"I think I've seen this kind of report before..." Erica muttered, pressing her forehead in thought. She recalled seeing something similar in the Copper Black Cross's intelligence reports.

A god would appear in a certain location, and at the same time, there would be reports of the strongest King's presence. But often, contradictory reports would surface, claiming the strongest King was seen elsewhere. Because of these conflicting accounts, the Greenwich mages' council even nicknamed this King "The Elusive King."

"Wait, if you're here, then that means…" Erica gasped, realization dawning on her.

"That's right. A Heretic God has descended. In fact, two of them," Haru said, a playful glint in his eyes as he watched Erica's surprised reaction. The little girl who hadn't quite blossomed three years ago had now become a breathtaking beauty.

Erica immediately knelt on one knee, performing a knightly salute. "Although this is a presumptuous request, I implore you to intervene. The presence of two Heretic Gods is far too dangerous. If either of them were to attack Sardinia, the inhabitants wouldn't stand a chance… At the very least, please buy the civilians some time to evacuate."

"Well, well, the price for my intervention is quite high. But there are two gods here," Haru said, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the kneeling Erica.

'As expected, even the strongest King wouldn't want to face two gods at the same time. What should I do? Right, with the Holy Annihilator, I should be able to buy some time, creating an opportunity…' Erica pondered for a moment, then decided to gamble her life on the possibility that the strongest King could swiftly end the fight.

"No need to beg. He's already made his move." A young man appeared in mid-air.

"Tch, interrupting my cat-taming session is grounds for a beating! Verethragna!" Haru's face darkened as he glared at the young man in the sky.

"The young man from before? Wait… Verethragna, the ancient Persian god of war with ten incarnations? So this boar is one of his avatars." Based on the brief exchange between the Devil King and the god, Erica guessed the god's identity. The realization sent shivers down her spine. She had just pointed her sword at a god!

The god's words and expression echoed in her mind: "Don't be rash, little girl. Pointing your sword at me is an act of barbarity that even the heroes of old wouldn't dare commit. Ignorance is terrifying!" He had looked at her like she was a bothersome kitten, his face filled with exasperation. Thank goodness, thank goodness this boar appeared. Otherwise, I would have been obliterated on the spot.

"That was quite painful, Godslayer. Shattering my body, piercing Melqart's form… You're truly fearsome. Are all the current Devil Kings this powerful? But victory is still within my grasp. Let our war continue. I've already seen through your trump card," Verethragna said, his eyes blazing as he looked at Haru, a wide grin on his face.

"Sir Kasugano has already made a move? Then what about just now…?" Erica stared at the two, dumbfounded.

"Of course. Would a Godslayer retreat upon seeing a god? The normal reaction is to grab your weapon and charge in!" Haru grinned mischievously at Erica.

"Then… then…" Erica stammered, her clever mind struggling to make sense of the situation.

"Honestly, you were this close to offering yourself to me, Erica," Haru teased, his grin widening.

"Th-that's… terrible… you… you pervert!" Erica's face burned crimson. The shame washed over her as she finally remembered that the Devil King in front of her was the one with the most wives among the seven Godslayers. Rumor had it that he had been involved with over a hundred women, and even the Godslayer Luo Hao had supposedly fallen prey to his charms.

"Alright, alright, I'll stop teasing you. Do you intend to fight me here, Verethragna? In your current battered state?" Satisfied with Erica's flustered reaction, Haru nodded and turned his attention to Verethragna.

"Ah, indeed. Even with victory in hand, facing you in this condition would be rather troublesome. Could you wait a moment longer? Allow me to retrieve my incarnation before we engage in a full-fledged battle," Verethragna said, rubbing the back of his head in annoyance. Although he had seen through Haru's Authorities and had some confidence in winning, he wasn't sure if his damaged body could withstand the fight.

"Oh dear, Pandora wouldn't approve of an unfair fight. It can't be helped. Take this boar with you, pig farmer," Haru said, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he mocked Verethragna's declaration of victory.

"Well, thank you" Verethragna said, ignoring Haru's taunt. He swung his right arm sharply.

A massive tornado formed with Verethragna's gesture. The fierce wind swept towards the boar Haru was riding, engulfing it. As the boar roared, it was slowly swallowed by the storm. A golden disc with ten notches appeared behind Verethragna. Within seven of the empty notches, a stone carving of a boar appeared. The boar incarnation had been retrieved.

"Then, I'll see you on the battlefield, mighty Godslayer." Verethragna vanished within the tornado.

Haru reappeared beside Erica, giving her shapely backside a playful pat. "What are you still standing around for? Let's go."

"Eek!" Erica jumped, tears welling up in her eyes as she glared at the perverted King.

"Could you at least show a little chivalry? What 'great deeds' have you been up to these past three years to transform from a handsome man into… this?"

"Being with a lot of girls does that to you," Haru said with a shrug. Once a person's morals were broken, there was no going back. Specifically, it started around the time he overcame his inner demons… a time of various unscrupulous, yet enjoyable experiences.

"...Such a lewd statement." Erica mumbled, her face flushed. She took a deep breath, regaining her usual dignified composure.

"So, Your Majesty, why did you let that god of war go? If you're talking about fairness, weren't you the one who shattered him into that state in the first place?"

Hearing Erica's question, Haru scratched his cheek. "Just call me Haru. I permit you to address me so… Well, wouldn't it be boring to run around killing Verethragna's incarnations one by one? That's ten separate battles. It's better to let him gather his avatars and finish him off in one go. If I can shatter him effortlessly now, I can certainly bury him later, can't I?"

Erica stopped, looking at Haru's confident smile. A slight smirk played on her lips.

"That's quite a confident statement. But you should… no, Haru, you should pay more attention to the situation. Letting a god run rampant on Sardinia will cause enormous damage."

"Well, I don't have to pay for the damages, and I doubt the Copper Black Cross will have to shoulder much of the burden either."

"You should still consider the losses suffered by the civilians."

"It's not my money, and I'm here to help solve the problem!"

The young man and woman bickered as they walked into the distance.

Godou Kusanagi stared blankly at the desolate wilderness around him. "Where the hell am I?!"
