Campione: Strongest Godslayer!

Chapter 4: Between Life and Death! Haru Kasugano’s Awakening!

The spear pierced through the body Uke Mochi...

The crimson eyes gradually lost focus, and the frail body fell to the ground, raising a cloud of dust as the earth slowly became stained with blood.

'The divinity has been shaken by the power of the moon, and the godly force within me is fighting for control. But my divine power is almost depleted... Is this the end?' Uke Mochi's fading gaze remained fixed on Tsukuyomi, who was descending from above.

With a soft thud, Tsukuyomi landed on the ruins of the shrine that had been created by the impact on the moon's surface.

Step by step, Tsukuyomi approached Uke Mochi. The moonlight shone upon Tsukuyomi, making her golden hair glow with a cold, holy light, exuding a sense of divine nobility and authority.

With a gentle rustle, Tsukuyomi lifted Uke Mochi's weakened body with one hand, as if she were holding a tattered cloth about to be blown away by the wind.

Gathering the last remnants of divine power—power meant to control Haru Kasugano's body—Uke Mochi threw a desperate punch at Tsukuyomi's head.

*Thud!* The punch landed with a faint sound, and despair spread across Uke Mochi's face as her divine power inexplicably dissipated.

The silvery aura radiating from Tsukuyomi remained unscathed as she effortlessly withstood the feeble attack.

"Let us become one again," Tsukuyomi whispered with a slight smile, pressing her lips against Haru's.

In a vast white space, Haru Kasugano opened his eyes and stood up.

"Where am I?" Haru wondered aloud, bewildered as he looked around the blank expanse.

Suddenly, an egg-shaped object appeared above him, emitting a brilliant light that illuminated the entire space.

A message entered Haru's soul.

It was the Dirac Heart, a mysterious substance born from the collision of infinite negative energy within the Dirac Sea. The egg, now residing in Haru's mind, held this mysterious power.

( The Dirac sea is a theoretical model of the electron vacuum as an infinite sea of electrons with negative energy, now called positrons. It was first postulated by the British physicist Paul Dirac in 1930 - Wikipedia )

Without guidance, Haru instinctively understood how to operate the egg, which was connected to the infinite negative energy of the Dirac Sea. By simulating the energy within his body with negative energy and causing them to collide and annihilate each other, the rules of matter and energy would be revealed. The egg's primary purpose was to collect these rules and refine itself.

In return, Haru would receive insights into the rules most suited to him—essentially, the egg possessed the ability to allow Haru to bypass superficial appearances and directly grasp the essence of things.

At the same time, the divine power Uke Mochi had previously infused into Haru's body—the force used to control him—was activated.

The egg sent a message asking if Haru wished to comprehend the rules based on this divine energy. Without hesitation, Haru agreed. The egg released infinite negative energy, simulating the composition of divine power, and then collided with it, causing annihilation. Countless pieces of divine information flooded Haru's mind, revealing the entirety of Uke Mochi's existence.

In the past, on the land of Yamato, people revered the snake that shed its skin and was reborn as a deity of the earth. As a result of the mingling of earth's energy and human spiritual energy, an intangible force took on a personality, and Tsukuyomi first appeared, governing life and death on earth, wandering ceaselessly like a serpent.

However, as human civilization expanded and the boundaries of Yamato were established, the once boundless land that Tsukuyomi ruled over became restricted. Compared to the vast sky and the expansive sea, the limited earth fell behind, and the strongest earth mother deity of Yamato was reduced to a mere Earth God. With a personality of her own, Tsukuyomi naturally resisted this fate.

She shed her serpent form, abandoned her earth powers, and seized half of the sky that Amaterasu once ruled, becoming the deity of the moon and night, one of the three noble children. The shed serpent body continued to roam the earth as Uke Mochi, ultimately creating a mythological tale.

The egg continued to extract the rules and transmitted those best suited to Haru—the rule of earth's life force and the rule of earth's gravity—embedding them into his soul. Eventually, the rules merged with Haru Kasugano's soul.

Thanks to this, Haru gained the authority—Gravitational Manipulation and Life Force Manipulation—with the assistance of the world's rules.

The last vestiges of Uke Mochi's divine power were annihilated!!! The unfortunate Uke Mochi was jointly eliminated by the egg and Haru Kasugano.

When Haru Kasugano reopened his eyes, his pupils contracted sharply, taking in the sight before him: the beautiful woman, now in her adult form, with golden hair. She had her arms wrapped around his neck, passionately kissing him, their lips and tongues entwined.

'It feels like something is being drained from my body!!' As their lips and tongues intertwined, Haru became acutely aware of the changes within his body.

A sharp, searing pain surged through Haru Kasugano as he felt the chilling wind pass through the gaping wound in his abdomen. The sensation was oddly refreshing, even as he became acutely aware of the severity of his injuries.

"My abdomen... it's been pierced... there's a massive hole... I'm losing consciousness... How much blood have I lost? At this rate... I won't make it..."

Born in a time of peace, Haru Kasugano had never suffered such grievous injuries before. The overwhelming pain triggered something within him—a return to his primal instincts, those long dormant and buried deep within him. But what use was this awakening now?

With a sudden snap, the thread of reason in Haru's mind broke, unleashing a beast from within.

He slowly lifted his head, a wild, feral grin spreading across his face.

Meanwhile, in the depths of space, a meteor that should have passed by Earth and continued into the far reaches of the cosmos suddenly altered its course.

**Kasugano Residence**

The house trembled and shook.

"Another earthquake?!" Sora Kasugano muttered, her tone nonchalant, as if she were used to it.

"Where is Haru?! He should've been back by now!" Frustration welled up inside Sora as she set down the black rabbit plushie she had been holding. Grabbing her pink cell phone, she began furiously typing.

"Where on earth are you?! Hurry up and bring back the mosquito coils!"

*—Message Sent!*

The rumbling intensified.

"The shaking is getting worse! I've sent him 70 messages, and he hasn't responded to a single one!" Sora stared at her phone, a growing sense of unease gnawing at her heart.

"No, I need to find him!" She clutched the black rabbit plushie tightly, not bothering to straighten her disheveled white dress as she rushed out the door.

The ground continued to tremble, causing the rice fields to ripple like waves.

On the road beside the fields, Sora Kasugano ran, clutching her black rabbit plushie, her footsteps echoing on the concrete.

A loud crash resounded from the direction of the shrine.

"Huh? Ow!" Sora yelped as the shaking suddenly intensified, causing her to stumble and fall to the ground.

"My knee... it's scraped. This is all Haru's fault," she muttered, pouting in frustration as she glanced at the blood trickling from her knee. Despite her irritation, her delicate features remained as captivating as ever.

She quickly dusted herself off and stood up, shaking out her dress to rid it of dirt.

"The shaking stopped... I need to find Haru, fast." With renewed determination, Sora continued her search.

After some time, Sora arrived near the shrine, standing before the torii gate.

"This can't be real..." she whispered, disbelief washing over her. The once familiar landscape was now unrecognizable. The small hill where the shrine had stood was obliterated, replaced by a massive crater, as if a meteor had just struck.

At the center of the crater, Haru Kasugano lay, his clothes tattered, his body covered in blood.

The black rabbit plushie slipped from Sora's grasp, falling to the ground with a soft thud.
