Chapter 62 Rainy Night at the Club

That afternoon, around six o'clock.

Falcone's Rolls-Royce stopped at the entrance of the Iceberg Club.

Ozwald dragged his injured body and came forward to greet him as usual, and held an umbrella for Falcone attentively.

The rain in Gotham is like the glaciers in Antarctica, which never melts.

Even if Gotham took advantage of the good weather in other nearby areas today and had a barely sunny day, the rain clouds at night could no longer control the rain.

Listening to the dripping sound of rain hitting the umbrella, Falcone looked at Victor Zsasz, who was a little drunk, and asked softly.

"Is the ghost still in the club?"

"Yes, boss!" Victor couldn't help rolling his eyes.

Of course he is still in the club, and he is fucking your girl!

Victor instinctively wanted to complain, but he restrained his thoughts after all, and then nodded slightly tipsy.

"The dead soul has been staying in the club since he returned to Gotham.

As for now, he... uh, he is still resting."

"I know."

Victor's words brought a smile to Falcone, who patted Ozwald's shoulder and continued.

"Gotham may not be the dead soul's past home, but Iceberg and our family have become one of his footholds, which is a good thing.

In order to consolidate the friendship with him, I also brought him a gift, which can be regarded as my appreciation and respect for him.

Take me to minus 44 degrees, I will meet him there, and I hope he will like the surprise I gave him!"

After the voice fell, Falcone waved behind him, and a burly middle-aged man immediately took out a hooded figure from the car.

The man kept sobbing, but he couldn't make a sound because his mouth was blocked. As for the man who took the man out of the car, he just landed on his feet and looked at Ozwald with disdain.

"Penguin, you are always so attentive. Even if you have broken ribs, you insist on holding an umbrella yourself.

But you are a fucking umbrella holder. If the boss doesn't need you to hold an umbrella for him, I don't know what else a short cripple like you can do!"

"Maroni!"

Beside him, Falcone frowned and interrupted Maroni before Ozwald could reply. He continued coldly.

"We are a family, Maroni. I thought that since I have accepted Ozwald, you would treat Ozwald as a family member like my family.

So, are you going to disappoint me?"

"No, no, no, of course not, haha."

Maroni smiled and shook his head at Falcone.

"Boss, even family members have small conflicts. It's hard for a handsome brother and an ugly brother to coexist peacefully.

But don't worry, we both know our limits. If the family is threatened, we will stand side by side, for sure!"

After the words fell, Maroni exaggeratedly put his arms around Ozwald's shoulders, and his huge strength immediately made the penguin tilt left and right.

But the penguin was not dissatisfied at all. He tried to stand firmly in Maroni's arms while talking to Falcone.

"Maroni is right. We have our limits. Even if we do have some conflicts, Maroni is my old boss after all. We have a good understanding, haha!"

After saying that, Ozwald turned around and grinned at Maroni's eyes.

Facing Ozwald's eyes, Maroni stared at him like a lighthouse and looked back unceremoniously.

Looking at the two people confronting each other, Falcone was silent for a moment, then turned around silently and walked straight into the rain.

Seeing this, Maroni pushed Penguin hard, making him barely keep up with Falcone's pace, while Penguin tried his best to keep his pace and the umbrella in his hand steady.

The heavy rain fell on Penguin's face and shoulders along the umbrella, and half of his body was wet in a blink of an eye, but he still didn't notice it.

Under Ozwald's attentive care, Falcone walked into the club.

As Penguin put away his umbrella and shook off the rain, Falcone looked around and greeted the people around him gently and proudly.

"Hello, Mr. Congressman, I'm glad to see that you are still full of energy, which makes me full of confidence in the future of Gotham."

"Have fun, Dr. Jones, inspiration may not only be in books, they can also be in the Pythagorean theorem of women."

"Mr. Cherry, it's rare to see you leave the Star Lab. I hope that the lab's projects this year will go smoothly."

"Oh, Mayor Mitchell, this is not a place to talk. Please wait for me in minus 44 degrees."

After greeting various high-ranking officials, wealthy people and top figures in Gotham, Falcone finally crossed the crowd and sat in his box.

Looking at Selina who served him a drink, he took a breath, and then suddenly raised his hand to grab Selina's wrist!

Falcone's sudden action made Selina quickly withdraw her hand in response to the pressure, and even before withdrawing her hand, she almost left a scratch wound on Falcone!

Looking at Selina's instinctive reaction, Falcone was slightly stunned, and then sighed leisurely.

"I've told you more than once that you shouldn't stay here, Selina!"

He said to Selina in a low voice, but only got Selina's disdainful chuckle.

"Then where should I stay, Mr. Falcone!

I was born in a club and grew up in a club. I even witnessed my mother die at the hands of a damn prostitute in this damn club.

In fact, I was stuffed into the cabinet by my damn mother. Whenever she had business to do, she would always stuff me into that damn cabinet!

She just went about her business in front of me, and in the last period of time before she died, I watched with my own eyes the prostitute's gadgets going in and out of her sexy body, Fake!

This is my damn past, so why can’t this be my future? Just because I am the daughter you don’t acknowledge, so I can’t bear the identity of a bitch and..."

At this point, Selina suddenly stopped what she was saying because the door was being pushed open.

A moment later, Victor Zass walked in silently.

Falcone and Selina both looked at Zas, and their eyes made Zas pause for a moment in discomfort.

"Why are you looking at me like this, boss, and Miss Selina?"

As he asked softly, Victor came behind Falcone. After he chose a position and stood, he continued to speak to Falcone.

"By the way, boss, Maroni may not have the patience to wait for Downton to come over, so I asked Ozwald to help keep an eye on our director, haha."

"Yes, he has always been so impatient, especially in recent years. He is not even willing to perform even a slightly professional performance in front of me."

Falcone closed his eyes and muttered, then stretched out his right hand to Victor.

After a while, the cigar was held in Falcone's hand, and Victor took out a lighter and lit the cigar.

Falcone took a deep breath of smoke and tasted it for a long time before spitting it out.

In this curl of smoke, he suddenly showed a self-deprecating smile, and then said to Selina, whose chest was still rising slightly.

"Selina, can you do me a favor and see what Downton is doing.

If possible, I hope you can tell him that there is an old man like me waiting to see him. "

"I understand, Lord Falcone, I will try my best to convey it to you!"

Selina responded solemnly, then left Falcone's private room and walked all the way towards Downton's lounge.
