Astral Flower

23. Games

Nan Hua entered the virtual world again.

She looked at the screen in front of her and then muttered, “Menu.”

<Menu>

<Travel/location>

<Inventory>

<Options>

<Settings>

<Account>

She picked the first option and looked at the few locations that was presented there. There were many places in the Virtual World and one of them was called “Game Haven.”

It was a special dedicated place for them to play.

In this area, their connection would be protected and the sensory senses would be adjusted to be lower than 50%. Because there were some games that involved killing and in order to protect the users, they reduced the experience and pain that they would feel.

Even though so, dying in the game could still affect their consciousness. So the rigorous games in the Virtual World could only be played by people who had strong mental strength. The others had to go to other games or used other means to play games.

There were still many other medias used to play games.

But of course, the Virtual World could be said to be the best.

Swish!

Nan Hua disappeared from her place and looked around her. The holographic images in this area was not as good as the other areas. However, there were a lot of people rushing to different places to play different games.

She entered the number of Nan Hua’s younger brother and waited until Nan Xian Mu accepted.

“Sister, where are you?”

“Game Haven… main square?” Nan Hua looked at the board and replied. Her eyes were scanning her surrounding and committed to memory instinctively.

“I’m coming!”

Nan Xian Mu was not far from the main square and he grinned happily when he saw Nan Hua there. He waved his hand. “Sister.”

In the Virtual World, Nan Xian Mu looked similar to his appearance in the real world. The difference was in his clothing because he was wearing a long robe. It looked like he was in the ancient time rather than in their current world.

Looking at Nan Xian Mu’s dress, Nan Hua guessed that Nan Xian Mu liked this kind of dress and purposely dressed up.

Nan Hua nodded. “Where are we going?”

“To the MMORPG area. You can dress up beautifully there and play with the others. Oh wait, I’ll also call Nan Xian Tang to come.” Nan Xian Mu pulled Nan Hua’s wrist.

Nan Xian Tang, Nan Hua’s cousin and also Nan Xian Xie’s twin brother.

Nan Xian Tang and Nan Xian Xie were not close to each other and it was said that Nan Xian Tang spent his time in the dormitory all the time. Besides, he also entered the military academy and also in the same class as Nan Hua.

The fake Nan Hua and Nan Xian Tang had interacted a few times before. However, their interaction never ended well because the fake Nan Hua couldn’t catch up with Nan Xian Tang’s mind.

They got along respectfully.

But never actually got close.

Not to mention, the fake Nan Hua was busy to make up her lessons and basically had no time to care about Nan Xian Tang.

“Xian Tang! Over here!”

Nan Hua raised her head and saw Nan Xian Tang who was waiting at the side. Nan Xian Tang was not a noisy person like Nan Xian Mu and was more similar to Nan Hua. However, he was relatively more ordinary compared to the talented other children around him.

“Xian Mu, Nan Hua.” Nan Xian Tang looked at the two of them and nodded politely.

“Now that you’re here, let’s all go to <Flower Garden Tale>. It’s the best MMORPG in the Virtual World and also very similar to the reality.” Nan Xian Mu pointed at the door on the side.

The Game Haven could be said to be the transmission gate to various games. They only needed to follow the board to find the games they were looking for.

<Flower Garden Tale> was famous since last year and had been played by almost everyone in the universe. It was an open game world with various storyline and their birth location could be picked depending on where they came from.

After that, they were free to influence the storyline or to play around in accordance to their wishes.

It was all up to them.

“Okay.” Nan Hua had heard of this game but never played it before, so she simply agreed.

Nan Xian Tang also nodded noncommittally.

He didn’t really care where they play.

For him, as long as it was fun, let’s play.
