Alice the Evil – [ダークファンタジー異世界]

Chapter 11 : Igrasian Empire

The Igrasian Empire is an Empire located right in the center of the continent and directly borders seven countries, in addition to the Abyssal Forest.

It is one of the strongest countries on this continent, as evidenced by the success of the Igrasian Empire in enduring for hundreds of years, despite direct borders with many nations.

The northern part of the Igrasian Empire borders the Northern Sea.

The northeastern part borders the Nagrand Kingdom.

The eastern part directly borders the Union of Eastern Republics. This is a nation known as the "Land of a Thousand Cultivators" and is led by eight sects.

The southern part borders the Odaizar Kingdom.

The Odaizar Kingdom was once part of the Igrasian Empire during its heyday but successfully rebelled and separated.

The southwest part directly borders the Demon Lord's territory and the King Beast.

The western part directly borders the Drazon Empire, a country known as the "Sleeping Lion."

The northwest part borders the Lumeria Kingdom and the Abyssal Forest, which is the location of Azaroth.

That's a brief explanation of the geographical locations of the Igrasian Empire.

The Igrasian Kingdom is led by a highly powerful Emperor.

The Emperor successfully repelled the Demon Lord's invasion and even assisted in the King Beast's rebellion, leading to the Demon Lord adopting an isolationist policy and the King Beast gaining a sizable territory to the east of the Demon Lord's domain.

Furthermore, the Igrasian Kingdom boasts unique geography.

In the southern region, which directly borders the Odaizar Kingdom, there is a chain of mountains that covers the entire border, serving as a natural fortress against potential future Odaizar Kingdom invasions.

There is also a range of mountains surrounding the Abyssal Forest, preventing monster attacks from the Abyssal Forest.

Another distinctive feature is the highly fertile and flat land, making the Igrasian Empire one of the largest food producers. They consistently use their surplus food production as export material to neighboring countries.

However, this distinctiveness also makes neighboring countries desire to invade the Igrasian Empire. But the Igrasian Kingdom's greatest concerns are the Lumeria Kingdom and the Drazon Kingdom.

The Drazon Empire is famous for its extremely intelligent Empress with extensive knowledge. There's a possibility she is a reincarnator.

This led to the construction of a massive wall that covers the border between the Igrasian Empire and the Drazon Empire and Lumeria Kingdom.

This enormous wall, built at great cost and resources over a long period, stands as silent testimony to the Igrasian Empire's paranoia about invasion from the Drazon Empire and Lumeria Kingdom.

They constructed this massive wall to assert their territorial sovereignty and demonstrate that the Igrasian Empire has a formidable defense. If they manage to fend off an invasion, the Igrasian Empire can launch a counterattack.

However, this massive wall still has several issues.

To keep it fully operational, they must maintain a large number of soldiers and laborers on duty around the clock. This is undoubtedly one of the Igrasian Empire's biggest expenditures. Nevertheless, they consider it a worthy and profitable investment compared to having no wall protecting their territory.

Since three years ago, the Emperor ordered mandatory military service and a massive mobilization to invade the Drazon Empire and Lumeria Kingdom. However, all of this was canceled two years ago because the Emperor fell ill, and currently, the Throne is contested by three individuals, making the political situation in the Igrasian Empire highly unstable.

The three of them are the children of the Emperor, with the first child being a boy, and the rest are girls.

The Emperor is in a dilemma because he loves his three children deeply, and each of them has their own strengths in leadership. The Emperor suggested that they should remain united, but the three children chose different paths.

Certainly, this news has spread to many kingdoms, and even the Drazon Empire has started mandatory military service and mobilization. It's unknown what their intentions are, but it poses a significant threat to the Igrasian Empire.

Despite the Emperor's strong leadership, he is truly terrible at securing the succession because of his deep love for his three children. Yes, his current illness is very severe, and many healers predict that the Emperor will pass away soon.

This is bad news for the Igrasian Empire, its allies, and the good news for the countries planning to attack the Igrasian Empire.

==========

Ivy Scarlet Andelfingen Lynch von Igrasian is the first princess and the second child of Emperor Letrexus II, who is the current Emperor of the Igrasian Empire.

Even though Ivy is a royal princess and has lived a life filled with happiness and great wealth from a young age, it hasn't made her complacent. She continues to study to develop her talents in the field of magic and intelligence.

From the perspective of the common people and nobles, Ivy is an excellent princess, generous, humble, and without arrogance. She even frequents the public market and greets the citizens, making her very popular among the people.

However, Ivy's subordinates have a different view of her, vastly different from the common people's perspective.

Before the Emperor fell ill, he had divided his children's territories according to their respective abilities. Ivy was given an incredibly fertile territory in the west, but it directly borders four countries: Lumeria Kingdom, Drazon Empire, Demon Lord Domain, and King Beast Domain.

The Emperor's order before falling ill was for his three children to manage the given territories. However, they concluded that if one of them could make their territory the wealthiest and most prosperous, that person would inherit the throne.

Of course, the Emperor's three children raced to develop their respective territories, except for Ciel, who is the second princess and the third child of the Emperor. She seemed unconcerned about the throne and preferred to enjoy her life at the royal academy.

In contrast to Princess Ivy and Prince Philip, who constantly compete with each other to seize the throne. They also work tirelessly to gain the support of the nobles to have the most backing.

Certainly, the elders and ministers of the kingdom are very concerned about the possibility of a civil war between Princess Ivy, who has a territory in the west, and Prince Philip, who has a territory in the east.

The Empire will collapse if a civil war occurs.

Unlike Princess Ivy, Prince Philip is highly talented in military and politics, and he is highly trusted to defend the Igrasian Kingdom from threats from the eastern countries, even though the eastern countries have no plans to invade.

The eastern border of the Igrasian Kingdom is very vulnerable, and its flat geography makes it easy for other countries to invade. However, Prince Philip's leadership has caused the eastern countries to reconsider invasion, as rumors suggest that Prince Philip is a military genius, just like his father, and the eastern countries are reluctant to share the fate of the Demon Lord's territory.

As time goes on, the rivalry between Prince Philip and Princess Ivy becomes more heated and fierce, to the point where they are willing to do anything, including dirty tricks, to secure the Emperor's throne after their father's passing.

That's a brief explanation of the current situation in the Igrasian Empire.
