Beastman Forcefully Raising a Wife

Chapter 43: Recuperate

The wind at the waist of the mountain was particularly strong, and mingling with the heavy droplets of rain, it fiercely washed away everything in the mountain forest.

The fierce wind with the rain blew into the cavern, producing the whistling sound of rain and harmonising with the monotonous sound of raindrops. The abundant rain was also brought into the cavern entrance, wetting a piece of rocky and slightly muddy land.

Shu Jintian hugged Shu Hanyu’s ice-cold head and placed him on his lap, happily saying, “You’re finally awake. Did you know that you’ve already slept for three days and three nights? You didn’t react at all, and you were like a dead… Cough, you’re finally awake.”

Shu Hanyu pressed close against the female’s warm body, rubbing against him longingly. Shu Hanyu’s heart would be overflowing as long as he looked at his mate.

Tiantian was his! No one can even delude themself into wanting a share.

Seeing Shu Hanyu wake up, his unease finally relaxed. Shu Jintian’s mood calmed down somewhat, and he began inspecting Shu Hanyu’s injury. He saw that the injuries riddling his body already had tender green flesh growing over it, and the skin surrounding the injuries had begun to scab.

Shu Jintian had previously been too worried about Shu Hanyu and did not perceive such strangeness. Now that Shu Hanyu woke up, he also relaxed before he realised with a start that Shu Hanyu had almost completely recovered.

Such recovery speed was simply astonishing. If it weren’t because Shu Jintian had been staying by Shu Hanyu’s side, he wouldn’t have believed that his injuries were from three days ago. Seeing the big snake appearing close to death, Shu Jintian even thought he would have to support him for a very long time, and had even planned to support their family for this period of time. But why was Shu Hanyu unconscious then?

Shu Jintian was somewhat puzzled, but it was drowned out by his sheer delight and joy, so he didn’t look further into it.

Shu Jintian held Shu Hanyu in his embrace, looking at his gleaming green irises as he softly said, “Hanyu, how are you feeling? Any better? You’ve only eaten a few eggs these days; you must be very hungry!”

Shu Jintian had thought of feeding the dead prey to Shu Hanyu, but it had already been left there for most of the day; who knew whether it was spoiled. Moreover, it wasn’t convenient to feed him with solid meat; after all, the big snake was unconscious.

Thinking of feeding him meat, Shu Jintian couldn’t help but recall that horrible memory of when he was force fed food, and instinctually eliminated such a method. Due to the combination of various reasons, Shu Jintian gave up on the idea of feeding Shu Hanyu the dead beast.

The uneaten prey was thus dumped down the mountainside.

Shu Hanyu pressed against the female’s chest and shook his head. Those eggs were such a pity. They were supposed to be for the female, but they had now all gone into his stomach. And if they wanted to get more eggs, they could only wait until winter had passed.

“No, you’ve lost too much blood. You have to eat more to supplement the blood loss. I’ll go hunting.”

With that, Shu Jintian was about to let Shu Hanyu go. However, his embrace suddenly grew heavy. Shu Jintian lowered his head and saw Shu Hanyu looking at him with an unexplainable gaze. His mouth opened slightly, and hissed as he spat out his scarlet forked tongue.

Shu Jintian knew that Shu Hanyu looked down on his fighting abilities a lot, and he felt choked up in his heart for some reason.

Everyone wanted to be perfect in their lover’s eyes. As a man, they even wished that they were a powerful existence in their lover’s mind. At the very least, they couldn’t appear like weaklings.

Shu Jintian, on the contrary, didn’t think so far, and only felt stifled in his heart. Shu Jintian patiently comforted him, “Don’t worry, I’ll be careful. I’ll be back very soon.”

Good, Shu Hanyu’s injuries didn’t reopen.

The familiar twisting was attached to his body again. Shu Jintian was a little distracted; after having not been wrapped around by Shu Hanyu for a while, he surprisingly missed it.

Shu Hanyu spat out his forked tongue and lazily buried his head against the female’s neck. He half-closed his transparent lids and began dozing off.

“Do you not want to eat?” Shu Jintian pushed Shu Hanyu’s heavy body, but Shu Hanyu slowly closed his eyes, refusing to pay attention to him.

Shu Jintian sighed helplessly and turned his body, lying on his side as he looked at the big snake, then pulled him into his embrace.

The moist wind poured into the cavern; Shu Jintian felt rather cold, and lifted the animal hide blankets with one leg and covered his body.

Shu Hanyu uncoiled his snake body that Shu Jintian had helped him pile up. The not very big animal hide left half his body outside the blankets.

Shu Jintian felt cold, and assumed that, by human standards, Shu Hanyu was cold as well. So Shu Jintian raised the blanket with his leg, wanting to cover the snake tail still outside.

Helplessly, Shu Hanyu was spread too wide, and a blanket with a small surface area simply could not completely cover Shu Hanyu’s whole body. Shu Jintian hooked his leg around Shu Hanyu’s tail, wanting to drag him in. but with a sweep of Shu Hanyu’s powerful tail, it clamped around even the blankets.

“Ai! Hanyu, you’re not asleep, right? Come in, then.” Shu Jintian pushed Shu Hanyu.

Shu Hanyu still didn’t move, deep asleep.

Shu Jintian: “…”

The snake tail was a little heavy when pressing down on his legs. Shu Jintian fidgeted but still couldn’t take it out. He looked at Shu Hanyu and saw that his eyes were already closed, blurring his irises mired with vein lines, like being covered by a layer of frosted glass.

Shu Hanyu did not move at all, and only his cool breath would occasionally strike Shu Jintian’s neck, allowing Shu Jintian to perceive signs that he was still living.

Fine, it just so happened that he was tired too, so let’s just sleep together! Shu Jintian found a comfortable position, then held Shu Hanyu as he closed his eyes. Shu Jintian, who was induced by sleepiness, did not realise that he had just woken up not long ago…

Shu Hanyu slept for another two days before he opened his eyes, stretching in satisfaction.

During these two days, the rain was still ongoing. After so many days of strong downpour, the temperature grew lower. It was cold even during the day. Shu Jintian had to put on his jacket whenever he came out of their bedding.

Shu Jintian had wanted to go out and look for food for Shu Hanyu a few times, but was discovered almost immediately by Shu Hanyu, who would lock him tight and stop him from leaving. Shu Jintian had even tried to sneakily slip away, but it was as if Shu Hanyu was constantly on guard against him. Before he had even left the cave, the snake tail would suddenly stop him, frightening him witless.

After two days, the injuries on Shu Hanyu’s body had completely healed. His dark-green skin was smooth and glossy, his exquisite scales glinting with cold light; there was no trace of damage among the perfection.

Shu Hanyu stretched his body and moved about, then turned into his human form. He crawled onto the pile of animal hide, then slowly spread his body.

Seeing Shu Hanyu finally able to turn into a human, Shu Jintian happily leapt over, pressing down on his body.

“Hanyu, you’re finally okay?” Shu Jintian touched Shu Hanyu’s skin and clicked his tongue in wonder. “Tsk~ How could your skin be so good ah, there’s not a single scar.”

Shu Jintian spoke not without envy and admiration. It had been so long since the big birds had injured his back and arms, but the circular scars on his arms were still very obvious. He couldn’t see his back, but he would occasionally touch it when showering and could feel scars.

Although he didn’t really care whether there were any scars on him, Shu Hanyu’s recovery was too great! Shu Jintian couldn’t help turning green with envy.

“So hungry! I’ll go look for food, Tiantian has to be good at home.” It had been a long time since Shu Hanyu spoke, and his voice was rather husky. It didn’t sound unpleasant, and instead was somewhat magnetic.

Shu Jintian’s lips quirked. Every time Shu Hanyu called him to ‘be good’, he would feel strange all over.

Shu Jintian did not wait for Shu Hanyu to finish his words and hurried to interrupt, afraid he would say even more nauseating words.

“Mn mn, you hurry up and go ba. You didn’t really eat much for so many days, so you have to catch a big one to make up for it as much as possible.”

The corners of Shu Hanyu’s lips raised slightly and he hummed in assent but did not leave, instead looking at the pile of vines.

Shu Jintian followed Shu Hanyu’s gaze and looked over, and saw that Shu Hanyu was looking at vines. He wanted to tie him up again ba!

Shu Jintian became in a bad mood, but still restrained his anger, nicely saying, “Don’t worry ba, I won’t leave. Without you, who will protect me? You can just go with ease ba!”

As Shu Jintian spoke, he recalled Shu Hanyu getting injured. Shu Hanyu had previously been in his snake form, and he wouldn’t have been able to answer even if Shu Jintian asked. Now it had been a while, and he had nearly forgotten about it.

“That’s right, why did you go out that day? We still have food at home. And you even came home injured.” Shu Jintian looked at Shu Hanyu suspiciously, feeling very curious about what happened to Shu Hanyu. Could it be that his territory had been invaded by some other powerful wild beast? So the big snake went to repel the invaders?

Shu Hanyu’s eyes suddenly grew cold and he hugged Shu Jintian tight, coldly saying, “You’re mine. Whoever dares to want you, I’ll bite them to death!”

Shu Jintian’s eyes immediately widened. “You went to look for the beastman?”

Recalling that person, the bad experiences began to rush into his mind like poisonous insects. Shu Jintian’s head ached faintly, and his face was immediately drained of blood.

“Then, what happened?” Shu Jintian’s voice had turned cold, hatred flashing in his eyes, but his voice trembled when he spoke as if someone had touched upon the most taboo and frightened of place.

“Chased away.” Shu Hanyu sensed the female’s fear and softened his face, hugging the female in distress and gently patting his back.

“Don’t be scared Tiantian, I’m here.”

Shu Jintian was startled, raising his head to look at Shu Hanyu.

“He came back? That’s why you wouldn’t stay a single step away from me during the past few days?”

“En!” Shu Hanyu quietly responded, gently brushing away the female’s hair that had covered his eyes slightly before he comforted, “Don’t be scared Tiantian, he can’t beat me. If he dares come again, I’ll definitely bite him to death.”

Hearing this, Shu Jintian’s nose soured and he hugged Shu Hanyu’s waist, burying his face against Shu Hanyu’s chest before he spoke with a muffled tone, “No need. It’s fine as long as you’re not hurt! Don’t go looking for fights for my sake anymore. We only have to be healthy and pass our days well.”

Shu Hanyu was suddenly stunned, losing his voice. He lowered his head to look at the female in his embrace, his jade green irises flickering with an intense joy that was densely repressed in his eyes, deep in an unfathomable cold pool.

The female said, we only have to be healthy and pass our days well. Did that mean… he had completely accepted him?

Shu Hanyu’s heartbeat couldn’t help quickening and he hugged the female tight like a treasure.

Losing his control, Shu Hanyu’s strength was frighteningly great. Shu Jintian was squeezed until he couldn’t breathe, and he struggled lightly.

“Hey! Be gentler ah… Mn!” Shu Jintian raised his head, but before he could finish speaking, Shu Hanyu’s face instantly pressed close to his. Shu Jintian only felt his sight darken, and he was fiercely kissed in the next second.

Shu Jintian’s heart skipped a beat, his face a little hot. Too sudden! Didn’t the big snake want to go out?

The nimble and strong forked tongue pressed between Shu Jintian’s lips, frantically sweeping over and trying to pry open his teeth and dig inside.

Shu Jintian’s head was instantly filled with blood, even his consciousness growing somewhat faint. He falteringly unlocked his jaw, and Shu Hanyu fiercely charged into his mouth in the next second, seizing complete authority and tyrannically sweeping through.

Wu~” Shu Jintian cooperatively tilted his head, subconsciously whimpering as he swallowed the liquid that Shu Hanyu’s forked tongue introduced into his mouth.

Shu Hanyu’s kiss this time was too frantic, causing Shu Jintian’s legs to soften. Fortunately, Shu Hanyu was still embracing him tight and Shu Jintian did not fall on the floor with his weakened legs.

The rain fell crashingly and formed nature’s most natural music notes, resonating into every corner of the valley. The moist wind blew into the cavern, raising a tall man’s dark-green hair draping over his shoulders and gently stroking the cheeks of the female with a blurred gaze in the man’s embrace. The aesthetics were just like a painting.
