Campfire Shelter

Chapter 5: Unknown early life, covered in red hair

An indescribable and subtle sense of satisfaction emerged in Colin's heart.

The hunger in the stomach was soothed for a moment.

Power surges through the body.

Although the symptoms of "lycanthropy" were deepening, surprisingly, the violent temper in his heart actually stopped temporarily.

Not because of some suppression, but because it itself gradually calms down due to satisfaction.

Colin took a deep breath and tried to calm his mind as much as possible to avoid irritating this thing.

"Mom. I'm hungry."

"I'm going to find something to eat. Just wait here. Mom will be back soon."

"Well, can I go too? It's very dark here and I'm afraid."

"no."

There were intermittent voices in his mind. Colin was startled at first, and then realized that this might be the remnants of the mother's obsession.

After comforting the hungry children, she went out alone to pray for food.

From this point forward, my memory began to become obviously fragmented.

"Mom picked up a piece of bread and brought it back to you right away."

"I'm sorry, mom is back late. I've been hungry for a long time. This is your favorite bun. Come and eat it."

"Don't be afraid. Eat quickly. Eat enough. Grow up quickly."

"That way you won't be afraid of the dark. Mom will always be here and won't cry."

From her inner perspective, Colin understood what she saw of herself - a hungry and scared child nestled in a dark corner, and also understood the meaning of the brief hoarse voice she kept repeating at the end.

"Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry."

"Don't cry. Don't cry"

The strong yet gentle voice cut through the madness and chaos, ringing in his mind. Colin listened silently, as if he was comforted, and squatted quietly on the ground, drawing blood through his fingertips.

He couldn't tell what kind of emotion he was feeling now, but it probably wasn't the same impatience he had before.

After nearly three hours, all the blood was drained.

"If I have the chance, I will help you take care of that child."

After that, he stood up, but his appearance had almost undergone earth-shaking changes from before.

The dim light of the torch revealed this new look.

I saw that the originally thin body was filled with bulging muscles, becoming extremely tall, the hands turned into giant claws, the pale skin was covered with blood-red bristles, the dark vertical eyes glowed with a bloodthirsty luster, and the head was completely Transformed into a beast, standing in the cell like an upright bloody werewolf.

There was a strong ominous aura all over his body.

".Since I can't defeat the warden as an ordinary person, then I won't be an ordinary person anymore."

Colin stretched out his scarlet tongue and licked his fangs, carefully put away the hard bread, and then grabbed the iron railing with both hands.

The iron fence that could not be shaken just now was easily opened in less than three seconds.

When Colin walked out of the prison, a dozen eyes reflecting green light looked at him from different cells throughout the dungeon.

“It’s like slices of bread spread with sweet butter.”

A strong desire to eat came from Colin's stomach.

After further transformation, Colin also gained a further instinctive understanding of "lycanthropy" and knew that these imprisoned guys were no longer human.

If he "eats" them all, then his strength will definitely rise to the next level.

But unfortunately, I can't eat it.

The still dominant reason told him that the outcome of doing so would most likely be to lose control directly.

The current strength is enough.

Rather than absorbing more power, he needs enough reason.

Only power that is firmly controlled by reason can be called power.

"Although I am still awake at the moment, this state of consciousness will not last long and cannot be maintained."

Colin shook his red hair, resisted the desire to eat, glanced at the closed iron door of the dungeon, and habitually took a deep breath while thinking, causing a "whoosh" sound in the air.

"It shouldn't be difficult to defeat the warden, but I don't have much time. My sanity can only last for one day at most."

"So, you have to find that colleague quickly and contact Bonfire Company, otherwise you will definitely go crazy soon."

"Well, before taking action, use the last fragment to see what will happen."

Thinking quickly, Colin made a decision.

But before he could use his life paper, something unexpected happened again. Someone came outside the dungeon's iron door.

These people lowered their steps, as if they had discovered something, and moved closer here with great vigilance.

"Did you feel something was wrong? The dungeon seems a bit too quiet. It has been a few hours and there has been almost no movement."

"Could it be that everyone is asleep?"

"It's impossible to rest for so long at the same time. This situation has never happened before. There is a rare individual here who the warden pays special attention to."

"Go and check."

Several dungeon guards obviously lowered their voices when talking, but Colin could still hear them clearly. Not only that, he could even tell them by their smell.

There were five people in total.

Damn it, two of them seemed to be glued, why should I smell this smell? Colin blew his nose and did not complain because his nose had endured the grievance it should not have endured.

"It will be close within ten seconds at most. It's too late to use the 'Numerology Book'. I was always worried that too much movement would be discovered, but I ignored it. Judging from the manifestations of 'lycanthropy', too little movement is also a problem."

As Colin's thoughts turned, his body retreated into the darkness of the dungeon, and his dark vertical pupils reflected the locked iron door of the dungeon through the darkness.

Outside the door, dense and gentle footsteps were getting closer and closer.

As they approached, the other "lycanthropes" in the dungeon seemed to realize something, and they immediately rushed into the cage restlessly, letting out meaningless howls.

Several dungeon guards secretly breathed a sigh of relief when they heard this.

If there is any movement, it means

Things should still be fine.

One of them was a little careless because of this. Without checking the door hole first, he directly opened the door latch and prepared to go in to check the specific status.

However, the moment the door latch was pulled open, the iron door was slammed open. The dungeon guard behind the door barely reacted before he was knocked away by a huge force and fell to the ground unconscious.

The other four people were stunned for a moment, and then looked frightened when they saw a giant red-haired beast with an unknown emission rushing out of the door.

The huge beast looked down at them, which was intimidating.

"careful--"

Someone reacted and wanted to fight back, but before he could raise his hand, the terrifying beast swung his hand fiercely and sent him flying against the wall.

Of the five people present, two fell to the ground and passed out in less than two seconds.

The other three people took advantage of this gap and swung their axes to chop at him. Not to mention breaking the skin, they couldn't even break through the layer of long blood-colored hair.
