A Loli’s Space Odyssey

"Welcome back, Ojou-sama!" (unison)

After I trashed the penthouse, me, Stella and Kitty returned to the Avalanche. Honestly, killing a ruler doesn't affect me at all. This planet can rot for all I care. Stella was more important to me.

Of course, my other girls too. I seriously had to stop Alisha from her excessive bowing. Geez. Oversleeping isn't a crime. Yet she slammed her head so many on the floor, it was about to get a dent. And on the other hand…

*Grrr*

*Hissss*

Molly and Kitty seem to not get along. I guess dogs and cats just don't like each other. Even if I saw plenty of cute "dog and cats best friends" videos on GoTube back on Earth. It seems that my dog girl doesn't want to get along with my cat girl.

"Ojou-sama, why did you bring this rotten stray with you?"

"Who are you calling a stray, you flee bag?"

"Enough, both of you! Listen carefully as I will only say this once. This is Kitty and she vowed to serve. From here on, I want you girls to be nice, train her for combat, teach her the ropes and all the other stuff needed."

"Fine."

"Anyway, first thing is first now. Molly please check this external drive and make sure it isn't a virus or anything. I don't want to corrupt Ava's systems."

I tossed the flash drive to Molly. She picked up something which resembled an old PSP console. She inserted the flash drive and looked at the screen for a few moments.

“It seems this is the real deal. I can vouch that this isn’t a virus. They really are coordinates to Eleanor.”

“Okay. Do we have enough fuel to get there in one go?”

“Well, calculating the hyperdrive and then staying at a suitable speed… yes. We should be able to safely land, but we will seriously need heavy refueling afterwards.”

“Then that’s clear. Stella, prepare to take us there.”

“Ojou-sama… *sniff*”

“Why are you crying out of a sudden?”

“I’m just moved that you still would trust me after my failure.”

Get over it already. We all make mistakes and it’s not like we got separated because of you. How the hell should I even answer to that? Hmm… let’s try…

“Consider this a lesson, Stella. We all must learn from our mistakes. If you get hit, you must stand up again and become stronger.”

“Ojou-sama! I won’t disappoint you!”

“As always, ojou-sama is kind and smart!” (Alisha)
“Err… sorry to butt in… but is it really all true, Shorty? You’re a ruler? No. I guess I shouldn’t doubt you after that display of strength. You’re more like a Goddess.” (Kitty)

“A Goddess is the appropriate way to describe ojou-sama. It seems this girl has some decency. I give my praise. With a bit of tutoring she might be good enough to join your bed.” (Alisha)

“Join bed? As in sleeping together?” (Kitty)

“No. As in having sex.” (Alisha)

“Nyaaa!! That’s crazy. You’re all girls! It’s not normal.” (Kitty)

“For us it’s perfectly normal, though.” (Molly)

“Stay away! I didn’t sign up for this.” (Kitty)

Oh boy. My head is starting to hurt again from their bickering. If I knew I would end up in this situation I would have seriously written totally different personalities for them. Is it just me or did the girls suddenly throw hostile glances to Kitty?

“Alright, that’s enough! All of you. I want to rest as this day was tiring. Kitty, we can discuss your role on the ship later. For now…”

“If I may, ojou-sama, it is best for her to head to the med bay.” (Rose)

“I’m perfectly healthy, you know?” (Kitty)

“It’s just a precaution. We should do a full medical checkup. It shouldn’t take more than an hour. It’s also to prevent contamination with an unknown virus.” (Rose)

Rose does have a point. Technology has advanced but who knows how many diseases are there in space.

“Kitty, please go along with it.”

“Fine.” (Kitty)

“Misha, can you take care of it?”

For a second it seemed that she glanced towards Rose. Did they wink at each other? Normally my super senses would catch on, but I just lack the focus now. I’m sure it’s nothing serious, as the constantly expressionless Misha bowed to me and gave her firm reply.

“Understood. Miss Kitty, please follow me. Lisa I will also require your assistance.” (Misha)

“Sure. Count on me.” (Lisa)

“The rest of you have your orders. Wake me up when we get to Eleanor.”

“Understood.” (unison)

Before taking Kitty to the med bay, Misha gave her a small tour of the ship, putting emphasis on all the places she isn't allowed in or she should not touch. Almost for the entire duration Kitty's jaw was dropped by the beauty and all the facilities on board.

"Why is a mercenary ship like this one so freaking luxurious!?” (Kitty)

Kitty would often say stuff like that, but Misha kept her expressionless face and mostly ignored her. She only gave a half-assed reply that basically didn't answer anything:

"You see, a comfortable living environment is very important. Delicious meals, clean rooms, clean and comfortable beds, and other such things have a positive impact, both physically and mentally, on the people who spend their time living in such a space.”

And after the tour, they finally stopped at the med bay.

"Well, let’s start with the check-ups then. We’ll do a full scan on the medical pod first. It might not be the latest model, but it's quite capable." (Misha)

Kitty followed Misha's instructions and sat down in the pod. The pod scanned her and displayed all her vital functions. After that it was necessary for some needles to come down and take some blood samples. 

"Everything checks out. It seems no illness was detected and all your body functions are normal. At some point even the multi-language translator chip was also inserted." (Misha)

"That wasn't that bad. Although I am not a fan of needles, I'm not a baby. Was it really necessary to bind my body in so many places?" (Kitty)

"Those restraints weren't for your medical check. They are for what's to come." (Misha)

"Nyaa?" (Kitty)

"You see, this isn't an average medical pod. Molly, our mechanic, is a genius when it comes to machines. She also made sure to modify it and add an additional feature to it.

Your attitude leaves to be desired and you don't share the mentality needed to serve, ojou-sama. So that's why…" (Misha)

Misha stopped in the middle of her sentence and took a glance towards her left. Near a control panel, Lisa was fiddling with some buttons until eventually she stood up and approached the pod.

"Let's just say it bluntly. I'm going to initiate the remodeling boot up sequence." (Lisa)
