Chapter 20: Fallen.

*Celia’s POV*

The fall was further than I expected, but at least I survived it. Can’t say the same for my butt, since it is in immense pain at the moment. Holyshit… I actually lost over a hundred HP from that fall…

Ruina: “I would say that you should be more careful, but I clearly was the one who distracted you…” She said with a remorseful tone.

Celia: “It’s fine, I am still alive, after all. Now, where the heck am I?” I ask with a sigh.

Ruina: “From looking at the walls, I’d say that this is that dungeon that you were once in.” She replied.

Celia: “Really? Ah, and, so they are called dungeons. Cool! Though, you know, now that I have been outside of it, I am very confused on how that farm is connected to it…” I say with a thinking pose.

Ruina: “It wasn’t.” She said.

Celia: “Huh!?” I exclaim.

Ruina: “That tunnel was made by the higher beings, to put you in a place where you could get more Exp. The tunnel was connected to a portal. In reality, that fish farm is currently a few hundred miles away from here.” She explained.

Fuck… These fuckers have been messing with me more than I originally thought… One day, and just out of spite, I will kill them! Or maybe, just pray that they stub their toes, or something along those lines.

Celia: “At least these crystals still light up the cave.” I say with a sigh.

Ruina: “It’s good that your way is lit up. Now, please take out some of the items from the pouch that Yona gave to you.” She said.

Celia: “Huh? What do you mean? This pouch must be completely empty. I mean, it is so light...” I say with a confused tone and expression.

Ruina: “That pouch has spatial magic placed on the inside of it. On top of that, it has a magic seal on it that prevents the Inspect Skill from working.” She said with a giggle.

Celia: “…”

Now I feel like an idiot… Untying the small ornate rope around the pouch, I then stuck one of my hands inside of it. Oddly, I could sorta “feel” what was inside of it. There was around thirty different meals for me to eat, as well as various weapons. Thinking of taking a sword out of the pouch, I grabbed on to what I assume is the handle, and then I pulled.

What followed was almost comical, as the sword was pulled out of the pouch by me, it was extremely weird that such a big sword would be able to fit in a small pouch like this… Anyway, grabbing the hilt of the sword with both of my hands, I lift it up like a hero in a fantasy story.

Not! I lifted it up over my head, and then the sword, and me, fell backwards. This event caused Ruina to break out in laughter. I can pick it up, but it is just far too big for my child body at the moment. With a red blush on my face, I put the sword back into the pouch, and take out a short sword instead.

Giving it a good swing, I can actually use it quite well. Not! Look, I was a goddamn teacher for crying out loud! I have no goddamn idea on how to use a sword. If I was to fight with it, my fighting style would just be me aimlessly swinging my sword around…

Ruina: “Would you like for me to give you a swordsmanship Skill?” She asked.

Celia: “I thought that you couldn’t affect the System anymore?” I ask with a head tilt.

Ruina: “I was reinstated. The reasoning being, because they wanted to see what would happen if a System with a unique personality, continued to help its user. Ah, I was even given some of my memories back as well.” She answered.

Celia: “I don’t trust those people. Besides, if you were going to give me Skills like candy, then I would just selfishly ask for them all.” I say with a shrug.

Ruina: “A very wise decision.” She said with a happy tone.

Celia: “I am just being spiteful, why would it be wise?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ruina: “I could give you every Skill, but you would die.” She answered with a serious tone.

Celia: “Why!?” I yell.

Ruina: “Because doing so would sacrifice parts of your soul. Meaning that it would take years off of your life just for me to give you one skill.” She replied.

Celia: “…”

That is… a very terrifying thought. To think that I was actually just joking, and was totally going to accept her offer. That is until I just now heard what the cost would be. To help with my unease, a Primal Goblin showed up.

With these kinds of Goblins, they don’t seem to care about kidnapping cute girls. So, I truly only have to worry about them trying to kill me. The Primal Goblin approached me with a makeshift shitty looking dagger.

I readied my short sword, and waited for it to attack me. It lunged at me with intent to kill, but I managed to dodge it. As I dodge, the Goblin ended up with its back to me, and taking that chance, I used my sword to slash its back.

The sword cut through the Primal Goblin like butter. And far more blood was sprayed around than I originally assumed would. Luckily, I did not get any blood on me at all. Even so, I didn’t drop my guard. Oddly, the Goblin just fell to the ground, and stopped moving.

This Primal Goblin shouldn’t be smart enough to lay a trap like this, but I still went towards it with caution. Poking it with my sword, the fucker was actually already dead…

What the heck!? I just slashed it one time… Why would it die just from one cut from my short sword? I was nervous, so I used Inspect on my Sword.

Okay… that’s good! I was worried that Yona had given me an overpowered weapon, but that Goblin only died because the Bleed Effect activated on the poor lad. Taking a dagger out of my pouch, I sliced off the Goblins ears, and cut out its fangs.

While exploring this Goblin dungeon, I can collect their ears and fangs, so that I could fund my trip to Yona’s kingdom. Going by the Emblem that she gave me, which I just now safely stored inside the pouch, I can only assume that she is a noble of some kind. Something which I find interesting!

Anyway, I guess that I should just explore around? It’s not like I WANT to be in this dungeon. Clearly, the dungeon wants me, not the other way around. Wait… that sounds so damn wrong…

Ignoring my accidentally inappropriate comment, I went further into the dungeon. To what wonders await me, only excites me more, and more!
