Alexander The Great Mage

Chapter 104 - Alexander The Teacher

The massive super tornado began to spin faster and faster, creating an utterly fearsome suction force that pulled at the mechas powerfully.

Some of the closer ones failed to respond in time, and were sucked in. Communications with those mechas were instantly cut off.

"Disperse." Prince Jolto instructed calmly as he surveyed his surroundings. Far in the distance, beyond the massive super tornado, he could see four people on dragons of some sort.

He pointed at them.

"And capture them."

All around him, all the mechas that had managed to enter Arcanus 26's atmosphere immediately charged towards them.

*-*-*-*

Thousands of giant mechas take up a lot of space. They really do.

The sky of Arcanus 26 was a vast, vast place. The distance from the ground to the top of the atmosphere was probably tens of kilometers apart. And even with such an extraordinarily large space, the hundred thousand mechas filled almost the entire sky above Rin-Turah.

The super tornado of swirling sub zero winds and ice shards took up a huge chunk of the sky. But the mechas had dispersed in all directions. They easily avoided it and flew around it to cut straight for the four people atop 'dragons of some sort'.

Liz'An took a deep breath and roared out mightily as she summoned an astounding amount of ice and wind energy. Another super tornado began to swirl, this time, the four of them were in the eye of the tornado.

Next to her, Shira and Kan-Dari supported Liz'An by releasing their own fearsome ice energy, causing the temperature around them to continue to plunge.

"Do you think it is enough?" Shira asked Kan-Dari softly.

"I don't think so." Kan-Dari replied softly. "They have really powerful shields that could nullify our magic. I am sure a little bit of cold like this would not pose much of a problem to them."

Liz'An grunted as she continued to exert and release her energy. The tornado around them swirled impossibly faster and the temperature dropped closer and closer to absolute zero.

Alexander chuckled at Kan-Dari's words. "This isn't "a little bit of cold", young lady. Your comrade here had probably surpassed even the yellow robes in terms of power. She's probably somewhere in the early stages of the white robe."

"Really, Your Majesty? So there's a chance that the 'mechas' you mentioned will be stopped by Liz'An's tornado?" Shira asked hopefully.

"Not a chance." Alexander replied with a smile. "Liz'An may have entered the realm of the white robe, but the enemy is much, much stronger than a mere white robe. Kan-Dari is right on one point though. This cold, no matter how powerful and how close to being absolute zero, will not be able to stop the mechas. Their anti-magic technology is very well developed."

"Is it really that powerful? Liz'An's tornado seems to be growing in strength. In addition to Wywy's power, her super tornado will only continue to grow more powerful" Kan-Dari said in mild confusion.

"You'll see for yourself soon. In the meantime, do everything you can to stop them. I would like to see how creative you guys are when dealing with an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. Go on." Alexander encouraged them.

Shira and Kan-Dari nodded. They remained silent as they studied the situation for a while.

The tornado was still growing rapidly in strength as Liz'An finally showed off her near-infinite pool of mana. The biting wind swirled and thundered at extremely high speeds.

Within the tornado, the mechas' anti-magic shields glowed brightly as they neutralized the wind and ice magical energy. However, they quickly began to dim as they consumed large amounts of power to resist Liz'An's ferocious tornado.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

The first few mechas finally broke through the super tornado and reached the center where the four were waiting.

BOOM!! A massive explosion of fire energy greeted them warmly.

Their anti-magic shields finally collapsed and they took a horrendous amount of fire damage.

SPLAAMMM!!!

Massive blobs of semi-frozen goo smashed into the mechas and seeped into every single nook and cranny before finally disabling them. Like rocks, they began to fall from the sky one at a time.

"Excellent, Kan-Dari! That's really creative! Combining your water magic with Princess Yellow's earth magic to create that… gooey thing." Alexander praised from the side as he witnessed the semi-frozen goo take down several giant mechas.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Kan-Dari smiled happily like a little girl after being praised by Alexander.

By her side, Shira opted to discard creativity entirely and focused all her energy on one thing - firepower. She worked together with Firestorm, her Wyvern, to create massive fireballs at maximum compression.

BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

As more and more mechas burst forth from the swirling winds of the super tornado, all of them were greeted by massive and highly compressed fireballs which ripped apart their anti-magic shields. After which, they were immediately disabled by Kan-Dari's semi-frozen blobs of goo.

"Excellent, Shira!" Alexander praised her as well. "Sticking to what you do best and using it to break open their irritating anti-magic shields is an excellent choice."

Shira grinned at Alexander happily.

However, before she could say anything…

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!

Finally, thousands of mechas broke through Liz'An's super tornado.

Although Shira's highly compressed fireballs and Kan-Dari's semi-frozen blobs of goo were there to greet them enthusiastically, they could not keep up with the sheer numbers that reached their position.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!

Fireballs continued to explode, and semi-frozen blobs continued to harass the mechas. However, thousands of mechas were unaffected and they began to close in on the four of them.

Shira gritted her teeth and released a massive wall of fire which surged towards the incoming mechas. However, the wall of fire lacked the power to overwhelm the anti-magic shields.

And because the mechas were able to resist Shira's wave of fire, Kan-Dari's semi-frozen blobs were also handily repulsed by the mechas.

The three girls had given their all, and they were overwhelmed.

"I think it's time for you to enter the stage." Flamewing commented lightly.

"You think so?" Alexander asked with a smile. "Apaprently, their anti-magic shields aren't as great as that idiot captain said. I don't think I need to reveal my hand today. Why don't you go on ahead and give them a little greeting?"

"I suppose I can say hi." Flamewing said somewhat too eagerly.

Like a maestro pianist finally sitting down next to three budding toddlers who were playing around with her piano, Flamewing exerted her will on the elements and began to weave her magic.

FROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The super tornado suddenly began to swirl much, much faster!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Muffled explosions could be heard as countless mechas exploded within the tornado.

BAAMMM!!!! BAAMMMM!!! BAAAMMMM!!!!

Fireballs which were already exploding at 'Maximum Compression' began to explode with much, much greater force. Mechas were directly bursting apart like watermelons.

BLAMM! BLAMMM!!

Semi-frozen blobs of goo which were easily repulsed by anti-magic shields now penetrated those shields and quickly disabled the mechas.

And for her grand finale, the wave of fire which did close to no damage previously now burned with such startling intensity that the mechas themselves caught fire.

For a moment, Liz'An, Shira and Kan-Dari watched the scene before them in stunned silence.

They really felt like little toddlers fumbling around with little construction blocks and not really making anything out of it, and then having an adult come and build an impressive and beautiful palace using those very same blocks.

"This… This is what true power is like!" Shira exclaimed in her heart.

"This… This is what true power is like!" Kan-Dari exclaimed loudly.

"Amazing." Liz'An said softly.

"I think you just found yourself three new fans." Alexander joked internally with Flamewing.

"Ah shush. Any dragon can do what I just did. We are Magius's favorite race afterall. The magical energy we wield and the maximum affinity we can reach are much higher than other races." Flamewing said modestly.

Alexander smiled at the three girls who were looking at Flamewing in utter shock and astonishment.

"She's a dragon. Don't compare yourselves to her. You girls are already plenty powerful. What you need at this point is not an increase of your power, but an increase in experience. The more you fight and battle in dangerous situations, the more efficient and effective your attacks will be. Remember this. Victory does not always belong to the strongest fighter. It can also be taken by the smartest, or the most vicious, or the one using the most appropriate attacks. Like in this case… What do you think you should have done?" Alexander patiently taught the girls as Flamewing continued to clean up the battlefield.

"Uhh… More synergy?" Kan-Dari tried to answer.

"There isn't a single right answer to battle situations. There are countless ways to win a battle. More synergy could very well be the answer." Alexander said encouragingly.

"I think we need more intel." Shira said.

Alexander nodded in approval.

"If I could find out who their leader is, I would just blast him into smithereens! That way the followers would probably back off in fear!" Shira declared.

Alexander laughed out loud. "That's an excellent idea! Liz'An, what do you think?"

However, Liz'An remained silent.

"Liz'An?" Shira nudged her lightly.

Whoosh! A burst of energy suddenly shot out from her.
