Chapter 68 Bounty hunters are not allowed to enter

Clark Luckfield's ancestors were German, but in Chen Jianqiu's eyes, there was no trace of German ancestry in him.

This man was half lying on a leather chair on a high wooden platform at the end of the barn. He had a beard on the edge of his lips, a fancy leather coat on his body, and a big gold chain hanging around his neck. The other people in the barn don't fit in.

Chen Jianqiu even doubted whether this guy was also a time traveler. After all, this look is too modern.

A cowboy took them to a wooden platform, and a group of people stood in front of Clark.

There was a round iron box on the table in front of him. The box contained half a box of brown chewing tobacco. Clark pinched some tobacco from the box and stuffed it into his mouth. He chewed it while looking at the people trading under the table.

It was afternoon now, and there were not many people trading, but Clark was very satisfied, like a king looking over his kingdom.

The cowboy who came up with Chen Jianqiu coughed deliberately, and Clark finally looked away.

His eyes swept across the faces of the people in front of him one by one.

"Chen Jianqiu, with a reward of 600 US dollars, killed several mounted policemen in the massacre in Denver's Chinatown."

"Bird, the son of Sioux chief Crazy Horse, scalped an American lieutenant."

"Ah, this must be the famous 'Death' Adam Granger. He robbed a bank in New Mexico and killed so many people that he probably filled up the Red River of the South."

"Well, this..."

Clark's eyes swept over and paused on Sean for a second, but he really couldn't remember who this person was, so he skipped it.

The black people felt deeply insulted.

After introducing the resumes of the people in front of him, Clark patted his clothes, changed his position and continued to lie down half-lying, and spit out the chewing tobacco in his mouth into a wooden bucket on the ground.

"Sit down." He pointed to the seat next to him and said to Chen Jianqiu and the others.

Chen Jianqiu glanced at him and sat down on the chair opposite him, while several others stood behind Chen Jianqiu and looked at the people around him warily.

"Were these horses of yours stolen?" Clark touched the beard around his mouth, "My people have been following you since the market."

Chen Jianqiu did not admit or deny it.

Seeing that Chen Jianqiu did not answer, Clark continued:

"I won't ask about the origin of these horses, and I will even pay you twice the price on the market."

This was a very attractive price, but Chen Jianqiu knew that the German guy in front of him must have other plans.

"So, what are the conditions?" he asked.

"I like simple and cheerful people." A smile appeared on Clark's face, and he folded his clothes, "My condition is..."

At this time, the sound of fighting suddenly came from under the stage, and the two big men fought over something unknown.

"Who the hell come here and throw these two people away!" Clark's words were interrupted by the noise of a fight in the audience, and he yelled angrily at his men.

Several cowboys rushed over and knocked the two big men down with sticks. Then they surrounded them and beat them until they stopped moving, and then carried them out.

"What did I just say?" Clark's train of thought was interrupted, and he turned around, looking very angry.

"What are the conditions for me to ask you?" Chen Jianqiu calmly repeated the question he just asked.

"Oh, I want you to help me deal with someone."

……

At the entrance of Larkfield Farm, the two guards who had just let Chen Jianqiu and the others in were chatting boredly.

Not far from them, two people were hiding behind their horses and observing them.

"Boss, what should we do now? They're in." A young man dressed as a groom asked the man next to him.

"We finally found them, how could we give up so easily?" The man touched his upturned beard and said through gritted teeth.

"But there are five of them now. Except for the old man named Holmes who stayed in that market town, the remaining four are here. We might as well catch that old man."

"Donnie, what are you talking about? If you are always so stupid, how can you grow? The old man has no bounty, so why should we catch him?"

The one who spoke was none other than former bounty hunter Hanif. After he and his groom Downey came out of Denver, they had been circling the mountains around Pitkin, but no matter how they searched, they could not find any trace of Chen Jianqiu.

When they were so poor that they were about to lose their pants, they finally saw Chen Jianqiu at the market near Pitkin.

So, they followed all the way here.

"Donny, listen, they can't always be together. As long as we find a chance to catch one of them, such as the Chinese, or the Adam worth more than a thousand dollars, we can avenge our shame and get rich. ." Hanif was full of confidence.

"Look at this farm again. We just need to reveal our identities as bounty hunters and tell them that these people are wanted criminals. They will definitely cooperate with us to catch these bastards."

After that, Hanif straightened his mud-covered clothes and got on the horse.

The two men arrived at the farm gate.

The guarding cowboys also gave them the same treatment. The black muzzles of two rifles were pointed at their heads.

"Hey, take it easy, bro, take it easy."

Hanif raised his hands and slowly approached the guard.

"I didn't mean any harm, I just wanted to go in and find a few people."

"roll!"

"Heard me, brother, I know the four people who just went in."

"roll!"

"If I told you that these people were wanted criminals, you would never do this to me."

"Why, do you have a bounty on your head?" One of the guarding cowboys tilted his head and asked.

Hanif saw that the other party had misunderstood what he meant. He thought of his shameful experience and hurriedly explained:

"No, no, no, I'm not a wanted criminal. That was a misunderstanding. I'm a bounty hunter. I..."

Before Hanif could finish his words, the guns in the hands of the cowboys rang out. Fortunately, he was experienced and had quick eyesight and quick hands. When he saw the cowboys' movements, he jumped sideways to avoid the two shots.

He quickly pulled out the revolver from his waist and shot one down, while his groom and partner Donny shot down the other.

The gunfire alerted other cowboys on the farm, and they rushed out with guns in hand.

Seeing that the situation was not going well, Hanif turned around and mounted his horse, only to see that Downey's horse had already run ahead of him.

The two fled the farm quickly on horseback, and behind them were a group of cowboys riding horses and shooting at them with weapons.

In the barn.

Clark's words were interrupted again, this time by the sound of gunfire outside, and one of his men leaned into his ear and said a few words.

This time the German almost overturned the table.

"How many times have I told you! Don't let bounty! Hunters appear near my farm!"

Chen Jianqiu looked at the furious Clark quietly, while Sean next to him could barely hold back his laughter.

After a while, Clark calmed down his anger. He remembered that Chen Jianqiu was sitting across from him.

He directly threw him a black and white photo without beating around the bush.

"The person I want you to help me deal with is Pitkin's newest sheriff, Danny Romney."
