Am I the Player? Surviving in Terraria as the only existence

Chapter 8: Life continues

I woke up to the sound of water drops.

My head ached and i felt an intense pain on my left leg when i tried to move.

I was currently lying down on the floor inside the cave.

"What...?"

The hard rocks of the floor in which my head was currently resting now were not a comfortable pillow, so i tried to get up.

After some struggle i managed to sit properly by leaning my back to what seemed to be a wall of the cave.

Currently, i was unable to see anything, it was too dark for me to see properly.

I could just use my hand to touch everything around me and know where it could be a proper place to sit.

I moved my left hand to my leg to touch the thing that was making me feel so much pain.

A long object was currently piercing it.

I tried to remember what happened before, and how did i end here.

The village was attacked by goblins.

Everyone was dead, and i was the only one that managed to escape thanks to the old man...

My parents...

My feelings that were being suppressed all that time due to the gravity of the situation exploded

I cried.

I punched the stone walls with all my fury while screaming like a madman.

I clenched my teeth while hitting every thing around me to vent my anger.

The pain my hands felt while punching the rocks just increased the amount of rage i was feeling.

It was just until my fists were all covered in my blood that i felt satisfied.

After calming my anger came the sorrow.

A heavy wave of sadness and depression hit me.

My eyes right now just watched into the air, devoid of any emotion.

I just kept thinking depressing things while staying silent.

It's all my fault.

I should have protected them.

I should have known

Am i really someone special?

Just because i'm the player i let this happen, thinking that everything could be as the game dictated...

...

I was tired.

More tired than ever.

Mentally and physically.

My mind just wanted to shut down again, and continue sleeping.

But i endured it.

...

What should i do now...?

The object that was piercing my leg right now was an arrow that the Goblin archers managed to hit during my escape.

I glanced at my HP.

-Aspen (Aeron) [Infant]

[Human: 99,999%] [Divine being: 0,001%]

Age: 12+(19)

-Status:

[Hp: 125/125] [Mana: 40/40]

Although the place i'm in was too dark, it doesn't seem to affect the visibility of my status panel.

I recovered all my health.

How much time have i been asleep...?

I pulled the arrow out of my leg.

"Urgh...!"

You have suffered 9 damage

Sigh...

What should i do...?

I've got no place to return...

No people to meet anymore...

Not a place to call home.

"Don't disappoint me Aspen."

Those words appeared in my mind.

I wanted to give up...

But i knew i couldn't.

All i did just to escape...

Could be for nothing if i just gave up.

All he did could be for nothing...

At that moment, the name of a certain city appeared in my mind.

"Balroc city..." I murmured.

I stood up, My head became dizzy and i felt the blood flowing out of the wound the arrow left, going down through my leg and reaching the ground

But i quickly recovered.

If i survived, i have to at least stay alive...

Enough crying.

Life continues.

I started touching everything around me, i needed to know where was the exit that i blocked with dirt blocks.

It was a bit hard distinguishing between rocks and dirt, but i managed to do it somehow.

However, the problem now was that i couldn't take back the dirt blocks without a pickaxe.

So it was to hit the dirt blocks with my sword until they crumbled, or to stay inside this cave for the rest of my life.

I chose the first option.

*Clank!*

*Clank!*

*Clank!*

Luckily, the dirt block didn't seem to be indestructible like my wooden sword apparently was, as it was eventually breaking apart.

The wooden sword blocked the chaos balls like they were nothing.

And there wasn't even a scratch in it after that.

So i assume every weapon crafted by the system will be indestructible.

Though there might be some exceptions to that...

*Clank!*

*Clank!*

*Clank!*

I continued hitting it for hours until i managed to break through the dirt blocks.

When the wall of dirt crumbled the rays of light penetrated inside the dark cave, hurting my eyes in the process, thanks to that i couldn't watch my surroundings for a while.

"Ugh, perfect..."

When my eyes got used to the brightness of the day all i could see was nature.

I was inside a dense forest, Pure nature everywhere, tall trees around me that made this beautiful forest into a real maze, and big bushes that seemed to make every thing even messier than it already was.

I was lost.

When i was escaping from the goblins i didn't pay attention to where i was running off...

So i'm pretty much lost inside this forest.

When i looked back inside the cave, all i could see was rocks and stone walls everywhere.

So no pots...

There weren't any of the supposed naturally generated pots that appeared everywhere on the game.

It could probably be the same with underground chests.

But who knows.

Not like i was going to enter a cave.

There were to many dangerous monsters and traps everywhere.

So that's a no, no, for me.

I took out the map and tried to see if i could know where i was right now.

Yeah... no idea

Barloc city was 30 km of distance from The village i lived.

To the north.

Now where the heck is the north...?

I glanced at the sun.

Thanks to the morning dew on the grass below me, i knew the day was just beginning.

"Just how much time did i sleep? It should be at least fifteen hours..."

The sun is currently on the east.

So the north is...

To the left.

It will probably take me five hours to reach the city, that's it if there's no problem midway...

Well, whatever...

I started walking towards the north, i could just hope that i was going in the correct direction.

However, suddenly my thoughts stopped my walking.

The night.

That's right, i needed to arrive there before night, or else i could have to fight demon eyes and zombies.

I doubt i could actually be their match right now, i just had weapons and armor made of wood.

Not to talk about the armed zombies.

I got chills just thinking about them.

And the more time i spend outside at night, the more monsters will notice me and try to kill me...

In the end i will end being surrounded by zombies.

Yeah, i'm not into being zombie's food...

So i started jogging through the forest.

Let's just hope i can arrive there without problems.

You just raised a flag Aeron XD, or should i call him Aspen now?

Mmm, idk, i will see later in the story which name is easier to remember.

And that's it for today, I just hope i'm not making this story boring for you.

Tell me what you think in the comments!

Also, no chapter tomorrow, as i'm visiting my grandpa because of Christmas evening.
