Beastman Forcefully Raising a Wife

Chapter 86

The next day when Shu Jintian woke up, he felt like his body was no longer his own. With a hand pressed against his lower back, the aches in his muscles grew even more prominent. Shu Jintian’s good-looking face was a little twisted.

“Tiantian.” Shu Hanyu was reclining with his hand supporting his head, looking at Shu Jintian’s sleeping face. Seeing him wake up, he came closer to greet him.

“Morning~ Oh right!” Shu Jintian rubbed his lower back and replied lazily when he suddenly recalled yesterday’s matters. He shot up, but then fell back down before he fully sat up due to his aching waist and was pulled into Shu Hanyu’s arms.

“Ss~ Hanyu, when will we go to the place you mentioned?”

“Whatever time is fine, but it’s rather far, so you’ll have to suffer again,” Shu Hanyu said in distress.

“I’m fine. Then how about we go after the rice is ripe? It’ll probably be done after two to three days. If we’re going to stay there permanently, we should plant rice there. Who knows if there is rice there? But there will definitely be lots of food we’ve never had!” Shu Jintian was lost in his beautiful fantasy and even his body’s discomfort practically disappeared.

“Alright, as long as we don’t delay for too long. If the weather gets cold then we won’t have time to prepare new animal hides for you.” Shu Hanyu had been living with Shu Jintian for almost a year. Now with experience, he began planning ahead.

They couldn’t take along all of these skins, so he could only prepare new animal hides for Tiantian when they reached the tribe. He would have to rush to prepare; animals would be less plentiful during the deep winter.

“Mn.” Shu Jintian nodded happily.

Getting out of bed, Shu Jintian then realised that the baby had actually slept in bed. His body was wrapped up in the blanket with only a fat little foot exposed.

Whereas Guoguo was sleeping on top of the bed, his dark green tail naturally hanging down the side unmoving. He appeared still asleep.

Shu Jintian’s face burst into bright red.

Goodness ah! What did they see last night? Shu Jintian’s entire being became unwell.

No good, in the future they had to sleep in separate rooms, absolutely!

Shu Jintian picked Xiao Shu Ye in distress. Fortunately, his body was still warm; he probably didn’t get cold.

Shu Ye shifted in Shu Jintian’s arms, opening his eyes sleepily. His nose sniffed and then he shifted his head to find the source of the food. With his eyes shut, he sucked on the nipple and gulped down audibly.

Shu Jintian: “…”

If they were to move to a place with people, they couldn’t be naked in front of other people ba!

After he finished with the clothes, Shu Jintian began preparing luggage for moving. For condiments like salt and Sichuan peppers, they were packed into jars of different sizes depending on their importance and packed together in the net-shaped bag made of vines. Only four flints were brought along and they were placed into the condiments bundle as well.

He chose the two animal hide cloaks with the best fur, as well as the night pearl, dagger, and various thin clothes. These things were placed in a large hemp bag.

Shu Jintian picked out the most intact grains among the newly collected rice and packed about three to four kilogrammes with an animal hide bag. Shu Jintian planned to plant these grains. Seeing how the grains at the cave entrance sprouted even without anyone taking care of them, it probably wasn’t hard to plant.

Five days later, the entire family were ready and waiting.

The remaining things at home were tidied up and covered by the animal hide from the taken apart bed.

Shu Hanyu turned into his snake form and wrapped around Shu Jintian. A large wrapped bundle was wrapped around the front and back of Shu Jintian’s chest. On top of the bag in front of him squatted Xiao Shu Ye, while Guoguo was responsible for keeping up with his fathers.

This forest was called Miwu Forest; it was vast and boundless. If one looked down from above, this forest was like an endless ocean. The high, low, dark and faint green layers were clear-cut but also interwoven. They rippled grandly like sea waves, the end unable to be seen at a glance and was very vast.

The layer of piled-up dried branches and decaying leaves on the ground also became increasingly thick. The air was filled with the scent of rotting plants, traces of light mist drifting in the forest. It was gloomy, and the sunlight seemed unable to penetrate through.

The drifting mist of the forest concealed various dangerous creatures, but occasionally some sort of sound would ring out; it would be either a sharp screech or a strange, noisy and bloodthirsty cry. Shu Jintian’s hair prickled when hearing it, and a chill ran down his spine.

There would often be large butterflies that were so beautiful they were grotesque, lithely fluttering about before them. Some would be in groups, and some were flying alone, leaving behind hints of a strange fragrance.

Shu Hanyu would always evade these butterflies and throw them off behind them.

The deeper they forged on, the denser the fog became, so much that it practically solidified. Shu Jintian also became more and more oppressed, his breathing starting to grow unsteady, and he instinctively felt that this place was dangerous.

Shu Hanyu turned into his human form to comfort him, saying that this was near the heart of the forest. The deeper in they go, the denser the mist. This place was still light, and with his strength, he could protect them so that the three of them wouldn’t be in danger.

Shu Jintian hugged Xiao Shu Ye tight. It turned out that this world was this dangerous. If he were alone here… it truly was a terrifying thought.

Although Shu Hanyu said this, he still detoured around the deepest part of the forest, avoiding the most terrible centre section of Miwu Forest. After all, he wasn’t alone now; not only did he have Tiantian, he also had two children he had to protect, and he couldn’t casually take risks.

Because of this, they travelled a long distance for an additional ten days.

The so-called happiness lies in misfortune, and misfortune lies in happiness. During the detour, Shu Jintian found several good things. Near the depths of the forest were several decaying logs, and many of them had strange but extremely bright-coloured, gorgeous, and plump fungus growing all over.

Shu Jintian didn’t recognise many mushrooms, but he still could recognise shiitakes. Shu Jintian thus seized the opportunity and chose to pig out on a meal of fresh shiitakes every time they passed by places with them, then used a jar to gather some spores under the shiitakes’ cap, mixing with some of the rotten wood bits growing the mushrooms to use as seeds in preparation to plant them at their new home.

Shu Jintian also didn’t know whether he would be successful and thus blindly tested it like this.

There were also some drylands with wild celeries and a few vegetables with tenacious vitality. But Shu Jintian didn’t know where the seeds were and didn’t pack them up to take along, and only ate some as a taste every time they bumped into some.

Just like this, they travelled through the forest for over thirty days. The forest’s ground finally wasn’t that moist, soft and thick, gradually clearing up. The trees grew sparse and a lot of intense sunlight shone through, and the forest became a lot brighter.

Shu Hanyu found a water source and stopped there, turning into his human form.

“We’re almost there. This tribe is the closest to us, so let’s go try it ba. If it doesn’t work, then we’ll go somewhere else.” Shu Hanyu hugged the somewhat exhausted Shu Jintian in distress, kneading his belly that had become solid again and saying worriedly, “Is Tiantian tired?”

“How can I be as tired as you? To protect me by my side, you haven’t eaten much in over ten days. Hurry up and find something to eat. How could those small things Guoguo find be able to fill you?” Shu Jintian said with heartache. He felt very guilty; it was him who burdened Shu Hanyu.

“No, I can’t be at ease about you. It’s better to wait until we settle down before I eat ba!” Shu Hanyu said uncaringly.

Shu Jintian was touched. “Guoguo is already so big; he can protect me ah. Moreover, you already said we’re almost there. If there are many beastman here, there probably won’t be very dangerous beings ba!”

“No, it’s precisely here that I have to be even more careful. What if you get snatched away by them?” Shu Hanyu said, then turned to look at Guoguo.

“Guoguo, go find some food. Don’t go too far.”

“Ssss~” Guoguo immediately replied to male father. Then, as if carrying an important task, twisted his body and swiftly crawled off. Through over thirty days of training, Guoguo’s body became a lot more robust, and his hunting also became even more skilled.

Ai, Guoguo!” Shu Jintian shouted. Seeing Guoguo grow further away, he sighed helplessly.

“Hanyu… Why can’t you be a little selfish? You make me feel really distressed like this.”

Hearing this, Shu Hanyu smiled. “It’s fine as long as you don’t leave me. I’m okay with anything.”

Shu Jintian’s heartstrings trembled and he looked at Shu Hanyu lovingly. Just as he was about to say something, there was a sudden suckling sensation on his chest. Shu Jintian’s words were choked back and he couldn’t help stiffening.

Shu Jintian’s clothes were bulging heavily. Inside, Xiao Shu Ye was sucking noisily, and there even seemed to be an indistinct smell of milk drifting in the air.

Even though he could already eat meat, he still had some reliance on and reluctance to part with milk. If Shu Jintian were to heartlessly refuse to give it to him, he would aggrievedly wail, refusing to eat even meat. Every day, Shu Jintian would lose to this move.

Now Shu Jintian had already admitted defeat and placed all his hope on no longer producing milk; that way, Xiao Ye would be helpless ba. Now, his milk wasn’t as abundant as the start, and Shu Jintian seemed able to see the dawn of hope. ╭(╯^╰)╮

Guoguo soon brought back a stray dog-sized prey that had large tusks. This wasn’t the largest prey he had caught, but he chose the hardest to catch.

Guoguo was this rushed because he wanted to bring back food sooner. The long period of rushing already gave him a sense of urgency. Everything he did was swift and decisive, like a little adult. It made Shu Jintian feel both proud and distressed.

Shu Jintian cut off a leg with his dagger, and then separated the remaining meat into a large and small piece, passing them over to Shu Hanyu and Guoguo. As for Xiao Shu Ye, Shu Jintian gave him an evil look.

Since he already ate, no need to waste any more food.

As such, Xiao Shu Ye watched impatiently, unable to resist swallowing when watching his big brother eat. He then looked at Shu Jintian, saying in a wronged tone, “Baba~~”

What about Yeye’s?

Shu Jintian skewered the meat and put it on the roast, giving Shu Ye a kind smile.

“There’s no more. Xiao Ye can eat next time ba!”

“Huh?” Xiao Ye looked everywhere. Sure enough, there was no more meat and only a bloodied floor remaining, emitting a fragrant smell.

Shu Ye swallowed a mouthful of saliva, shifting his gaze away that was glued to the bloody floor.

“Mn!” Shu Ye obediently replied.

“Xiao Ye is so obedient~ Remember not to choose to drink milk next time ah, that way you’ll have meat.” Shu Jintian appeared as if being considerate for the baby, smiling especially deviously benevolently.

“Ah ah~~” Xiao Shu Ye raised his head to look at Shu Jintian, blinking.

Shu Jintian answered with a smile, then turned the roasted meat in his hands.

Guoguo and Shu Hanyu were used to getting sleepy after eating and were dozing off under the sun.

Shu Ye’s beautiful and large light-coloured eyes shifted and he suddenly tugged female father’s shirt, accurately and fiercely biting female father’s nipple and suckling with zeze sounds. Then couldn’t he just continue drinking milk? Female father really is silly!

Shu Jintian hastily pulled down his clothes in a fright, covering Shu Ye’s head under his shirt.

This little brat, his movements are getting increasingly nimble.

Before going to the tribe, he must feed him to the brim first, and then bundle his clothes up tightly.

After finishing their meal, the sky had dimmed. Shu Hanyu said that the tribe was before the woods and they would arrive in less than half a day. As such, they took a break for the night by the river.
