Alice the Evil – [ダークファンタジー異世界]

Chapter 81 (S2) : Beginning of Season 2

Great Castle of Azaroth, Abyssal Forest, Greater Azaroth, December 10th, 756.

Alice is currently in her room, sitting on a chair, preparing to write something on a sheet of paper. It has been almost half a year since Alice was sent to this world, and many things have happened.

"After I was sent to this world, I fought the True Abyssal Dragon Lord, a Mythical Monster with the highest Health Points."

"Fighting that monster was quite challenging, and I was forced to use [World Magic: Hydrogen Explosion] along with several mana-draining metamagic spells."

"Of course, I wasn’t alone, as I had Arina helping to absorb around 80% of the monster's damage, and my White Fox contributing about 20% of the damage to the monster."

"Yes, it almost destroyed this forest, but in the end, I ordered Aether to restore the damage with the help of some high-level magical items, allowing Aether to restore the forest from a distance."

"And I also learned that the condition for summoning a servant is having 1, 10, 100, 1,000 followers, and so on."

"For safety reasons, I decided to summon many creatures using the summoning item owned by the Re: Create guild, which, of course, is in my base."

"Yes, I decided to conquer the goblin race as the first stepping stone and ordered all my subordinates to execute Operation: Azaroth Awakening to conquer the monster races in the north of the Abyssal Forest."

"I also decided to go to Arclens City, which was also affected by my magic, and many interesting things happened there."

"First, I discovered the existence of an underground organization known as the Poxi Cult, and then I found out that Marquess Reinhard was forced to cooperate with the cult because his child was cursed, and the cult promised to heal his child."

"Then, the cult only wanted to use the Marquess's child as a sacrifice, and yes, Marquess Reinhard trusted the cult too much and tried to betray me. I don’t know if he did because he showed me the way to the cult's base in Arclens City."

"In short, I managed to clean up the cult, caused chaos, and became the hero known as the White Hero, oh yes, even though there was a slight disturbance from the Lunarian Goddess, and it felt like I was fighting a player."

"I’ve also committed player killing before, don’t underestimate me, Lunarian Goddess!!"

"Then, after leaving Arclens City, I started spreading my religion there, turning the Marquess's child into a puppet, and I indirectly took control of Arclens City and the entire territory of Marquess Reinhard."

"After that, I ordered the execution of Operation: Azaroth Typhoon, to forcibly unite and subjugate all monster races in the Abyssal Forest to worship me, and I also established Azulon City."

"Then there was a slight disturbance from the Lunarian Theocracy, but I gained a lot of good information, like a flock of sheep walking straight into the tiger's den."

"After that, I founded a nation, Greater Azaroth, and I also met Princess Ivy and Princess Ciel for the first time; they seemed like wolves."

"Hah, I can’t believe it’s been almost six months since I arrived in this world."

Alice just smiled as she reflected on the events she had experienced in this world.

"It's time for me to check on Azulon City."

========================================

Azulon Capital City, Abyssal Forest, Greater Azaroth.

December is the month when this continent reaches its lowest temperature, ranging from 0°C to -20°C. And, of course, it is extremely cold.

Special preparations are required to face winter, and this presents a challenge for Azulon City, which was just built in August and must meet certain targets before winter so that the residents of Azulon City do not freeze.

It is currently snowing heavily, accompanied by a severe snowstorm in Azulon City. Naturally, all the residents are staying inside their homes, while some are in special shelters because parts of the housing are still under construction.

During winter, only undead and mid-level monsters can be outside, while low-level undead-like skeletons will instantly perish due to the extreme temperatures. Although skeletons have immunity to cold, the temperature in this world is different and has a special effect, causing skeletons to die immediately.

However, for Alice, winter does not affect her, as she has absolute immunity to the weather in this world. Even though a heavy snowstorm is raging, Alice remains warm.

"Azulon City, it should be ready by next year."

Not long after, Arina and Exypno appeared and immediately knelt, bowing their heads behind Alice.

"Alice-sama, I am awaiting your instructions or orders for the continuation of Operation: Azaroth Typhoon," said Arina.

Alice suddenly remembered that Operation: Azaroth Typhoon was currently stagnant because the entire force of the operation was surrounding a giant chasm, which is likely the home of the Abyss race. This chasm still has an impenetrable barrier.

"I also received information from the spies at the western border that there has suddenly been an increase in activity there."

Alice's eyes glowed red after hearing Arina's report.

"I order you to transfer 60% of the forces from Operation: Azaroth Typhoon to the western border and ensure they remain undetected by the enemy."

"Understood, Alice-sama," Arina replied before disappearing.

"And what brings you here, Exypno?"

"Yes, I simply wish to report that the progress of Azulon City has reached forty-one percent."

"Oh, that's a good number. Anything else?"

"I’ve been experimenting with your blood, Alice-sama, and I have drawn some conclusions."

"What are they?"

"Not all creatures are compatible with your blood, and their bodies will explode if they cannot accept it. For those compatible with your blood, they will also explode if they overdose."

"I see. Anything else?"

"Oh, Kelton has finally revealed the reason for his reincarnation after spending a few months playing with the monsters."

"Hahaha, this is interesting. I want to hear it."

"He was tasked with killing a monster that is set to awaken in the Abyssal Forest."

"A monster?"

"Yes, Alice-sama."

(Could the monster in question be me? Or the Abyss race? Or the True Abyssal Dragon Lord?)

(It should be the True Abyssal Dragon Lord, as Kelton has been in this world for twenty years.)

"Alright, thank you for your information, Exypno. Keep up the good work."

"With pleasure, Alice-sama."

"Oh, would you like to accompany me?"

"Certainly, since there's a snowstorm, I’d like to take a closer look at Azulon City."

"Understood, Alice-sama."

Alice and Exypno then teleported to the entrance of Azulon City, which was still empty. The plan is to place two giant golems disguised as statues at the entrance, tasked with ensuring medium- and high-level security.

The atmosphere in Azulon City was very quiet, with only undead patrolling. Naturally, all the undead knelt immediately upon seeing Alice.

The first location Alice visited was the residential district. Here, she released a bit of her aura so that all the residents of Azulon would know that Alice was visiting amid the snowstorm

“This housing, it’s quite nice. Did you design it, Exypno?”

“Yes, I used references from Megapolis.”

(If I remember correctly, Megapolis is one of the areas in the Monsterland game, a large city with many modern residential areas.)

“Well done. Have you made sure that this housing doesn’t cause pollution?”

“You don’t need to worry, Alice-sama. Even the water here is very clean. The residents could even drink from the toilet, as it’s still considered very pure.”

(I’m not sure if the water is actually that clean, or if Exypno is just being sarcastic.)

All the residents who sensed Alice’s aura from inside their homes immediately prostrated themselves as Alice passed by, recognizing the aura of the Goddess they had been worshipping all this time.

The atmosphere was truly silent, with only the sound of the snowstorm.

Shortly after, a small girl wearing a thick coat came running toward Alice and Exypno, and then she fell right in front of Alice.

The child was from the rabbit-human race, and of course, she was very cute.

“This disrespectful creature, should I kill her, Alice-sama?”

“No.”

“Understood.”

Alice then knelt, and the little girl, clearly startled by Alice’s presence, was filled with fear. Alice simply smiled gently at the child.

“Please don’t kidnap me!”

“No, no. What’s your name? And why are you outside during a snowstorm?” Alice asked in a soft tone.

“M-my name is Selova! I-I saw a little creature pass by my house, so I chased after it and got lost.”

“Oh, you got lost. Well, next time, don’t leave your house when there’s a snowstorm, okay?”

“Okay! Who are you, big sister?”

“Me? You can ask your mother who I am.”

“Okay, big sister!”

“Exypno, have your subordinates escort this child back to her home.”

“Yes, Alice-sama.”

One of Alice’s weaknesses is her fondness for children. In the sense that Alice would go to great lengths to protect them and would never harm a child.

This is because Alice finds children too adorable to hurt.

In short, some of Exypno’s subordinates arrived and escorted the child back home. Meanwhile, Alice finally arrived at the Temple District, where a statue of herself, stepping on a dragon, stood at the center. Naturally, this referred to Alice’s battle with the True Abyssal Dragon Lord.

“My statue…”

Alice felt a mix of emotions—embarrassment and pride.

Embarrassment because this statue would be seen by many people, and pride because the statue symbolized her greatness.

“What’s the matter, Alice-sama?” Exypno asked, curious.

“It’s nothing. I just wanted to say it’s quite well done.”

“Thank you, Alice-sama. Let’s go inside the temple.”

Alice and Exypno then entered the Great Temple of the White Goddess. The temple was vast, with a large altar at the end of the hall dedicated to worshipping the White Goddess.

(If someone isn’t an atheist, should I call those who worship me 'Alicists'?).
