the scene perception. I am sorry."

Fenny said, "If not for the sake of saving a life. I would have smacked your guts out of your brains Xiao Wang. What would we say to everyone back at home if something wrong happened to you, Bitch." although she was smiling on the outside, on the inside she was ferocious. 

You Xi Wang listened to her curses and scolding with his head down. Only after Yuki's intervention was he spared. The boy was given the day off along with Yuki. So the two set up a seclusion camp inside You Xi Wang's room.

The two people were sitting on the floor with legs crossed, facing each other. The girl had her eyes closed and cultivated according to her cultivation method while the boy was sitting in meditation. He had a sound isolation array placed inside from preventing the disturbance. The spirit energy was thin on the moon so he had spirit stones scattered around Yuki.

He was there only to guard her. The girl has been preparing for this advancement and was not ready to make a breakthrough in one fell swoop. Unlike most of the people who don't mind stepping into the primal soul realm in two steps. Yuki aimed to do it in one step. 

The spiritual energy revolved around her body and concentrated inside her soul sea. She did not have a system to help her so she was on her own. Outside You Xi Wang kept order. Time flicked by like a gust of wind. Seven hours passed and Yuki was now covered in sweat all over her body. The center of her brows bulged slightly but You Xi Wang did not stop her. 

Cultivation was a thing where you tread the steep slope on your own. If it is supported by someone else, then one day you will stumble and the fall will break you in both body and soul. Suddenly the temperature started to fall inside the room. Some snowflakes condensed. A dull  THUMP sounded from Yuki's body. 

You Xi Wang smiled as he opened his eyes. After a few minutes Yuki opened her eyes as well, she saw her beloved smiling at her and she blossomed with an equally beautiful smile. The boy said, "Congratulations on the breakthrough."

Yuki replied in a low voice, "Thank you. What gift do I get?"

You Xi Wang asked, 'What do you want?"

The girl replied, "A warm her and a kiss, probably."

You Xi Wang smiled and pulled her into his embrace gently. The two people kissed each other. Yuki smiled after they break away from the kiss. She said, "Will you marry me after going back home?"

You Xi Wang was surprised but quickly reacted, "Okay, if you want to do it then we do it."

Yuki smiled and said, "After we go back home, get the blessings of the elders and then I will go to accept the lineage of my father's family, that way I will be able to help your dream fulfill." her eyes were filled with sparkles as she said this. 

You Xi Wang asked, "What is my dream?"

Yuki said, "The peak of it all."

The boy chuckled and said, "Yes, the peak, but with you all. I love you but not because you can support me but because you can walk side by side with me."

The two started to converse about their future and the night fell. Yuki went back to her room to consolidate her realm while You Xi Wang stood up and walked to the gym in the command center. It was wee hours and only the patrol soldiers were on duty. The boy first went to the infirmary checked up on Gena, then came to the gymnasium. 

The gymnasium was more like a martial arts Dojo. They did not have much requirement for muscle training, so it was a huge empty hall for the soldiers to practice martial arts. Unexpectedly You Xi Wang found the old major at the place practicing some martial arts. His physiques were anything but old. 

The man had a perfect mermaid line below his 6 abs. It was as if a stone carving was covered with skin. You Xi Wang couldn't help but want to compete against him. He said, "Can I spar with you, sir?"

The old man replied, "Surely, the young god of war. Cannot hold back the spirit to battle?"

You Xi Wang scratched the back of his head with a sheepish smile on his face. The old man said, "Come, let's take out melee spirit weapons." he took out the brawler gloves and put them on. 

How could the young man hold himself back? He also took out his gloves and also the war boots. The two people stood facing each other. The old man approached You Xi Wang first. He wanted to gain the initial momentum but how could it be easy to face the monster like this? You Xi Wang switched his chance and greeted the old man with an overhead kick. 

The leg passed over the old man's head from the left but the next second it came back at him for the right. Half roundhouse kick. The old man used his arms to guard himself to catch the impact. The impact came but from his gut. The kicking method You Xi Wang used made his leg akin to a whip. Deceive and destroy. The damage may not be too much but an accumulation of anything is harmful. 

The two people kept at it for an hour before You Xi Wang stopped. The old man was holding back at first but later he started to take on attacks but diffuse them with softness and hardness. You Xi Wang said, "Taichi."

The old man smiled, "Thank you for teaching me." in the spar just know whenever the old man attacked You Xi Wang diffused his attackers with taichi, but he did not take it into account that the old man would actually pick it up during a spar. 

This old man was anything but simple. The two bowed to each other and went to the separate bathroom areas. After they dressed up in a uniform they both headed to the southern squad hall. The old man said, "Kid, you better go to the command center. You are being reposted. also, those were some nice skills back there."

You Xi Wan was confused over why he would be sent to the command center. Yet after a salute, he followed the command. He came to the command center and greeted the guard outside. Walked in and saw Deputy Riaz and Commander Maddison Midnight were talking to each other. 

He saluted as he said loudly, "Captian You Xi Wang, reporting."

Maddison said, "At ease. You are called here to take charge of your exploration squad but let me tell you a lot of people, including you can die in the ruins. So be very careful when you enter." her voice was heavy and solemn. It poured a bucket of cold water over You Xi Wang's excitement. 

You Xi Wang replied, "Yes, Sir."

Maddison told him, "Also, the equipment we took from you is also returned, we have placed an order back home it will be delivered shortly. As for your squad, Deputy Riaz will introduce you to the squad and the gathering hall. Dismissed."

Listening to her indifferent speech You Xi Wang almost asked her if she was having menstrual mood swings. But that would probably have him half dead so the boy held it in and decided to ask when the teacher is not in the uniform.
