Campione: Strongest Godslayer!

Chapter 6: Godslayer Rise! Divine Visions! The Four Families!

Tokyo, Japan, Chiyoda Ward, one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, includes the residence of the Japanese Emperor, the Imperial Palace, the National Diet Building (Nagatacho), the Metropolitan Police Department, the Supreme Court, Yasukuni Shrine, and most of the central ministries located in Otemachi. As a result, this area is considered the political and economic center of Japan.

However, in this densely populated and expensive city area, there lies a traditional Japanese-style building with a large area on Third Avenue. The building, covering approximately five acres, is entirely made of cedar wood and exudes a solemn atmosphere.

In its kendo dojo, an elderly man was wielding a katana, repeatedly practicing slashing movements. The old man was deeply immersed in his swordsmanship, and the blade cutting through the air caused a series of whistling sounds.

Suddenly, a black shadow flashed into the dojo.

Upon arrival, the shadow stopped abruptly and knelt on one knee, bowing its head. This was a ninja dressed in black nightwear, with an oni mask covering their face.

"What is the matter, barging in here without notice in such a panic?" The elderly man slowly sheathed his katana, and a voice, filled with authority and magnetism, echoed through the air.

"Report! The high-ranking miko of the Nikko Toshogu Shrine in Nikko City, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kanagawa, the Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara, the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, and the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo received divine visions simultaneously at 8 PM tonight. The visions were especially pronounced at the Toshogu Shrine and Hachimangu Shrine." The ninja spoke with trembling lips, conveying the situation.

"What kind of divine vision would alarm so many miko and cause you such panic? Could it be a prophecy similar to the Starless Night from Princess Alice of the Council of Sages?" Upon hearing the ninja's report, the elderly man tightly gripped the hilt of his sword, his arm veins bulging as he questioned in a tone of disbelief.

"The personnel stationed in Ashikaga City by the History Compilation Committee reported at 8 PM that a large amount of divine power had gathered around the Hazaki-cho area in Ashikaga City. According to... according to the divine visions of many miko, it is suspected that Lord Tsukuyomi has descended as a Heretic God." The ninja's voice trembled with fear as if encountering something terrifying.

"Hiss..." The elderly man drew a sharp breath.

The sword sheath clattered to the ground, but at that moment, no one cared.

"A Heretic God has descended on the land of Yamato, and it's one of the Three Noble Children... Is Heaven trying to destroy Us? Cough... cough..." The elderly man's emotions were too intense, causing him to cough up blood before collapsing to the ground.

"Send my orders... summon the heads of the Renjou Family, the Seishuuin Family, and the Kuhoutsuka to the Imperial Palace for a meeting. Also, order the members of the History Compilation Committee stationed around Ashikaga City to closely monitor the situation in Hazaki-cho and keep a close watch on the movements of the deity." The old man gave out instructions solemnly as he lightly patted his heart, waiting for the pain to subside. His voice echoed throughout the entire dojo.

"Yes!" came multiple responses from the shadows.

Ashikaga City, Inari Shrine of Kadota

An elderly figure sat under the sacred tree of the shrine, calmly observing the young priests in front of him.

"The Sayanomiya Family has issued an order for us to send personnel to Hazaki-cho to investigate whether a Heretic God has descended," the old man said in an indifferent tone. However, as he reached the last sentence, his voice was already filled with fury.

The crowd below stirred.

"Isn't that suicidal?" "Why should we go? Why not send the main family of Sayanomiya?" "Ryoko, I don't want to die!" Such comments echoed, and the once serene shrine was instantly transformed into a marketplace.

"Silence!" The old man roared, silencing the noise below.

"Harada Daisuke!"

"... Present!" A man dressed in priestly robes hesitated momentarily before stepping forward.

"You will lead them to Hazaki-cho to investigate. Sigh." The old man looked deeply at Harada Daisuke, letting out a helpless sigh.

"... Understood." After a long silence, Harada Daisuke's expression turned incredibly grim as he clenched his fists tightly, his nails digging into his palms, drawing blood. He nodded in agreement.

In the past, ancient people worshipped natural disasters and calamities as deities. These natural forces, after receiving significant faith, gained self-awareness and roamed the earth unchecked. Suffering under these deities, the ancients created myths to restrain them. From then on, the deities were bound by myths, unable to act beyond the confines of these myths, and the earth temporarily regained peace.

But how could self-aware deities willingly accept such constraints? Therefore, many sought to break free from the shackles of mythology. Some deities succeeded in separating their divinity and part of their power from mythology, descending to the earth. However, the price of defying mythology was being consumed by madness, turning them into walking disasters, Heretic Gods.

Heretic Gods who descended to earth wreaked havoc just as they did in ancient times. Mortals could not resist their power, but there were always exceptions. Through countless miracles, relying on the ancient mechanisms that controlled mythology, humans who could kill Heretic Gods and seize their power emerged. They wielded the authority to take power from the gods, killing the unruly deities, and protecting and ruling the people of the earth.

These people were known as God Slayers!

At around 10 PM, the full moon shone brightly, illuminating the earth.

Kasugano Residence

"You're saying that you got caught up in a battle between two women! Blonde! Goddesses! And one of them controlled your body to engage in a life-and-death duel?" Kasugano Sora crossed her arms, staring suspiciously at Haru's face, emphasizing the words "women" and "blonde."

"That's right, that's exactly what happened." Haru nodded, shaking his head as he affirmed.

"And the battle leveled an entire mountain, destroyed a shrine, and left a crater over 50 meters in diameter on the ground?" Kasugano Sora's gaze grew even more suspicious.

"Yes, that's exactly what happened." Haru nodded again like a puppet.

"And then those two blonde vixens took your first kiss and second kiss?" Kasugano Sora's eyes were burning with something, anger.

"Then what was that kiss just now!!!" Kasugano Sora suddenly grabbed a black stuffed rabbit and began smashing it against Haru's head, striking him again and again.

"Wait, Sora, didn't I give you my first kiss when we were six years old?" Haru hurriedly shielded his head, blocking Sora's strikes. Though the blows didn't hurt a God Slayer, if he didn't calm the girl down, his life would be difficult afterward!

Kasugano Sora's movements abruptly stopped, her ears turning bright red.

"This time... I'll let you off." Kasugano Sora blushed, turning away from Haru, speaking softly, looking incredibly cute.

Bang! Suddenly, there was a loud noise.

Haru and Kasugano Sora turned toward the door.

The door of the Kasugano residence was kicked open, and three priests entered one after another.

"Is this house really just occupied by two kids?" The three looked toward the living room, where they found Kasugano and her brother. The leading priest spoke coldly.

"Never mind that, Ono-kun. Let's capture them first and ask questions later. Spirit Binding." The priest on the right pulled out a scroll from his sleeve, unrolling it and chanting an incantation. An invisible wave spread out.

A soft "biu" sound was heard.

"Hm? What happened, Tokugawa-san?" The leading priest noticed something unusual and turned to look at the priest on the right, Tokugawa.

"My spell was bounced back!!!" Tokugawa's face was full of astonishment as he scrutinized the remnants of the talisman in his hand, repeatedly trying to confirm something.

At this moment, Haru moved. With one step, he instantly crossed several meters, appearing in front of Ono. Clenching his right fist, he delivered a powerful punch to the head, causing it to explode like a watermelon. Immediately afterward, he twisted his waist and delivered an elbow strike to Tokugawa's temple. With a loud "bang," another "watermelon" burst open.

When Ono's head was smashed, the priest on the left finally reacted, utterly terrified by the horrific scene of heads being blown apart. He didn't even have time to use a spell to resist and hurriedly fled the house.

"Ah!!!!" A sharp scream echoed as Kasugano Sora covered her mouth with both hands, staring at the gruesome scene before her.

"Haru, you've killed someone. We need to run away quickly, no... no, we should deal with the bodies first," Kasugano Sora said in a panic.

"Keep quiet. Hide in the woodshed for now; I'll go outside and take care of the one who escaped," Haru quickly moved forward and covered Kasugano Sora's lips with his clean left hand, whispering softly.

"Mm, okay, I got it." Seeing Haru's serious face, Kasugano Sora's trembling body gradually calmed down. She silently walked toward the woodshed behind the house, looking back every few steps, wanting to say something but holding back.

After Kasugano Sora's figure disappeared, Haru gazed down at his slender hands with a somber expression.

"Killing people doesn't seem so difficult after all..." Haru muttered to himself, a bloodthirsty expression appearing on his face.

After a moment, Haru calmed himself and stepped out of the house.

Outside, he was gradually surrounded by more than ten young men dressed in priest robes. Their movements were coordinated and orderly, clearly indicating that they had formed some sort of formation.

The priests halted their steps.

Haru tightly clenched his fists, veins bulging on his arms as Magical Energy began to gather.

At that moment, as Haru gathered his Energy, the atmosphere began to surge, and the Magical Energy, deep like an abyss, spread out like a tsunami.

Harada Daisuke, the leader, shrank his pupils in shock, while the priests behind him showed expressions of fear. Seeing the young man in front of them, even a fool would realize they had provoked someone they shouldn't have.

"This is...! Magical Energy as Grand as the ocean, a body that ignores spells, and the previously manifested Heretic God."

Suddenly, Harada Daisuke prostrated himself on the ground, his voice filled with reverence!

"Harada Daisuke, a high-ranking priest of the Monden Inari Shrine, pays respects to the Demon King!"
