Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 4. Chapter 85: Finding a Plan… (Chapter 386)

Chapter 85: Finding a Plan…

(Ria’s POV)

I got fucking nothing… What even is this hell that I find myself in? Celia was much like this, being at the mercy of either my or God’s whims. And now even the Will’s whims.

In some kind of cosmic humor, now I am left to be strung along like she was? Amelie refused to let me leave her estate. The maids, as annoying as it is, they were actually trained for combat.

Sure, I can beat them easily. But that would completely blow my cover. Not to mention, but what would I even do after that? This Ria had no fighting skills at all, and me escaping from this estate would just be completely unthought of.

At a complete and utter stalemate, what was I to do? The worst part is that these maids were just normal before. But the moment that I thought about escaping via overpowering them, they suddenly became professional fighters? This is an absurd level of bullshit…

Ria: “…”

I sighed and then tried to pick up my cup of tea. Oddly, it wouldn’t move at all. Looking up from the table, I saw a woman, that was now sitting on the couch opposite of me. Time was frozen before us. It was Sava…

Sava: “It is good to see you again, Ria.” She said with an almost emotionless expression.

Ria: “…Where is my wife?” I ask with a serious tone.

Sava: “Oh, Celia? She is fine. Though she isn’t ready yet, so please be patient for her return.” She answered.

Ria: “Ready for what?” I ask, trying to contain my anger.

Sava: “I cannot explain that yet, sorry. Instead, I am just here to inform you of something.” She refused to answer.

Ria: “If it isn’t something to do with my wife, then I do not care at all.” I say with a scoff.

Sava was much different from before… The giddy nature of hers was nowhere to be seen. Almost like it was some kind of act… What is her purpose in showing up here? Just to upset me?…

Sava: “It isn’t directly related to her, but knowing about it will be a benefit to you.” She expressed.

Ria: “…And what do you wish to tell me?” I reply.

Sava: “Do you feel it? The Will of Existence is controlling your life… It isn’t letting you interfere with the story of this dimension, which it surely enjoyed creating.” She explained.

Ria: “Are you here just to gloat about that, or something?” I say with an angry tone.

Sava: “Gloat? Far from it, dear. You see, like Celia, I was once the Will’s favorite plaything. The moment it got tired of me trying to be free and not under its control, well… You can see how it rewrote history of myself.” She denied.

Ria: “…”

Sava: “I failed to combat it, and I… Sorry. Anymore, and I will have overstayed my welcome. Going behind the Will’s back takes a lot of effort, you see. I will leave you with this.” She said, holding out her hand.

On her palm was some small, black, endless galaxy sphere. It wasn’t something that I had ever seen before… All this sounds crazy, and I cannot believe that I have to go along and agree with someone who kidnapped one of my wives but… I took hold of it, regardless.

Soon, I felt the urge to eat it, so I did just that. I felt… nothing different. Though, I did feel like… I don’t know. It is very hard to express. It was like some invisible strings that were attached to me, were just cut, releasing me from… something’s control.

Was… were those strings something that the Will used to control me? Seeing that magic ball, I was split between having an absurd urge to eat it, and an absurd urge to stay away from it at all costs. The Will was controlling me that much, and I didn’t even notice?…

Sava: “God messed up by putting you in such a weak and limited body. The Will, as you all prefer to call it, took this as a chance to take control over you.” She informed.

Ria: “…”

Sava: “But as powerful as it is, you should consider it to be a bored child, just having its fun. As such, it didn’t plan on taking control over you fully right away. Instead, it planned to do it slowly. Just like the foolish child that it is.” She added.

Ria: “And what did you just give me? Was it… part of your soul?” I assume.

Sava: “That’s correct. With it, the Will, will no longer be able to control you. In turn, you can do as you please.” She answered.

Ria: “Why help me?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Sava: “Helping you is also helping me, you see. But this is the most that I can do at the moment. Once I unfreeze time, you will forget that any of this happened.” She replied.

Ria: “…I am not too fond of having my memories tampered with.” I say with a scoff.

Sava: “Tamper? No. I will be erasing the memories of this meeting completely. This meeting won’t even be recorded on the records of this dimension. Like it never even happened.” She denied.

Ria: “That would take up a considerable amount of power… Why go so far?” I ask with a curious tone.

Sava: “I find your curiosity to be very cute, much like that wife of yours… If the Will knows that I am meddling once again, it will not be good for any of us. You see, what I did will make it not even realize that it ever had you under their control.” She explained.

Ria: “How can…” My words were cut off.

Sava: “I spent too much time in this meeting… Farewell, Ria. I pray that you’ll be successful in your endeavors.” She said, snapping her fingers.

Ria: “…”

Zia: “What’s wrong?” She asked.

Ria: “No, nothing…” I reply.

What was I doing just now? Ah, right… I was thinking of how to deal with this silly scenario that I find myself in. If only those maids were just normal girls… Huh? What am I talking about… They’re just maids, right? Why should I worry about them?

Zia: “I think that we’ve padded for enough time now. We should leave this estate and focus on saving Nina.” She advised.

Ria: “We’ll leave tonight. With any luck, we can finish the story of this dimension within just a month or so.” I agree.

Motherfucker… Something is ridiculously wrong here. Was there a reason for me to waste so much time here in this estate? It’s not like I even need to escape… All I have to do is make a damn body double. Why didn’t I think of such an obvious solution?

And what’s this about us padding for time? When did I agree with that? I don’t have any memories of doing so… Ah, this is frustrating on a brand new level. Who is messing with me like this!?

This is what Celia must feel like all the time… I am such a horrible wife for subjecting her to this kind of hell. Once more, I need to make it up to her in some way… Before I can do that, I must save Nina and Amelie, before then finding Ruina and saving her as well. At least I have a plan now…
