Alice the Evil – [ダークファンタジー異世界]

Chapter 71 : Hell King of Magrich

“They’ve finally arrived,” Kelton said with a serious expression, narrowing his eyes and pointing his sword at the approaching undead.

Thousands of undead, including skeleton warriors and skeleton archers, emerged from the underground. Naturally, this irritated the Blue Blood Team since the undead were too weak compared to them.

Everyone who had been on alert decided to relax and sit on the rocks.

"Hah... I thought they were strong undead, but they’re just skeleton warriors," said Kelton.

"I don't want to fight them," said Lisa.

"Such weak undead... Is the Abyssal Forest a forbidden forest?" said Connor.

"Disappointing," said Edward.

Skeleton warriors and skeleton archers are among the weakest types of undead, with levels ranging from 10 to 17.

Compared to the Blue Blood Team, they were like dust in the universe.

Thousands of skeleton warriors and archers decided to run straight towards the Blue Blood Team.

"If you guys don't want to fight them, let me handle them," said Catrinna.

"Tier A Magic, summon Middle-End Undead: Mutant Zombie Berserker."

Right in front of Catrinna, a red magic circle appeared, and from it emerged a 4-meter-tall zombie with a horrifying appearance.

The stench of the zombie's rotting flesh was overwhelming, but it did not affect her companions.

The zombie had six heads, several eyes on its body, and three legs. This creature was around level 90.

The roar of the zombie instantly froze many of the skeletons in their tracks. The Blue Blood Team decided to continue resting while the mutant zombie dealt with the skeletons.

"Hmmmm... Even though only skeleton warriors and archers showed up, something still bothers me."

"What is it, chief?" Lisa asked.

"It's unlikely that our superiors would warn us about how dangerous this forest is without reason; there must be something stronger here."

"But still, this forest is underestimating us, damn it!"

Kelton felt annoyed, sensing that the creatures in the forest were belittling him.

The Mutant Zombie Berserker then began slaughtering dozens of skeleton warriors in a single attack, and the sound of breaking bones continued without end.

"Catrinna, check if there are any strong undead around here," Kelton said.

He felt something was off and suspected that a powerful undead might be hiding nearby.

"Just a moment..."

[Ultimate Skill: Middle-High Undead Detection]

Catrinna then started searching for mid to high-level undead within a 500-meter radius. While searching, her face looked serious, but upon detecting a mid-high-level undead, her expression turned quite surprised.

Catrinna rarely showed a surprised expression unless for two reasons: encountering a very strong undead or meeting an undead she had never seen before.

"Found it!"

"About 200 meters to the east of here, this undead has a level around 90."

The Blue Blood Team members appeared indifferent upon hearing Catrinna's words.

"In that case, you handle that undead, Catrinna, we will wait here," said Kelton.

"Really!?"

Catrinna was very pleased to be entrusted with fighting the mid-high-level undead alone. This was because Catrinna had an excessive obsession with the undead.

Kelton then immediately threw an item to Catrinna, which she caught right away.

"That's a high-level teleportation item. If there is any danger, come back here immediately," said Kelton.

Every member was highly valuable, so Kelton was always cautious and alert to all possibilities.

"Alright! Thank you, Leader!"

Catrinna then left the Blue Blood Team and headed to the location of the undead.

Before she had even gone 200 meters, an undead suddenly appeared in front of her. The undead seemed to float and had no legs, wearing a rather expensive black robe adorned with some gold jewelry.

The undead also wielded a purple magic staff, and its appearance was quite terrifying. This undead was a Great Elder Lich, with a level of 93.

"You... human... have... crossed... the... boundary... of... the... White... Goddess..."

Catrinna tilted her head slightly, surprised to see an undead worshiping someone.

"Do you worship someone? Isn't it unusual for an undead to worship anyone?" Catrinna asked.

"How... dare... you... I... will... kill... you!!!"

"Go ahead if you want to kill me."

"You... human... will... face... serious... consequences... if... you... go... further..."

"I see... Unfortunately, you are weaker than me."

"Don't underestimate me!!!"

[Tier A Magic: Octa Insanity Fire]

Eight red magic circles instantly appeared around the Great Elder Lich, and the circles immediately spewed fire at Catrinna at 2-second intervals.

Catrinna quickly pulled out a brown feather, bit her finger until it bled, and drew a line of blood on the feather.

Immediately, a large undead dog with five heads appeared, blocking the attack from the Great Elder Lich.

This creature was [Dead Virens Cerbery].

"You are weaker than my pet," said Catrinna.

In this world, there was a unique summoning technique, which involved summoning a creature through a blood contract. Unlike regular summoning, summoning with a blood contract requires the user to draw a line of blood on a part of the creature to be summoned.

Before summoning the creature, it was important to note that the user and the creature must already be bound by a blood contract, which is established by subduing the creature.

"Grrrr......"

Dead Virens Cerbery was in some pain from withstanding the eight fire spells simultaneously cast by the Great Elder Lich, but thanks to its high defense, the damage inflicted was minimal.

"White... Goddess-sama... please... bestow... your... blessing..."

"Attack that undead, Laura!"

Laura was the name Catrinna had given to her Dead Virens Cerbery. Typically, the undead do not have a gender, but Catrinna chose a female name for her Dead Virens Cerbery.

Dead Virens Cerbery then immediately leaped and tried to crush the Great Elder Lich, but the Great Elder Lich quickly cast a spell.

[Tier A Magic: Mirror]

Instantly, a white light enveloped the Great Elder Lich's body, and while Dead Virens Cerbery managed to land a physical attack, it ended up injuring itself instead.

This sequence of events occurred in just 0.8 seconds.

Dead Virens Cerbery let out a roar, causing some trees to fly around, indicating that it was currently enraged.

"Damn... dog... even though... your level... is... higher... I... don't... care..."

[Tier A Magic, Summon: Massive Elder Lich]

Dozens of Elder Liches appeared and immediately surrounded Catrinna and Dead Virens Cerbery, but this was not a problem.

Thanks to its high physical strength and significant level difference, Dead Virens Cerbery was able to destroy all the Elder Liches in just a few seconds.

"Damn..."

"Quickly finish off that undead, don't waste time," ordered Catrinna.

[Tier A Magic: Darkness Razor]

Catrinna cast a buff spell on Dead Virens Cerbery, and all of its claws were enveloped in a purple aura.

The Great Elder Lich knew that it was no match for its enemy and that it would likely be defeated within seconds.

"IF I CAN'T KILL YOU, I WILL DRAG YOU TO THE REALM OF DEATH WITH ME!!!"

"It's rare for you to speak so clearly," said Catrinna.

Dead Virens Cerbery then coated one of its arms with metal, enhancing the penetration effect of its attack. Meanwhile, the Great Elder Lich's body began to turn red, indicating that it was about to self-destruct.

In less than a second, Dead Virens Cerbery easily destroyed the Great Elder Lich's body due to the vast level difference.

"White Goddess-sama... forgive... this... useless... Great... Elder... Lich..."

The Great Elder Lich's body failed to explode and immediately turned to black ash after being destroyed. This left Catrinna quite puzzled.

"Huh... Why did its body disintegrate so quickly?" Catrinna wondered in confusion.

The Great Elder Lich that Catrinna fought was a creature summoned by Alice, but the summoning was permanent. When a summoned creature is killed, its body instantly turns to ash.

Unlike undead or creatures that are not summoned, their bodies remain intact and do not turn to ash after being killed.

"Great Elder Lich... this undead will be recorded in my notes."

Catrinna then took out a small notebook and recorded details about the Great Elder Lich and some of the skills it had used.

After finishing, Catrinna immediately dismissed her Dead Virens Cerbery, as its task was completed. The Dead Virens Cerbery vanished as if teleported away by magic.

"Time to report to the chief!"

"By the way, the White Goddess makes me curious."

Suddenly, Catrinna felt a shiver down her spine as she recalled the Great Elder Lich's words about the consequences of venturing deeper into the forest.

"For some reason... I feel a little scared."

Catrinna then returned to the Blue Blood Team, who were waiting for her, and reported about the Great Elder Lich and some important information, such as the White Goddess.

"White Goddess??? It's very amusing for an undead to worship someone," said Kelton.

"It seems we don't need to worry about our task this time," said Lisa.

"B-but... I suggest we be more cautious," said Catrinna.

"Let's finish this mission quickly, and we'll get a long vacation, along with the promised benefits," said Connor.

Connor's words motivated the other members, as they had not had a holiday for a long time.

"Let's go!!!"

"But stay cautious. The superiors warned me about the dangers of this forest, although I am not entirely convinced."

"Let's continue our mission," said Kelton.

The Blue Blood Team decided to move on, but as they went deeper, they felt something was off since no creatures were in sight.

Suddenly, a massive creature, standing 4 meters tall, appeared right in front of them.

"YOU... DAMN RATS, HOW DARE YOU ENTER ALICE-SAMA'S TERRITORY!!!!"

"I AM BEHEMOTH, ONE OF THE SEVEN DEMON COMMANDERS, AND I WILL ANNIHILATE YOU!!!!!"

"ROARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!"

Behemoth roared, creating a powerful shockwave with a radius of about 1 kilometer, uprooting all the trees within that radius.

======================

About a day earlier.

[Telepath]

"Behemoth,"

"Alice-sama is calling me??"

"Yes, it's Alice. Boo's report says that a group of humans will enter this forest."

"Does Alice-sama want me to annihilate those humans?"

"Yes, but don't rush. Wait until they go deep enough. I intentionally let them in."

"I won't ask further questions. I understand Alice-sama's orders."

"Good. If I were serious, I could have let Boo and his subordinates intercept the human group, but I want them to enter for certain purposes."

"I understand, Alice-sama."

"Good....."

[Telepath End]

Alice was currently with Exypno near Azulon City. They stood on a hill right next to the city, allowing Alice and Exypno to overlook Azulon City from a height.

"Your plan is excellent, Exypno."

"Thank you, Alice-sama."

"What about the progress on the virtual screens?"

"I have already distributed the items that can project virtual screens at several points in the city, and soon the citizens will be able to see things on those screens."

"Continue."

"Yes, we will use them for propaganda. A strong government needs strong propaganda."

"I like those words."

"On the other hand, sooner or later, we will delve deeper into dealings with the outside world. The arrival of that human group is like fish swimming into a net."

"Hahaha, exactly right. And what about the races conquered during Operation: Azaroth Typhoon?"

"Yes, they have begun to accept their current situation and have pledged their loyalty. Tonight, I will send representatives from each race conquered in Operation: Azaroth Typhoon to meet with Alice-sama."

"Alright."

Alice was smiling broadly now, and her mood was very happy.
