Another World Gacha

At night in Nicholas' chamber

Earlier in the afternoon, his team went to the kobold dungeon as planned and went home after that to rest. The run this time was more tiring since they expended a lot more stamina than the previous day. Their time to clear, however, was a bit faster than their first day. They still haven't leveled up to level 2, but they will surely be leveling up tomorrow at their current exploration rate.

Currently, Nicholas is on the floor of his room, looking at the transparent panel of his system. Nicholas decided that tonight he would use the Gacha system, since what's the point of hoarding and not using the advantage of your system.

It was definitely not because he gave in to his gambling tendencies. In total, with him doing his daily missions and some occasional side quests that pop up every now and then, he has already accumulated a whopping 15,000 wishes over a decade.

A light notification sounded in my head, and the text of rewards appeared on the panel in his sight.

All night Nicholas was aggressively pressing the button while playing Gacha; his looks had a hint of greed looking at the rewards coming to his side. He had been accumulating a lot of wishes over the past several years, so consuming them gave him a lot of satisfaction.

It was his night to indulge in his accumulated wishes. It took some time to check the rewards individually.

Nicholas: "This is interesting." he commented after summarizing what he got from the Gacha draws.

He took a look at each of the rewards, most of the rewards he was familiar with were typical weapons, skill tomes, and even coins.

What caught his eye were the summoning cards. According to the description, it allows him to summon the monster indicated in the card using mana.

This card can be used to summon monsters as long as he has mana; however, the mana cost is quite excessive. He got four monster cards: Goblin, Murloc, Skeletons, and Trolls.

He planned to try to summon as a trial; however, when he saw the mana cost to create a single goblin, he was averse to doing it.

Nicholas: "This felt like a scam—that much mana to summon a single goblin."

The most summoned monsters felt lackluster to him in an immediate power increase, he can summon an army of goblins and even a troll if he just bids his time. He pondered whether creating this monster slowly in a nearby forest would be beneficial to him.

In the west of Curtana is a vast forest called "Monster Den". Actually, almost all city with a nearby forest calls them a Monster Den, it is teeming with low-level fluctuated dungeons, and clearing them is a hassle not worth the rewards, except for low-level adventurers and mercenaries who actively hunt in the forest to get more resources. Others just let the dungeon break and deal with the low-level monsters immediately rather than traversing the dungeon for hours. Therefore, having some low-level monsters lurking inside the forest is quite common and serves as training for some adventurers.

But after careful consideration, Nicholas believed that going for a trip to the Monster Den would be quite suspicious and tiring since it takes an hour back and forth. Overall, he won't be achieving much, but he can summon 20 low-level monsters in an hour.

Some might be hunted, which will be quite a waste of time. He would rather focus on leveling up with his team. Taking these cards in the back of his mind since they would not be that important for the current him, he carefully examined his other rewards.

Looking at the Gacha rewards on the panel, Nicholas felt extremely happy to see the fruits of his patient accumulation over the years.

At his current power level, he is considered to be at his peak knight level. He was elated; it was only a few weeks after he was awakened. But his strength has exponentially increased due to his system. Looking at his bright future ahead, he hopes that his plans will go smoothly.

He also reminded himself that his strength might be far past that of his peers; however, in this world of power, there are still plenty of people stronger than him. Dousing cold water on his excitement. He continued to check for his rewards.

Nicholas: "Elemental Cores and Beast Materials, what was this for again?"

He asked himself.

Then he remembered that it was for promoting to the next stage. It was for later, so he didn't dive deep into it and proceeded to check the other rewards.

Apart from Amulet, he put everything in his storage pendant. He held the amulet to scan the effects of the items he received.

Nicholas: "Woah, with this item, I can freely change my identity."

Nicholas thought that this would greatly help him in his future endeavors. Which will grant him more freedom to move around without exposing his identity.

Upon settling everything, he went to relax on his bed and sleep.

The next day, Nicholas and his team repeated their routine for the week. Training their skills and coordination in the morning, working hard to level up and clear time on the current dungeon.

And going out in town after their training at noon, Maria and Clarice dragged Nicholas to a new shop that opened. Rumors have it that the chef in charge of cooking in the shop came all the way from the Stalwart Empire since the food served by the establishment is rarely seen in the Daedric Empire.

Arriving at the shop, Nicholas saw fancy decorations, and the ambience in the area was very elegant. It was an establishment that catered to nobles and rich people. Since they were not wearing proper attire and were a bit sweaty since they just finished practicing,.

Nicholas sighed. He talked to the girls, who were quite eager to eat in this establishment. After a bit of talking, he managed to convince the girls to eat at a late date.

It was partially their fault for not checking if there was a dress code, and the main chef was only serving during dinner service. He promised to take them there on the weekend. They can wear formal attire and book a reservation in a nice spot in the establishment, and with that, they can fully enjoy what the establishment has to offer.

Nicholas then led them to a nice establishment with a casual atmosphere. They had their lunch there. But after the meal, the girls were still feeling a bit sullen, so Nicholas gave them a gift. It was one of the rare weapons he received from the system.

Maria received a tome that has the ability to specifically buff wind element attacks for a few minutes. Clarice received a gladius, which increases the agility of the owner, and when successfully parrying and attaching, it grants a temporary strength boost.

The girl was elated to receive weapons only obtained in high-level dungeons. Weapons and skill tomes or books, when dropped from dungeons or made, have certain rarities. From Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Unique, Legendary and more according to crafting books.

After eating and resting, Nicholas' team receiving new weapons was eager to test them out in the dungeon. 

It was quite a tiring week, so Nicholas decided to have an additional rest day per week. The two girls agreed since rest is necessary to recover their strength. They also want to have fun rather than fighting and training all week. So, they decided to rest on the first day and have fun on the second day. Agreeing on the time when they meet up in the city center, they continue to clear the dungeon for the day.
