Weekly Chapter 5/6

Eunha looked at him in confusion.

“I asked you who’s watching us.”

“They…”

“Say their names.”

“I don’t know. Why did you kiss me when you know they’re watching us?”

“There are many lives to take.”

Jihak slowly turned his head, he didn’t seem to care about killing them. Eunha felt an instinctive fear when she saw the people reflected in his eyes.

Someone might lose their life.

She impulsively hugged his waist.

“I don’t like it.”

Her eyes trembled. He hugged Eunha.

“What…?”

“I don’t want to watch these people get hurt.”

“Are you worried about their lives?”

“I have ears too. I know what happened to the people who hurt me.”

“I think they deserved to die.”

She frowned. She felt nervous because Jihak said it calmly.

When the woman who was supposed to be in the room appeared, instinctively turned his head. The way she hid behind the oak tree was funny to him.

But he was worried because she was alone in the dark.

“But this case is different. They didn’t hurt me.”

“They dared to look at us.”

“That’s not a sin.”

“Do you want to save them?”

Her body trembled because she couldn’t answer.

Sigh

When her gaze was lost in the darkness, he grabbed her hair. She moaned.

But he didn’t see in her eyes the light he desired.

Her frightened black eyes clawed at his mind.

The fingers that gripped her hair relaxed.

“You asked me why I meet them when I don’t look happy.”

When he recognized that she still felt fear, unkind thoughts began to form in his mind.

“First I give sweets to them, then I eat more. I won’t keep them around to save them. The person who knows that sweetness best is you. Eunha.”

He wiped his bloody lip with his hand.

In a room that smelled of blood, a bloodstained man trembled. His hair was in disarray and his blood-covered face was unrecognizable.

A figure was cast in the blood that had pooled beneath the chair to which he was secured.

Yuljae unmoved looked at the killer.

The killer’s eyes trembled. The man who had appeared had pulled out all his teeth to stop him from biting his tongue.

“I don’t know anything about it.”

His words sounded strange because he had no teeth. It would not be surprising if he became unconscious at this moment, yet his mental fortitude was notably strong.

“Looks like we got meat.”

The man twisted his eyes.

The shadows beside him clutched his sword in indignation. This guy wouldn’t open his mouth if it ripped out his toenails. His anger rose towards the bastard who had desecrated the oath to become the Master’s life.

When the door to the room opened, Jihak entered wearing a white robe.

A light akin to madness appeared in the assassin’s eyes when he saw Jihak. But the Prince’s eyes, looking at the assassin, seemed inhuman.

“I don’t need this guy anymore.”

“Master.”

Jihak drew the sword strapped to Yuljae’s waist.

The Prince’s face, reflected in the raised sword, was like a demon.

The sharp sword pierced the assassin’s heart. He could feel his heartbeat through the hand that held his sword.

“Argg!”

The blood that the assassin vomited splattered Jihak’s cheek. He cruelly smiled.

“Uncle.”

The assassin’s body went rigid.

Jihak lifted his upper body.

The blood-stained white robe evoked an eerie fear. No one was able to say anything, they just looked at the owner.
