A Failure's hopeful Journey

You Xi Wang came to the alliance hall. He found Ilex talking with Djal about something related to the arrangement of the troops. Sasha was guiding him to the meeting room. The people noticed the handsome devil walking over and his presence was even more mysterious today. They all stood up and bowed to him. 

The boy smiled and said, "Why are you all so stiff? Well, you guys are beyond my help. Now, Djal, are your people ready? I wanted to ask if we can travel at night? Is it safe?" 

Djal node and said, "Yes, the troops are ready. We can leave whenever you command. As for whether we should march at night or the morning that you will have to ask the dwarf elder. I have no idea what sort of terrain it is from here to there." 

You Xi Wang looked around and did not find the grumpy old dwarf. He asked, 'Where is the dwarf elder, Alcalde?" 

Ilex said, "He will be here. He said he needed to brief his kinsmen to be on their best behavior around you." 

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "Well, he had to comment on my parents. He was lucky to say it under your roof. I would have slain him regardless for disrespecting my parents. Also, I am not some sort of a monster that only goes on killing regardless of anything." 

Ilex was well aware of this otherwise her city of elves would have long been leveled into a parking area by him. She nodded and said, "I am aware, Sir. What you have done for the Elf kind, is not something that we can repay by doing anything for you or your people. I just hope that if we make some mistake, you pardon us." 

She was about to lower her head and bow to him when a strong spiritual power held her up. You Xi Wang had used his soul force to hold her up. He said with a solemn face, "You may have dissolved the courtroom of the elves, and made the alliance of the spiritual beings, you still are the queen of elves. You have not done anything wrong and even helped us a lot. 

I, on the other hand, misused your token of gratitude by dragging my people here to train. We are using your spirit ponds and resources to strengthen ourselves. So if we can be of any help to you in return, we are grateful to do so. I apologize for any inconvenience caused." 

With that said, You Xi Wang lowered his head and bowed slightly to the Elf Queen in front of everyone. However, they did not dare to mistake it as his weakness but they understood that this boy was a virtuous person and not the battle maniac they took him to be. 

When the first time he came to the city of elves, he had an argument with some courtiers regarding the team carrying their weapons. Then he owned the Royal Elf lab with his team and the final charge he showed was still fresh like yesterday even in the eyes of the people. 

You Xi Wang had shown his stand in front of the people for two reasons. Firstly to clear up the bloody mist around him, two to make sure that these people do not go and mess with his rookies left behind. 

Alcalde came over at this moment and he saw You Xi Wang exerting his soul force on Ilex. He immediately regretted his timing but then he saw the boy bowing down to Ilex in thanks. He was shocked and to confirm that it was not an illusion he even pinched his thigh. The stinging pain made him confirm that it was all true. 

He walked forward and said, "I apologize. The stress regarding the survival of my clan has taken over my peace and calm. Please forgive me for my rude behavior. I seek your help, Sir You." 

You Xi Wang was not surprised, his mother used to tell him that if you are nice to the people, they are nice to you as well. Although it may not be true always but in some spots it was true. After all, everyone was not as cunning and disgusting as humans. Spiritual species all had their beliefs and they all had their reasons but once they trust you, they will trust you till the end. 

He heard what the Dwarven elder said and nodded. He asked, "Can we march out at night?" 

Alcalde replied, "We can but it will need some extra vigilance." 

The boy nodded and said, "It is good, we will use this trip to train. Prepare for we will leave at night." 

Alcalde and Djal nodded and they left the spirit alliance hall to gather their men and luggage. Ilex began to arrange a means of transport for the people. Ogres did not use battle armors and neither did the dwarves. 

Fenny, however, had they all learn how to use comms and handed it over to them. She actually bullied these guys into learning. She said, "If you slowed down the team, I will blame you in front of Captain and you will die." 

Well, knowing that You Xi Wang might just do as she said, they all learned the comms. She was cruel but it was all for the sake of her team's safety. One miscommunicated action can spell the demise of her team. 

The people were all gathered at the entrance of the elven city. The city had four gates in four directions at this moment they stood at the western gate. Ilex had arranged hoverboards for them but they were all refused by You Xi Wang. The training had begun so how could they use external help. The ogres were going to take a hike and so will they. The dwarves used their native animals. The speed will be equal to them. 

Celestia and Lily bade him farewell after handing over the spirit channel weapons. The command of the squad was left to Allan's girlfriend. You Xi Wang glanced at the team and said, "MARCH OUT." 

"HOO-AH" with a war cry the team left the elven city.
