Arc 1: The Meeting - Chapter 60

"Caretaker, it has been a month now. It's time for you and the rest to head to the next world." Ghost informed me immediately while I was having fun in the water with the girls.

"Wait, what?!" I stare at Ghost in shock and horror. "How the fuck has it been a month already?! The sun is still in the sky and hasn't set yet!"

For fuck sake! I would know a month would pass by, the moment sunset, yet it hasn't! The sun is still up in the sky, bright as ever! No sign of it going down anytime soon.

Ghost continued as if it didn't hear me, "And since you haven't picked the sixty godlike items throughout the timeframe."

I felt my heart die right there and then. Holy shit, sixty godlike items! Do I have to go through six hundred godlike items to pick out the sixty godlike items to grab?!

"Thereby, the Boss has informed me that instead of losing the chance of picking anything." Ghost brought relief to me. "You'll be allowed to choose what you want as a godlike item; however, this is only to be done if you decide not to pick any godlike items for a month straight. The moment you choose a godlike item before the month ends, you'll lose this benefit, and you won't get back those days to pick out godlike items."

Well, that is good but bad if I come across a godlike item I would love to have. However, there are times when I don't know if there are any I want. But, simultaneously, I would have fewer godlike items in numbers in the long term.

Either way, I better pick something out before I might lose this chance to get something. But, damn... fifty-nine godlike items are gone!

"Alright, so I pick anything. Would it be converted into a godlike item, or would it be something on the scale of a godlike item?" I ask Ghost before accidentally picking something that wouldn't be considered as a godlike item.

"It will be converted as a godlike item if it wasn't already." Ghost answered.

Quickly, I use Invasion on myself and see what kind of item I would want as a godlike item. Luckily, it didn't take too long before I got something.

Then, I told Ghost what I wanted and displayed the description to ensure it was the one I had in mind. But, mainly its ability than the item itself.

Language Grave: This is the ability that served as a symbolic cemetery for Dead Languages. Language Grave is found within a host that serves as the repository for all Dead Languages. When a language becomes a Dead Language, it automatically becomes a part of the host, providing them instant in-depth knowledge as well as the ability to use the true power of the language itself. With Language Grave, the host is able to recall and recognize any Dead Language they see, whether through verbal or written means.

Then, without a word, Ghost shoots a small beam directly at my head, knocking me back into the water; instantly, numerous symbols representing countless Dead Languages taking on the form of a tattoo appear all over my body before fading away, awaiting me to activate it.

I blank out for a split second and scowl at how 99% of the Dead Languages pouring into the Language Graves are fatal to my life the moment I use any of them.

Yup, this is the one, and damn, it's overpowered if one thinks about all the Dead Languages as the languages to manipulate part of reality in some specific ways. Furthermore, consider this on the multiverse scale compared to the original numbers of Dead Languages of this ability revealed in the canon series.

In addition, thanks to Language Grave, Solomon's Gate became even more powerful, with all the numerous Dead Languages to be used as a focus for casting spells.

Quickly, I swim back up, then ignore Ghost for the time being and look where Yui is at the side.

"Yui! Do you know why the sun hasn't gone down once? It has been a month since we arrived at the water park!" I stare at Yui with wide eyes, hoping she has an answer to this shocking discovery.

"Well, there are many side effects while the world is resetting. Some happen, some don't. There are times there would be new side effects that haven't been shown yet." Yui replied calmly, but I noticed something that made me narrow my eyes at her. "What?"

"You wouldn't happen to kill 99% of the natives in this world, so with this world reset going on, would shorten our time in this world, would you?" I slowly swim closer to Yui, who is swimming away simultaneously. "Yui..."

"No, of course not." Yui answered, yet her eyes darted everywhere but in my direction as she started to swim backward faster.

"Yui...!" I can feel my right eyebrow twitching.

"Really!" Yui quickly swims away in a hurry.

Yup. The daughters take after their mother.

It took some time, but I got Yui to admit that she wasn't interested in staying in a world visited by so many other people that replaced too many of the natives, which defeated the purpose of having the fun of changing things ourselves.

Well, good to know that Yui likes to mess with canon personally, or at least in our group, unlike with her daughters. They wouldn't care if canon changes or not.

"So, should we stay a bit longer or leave now?" I ask the girls.

Without a word, everyone changed out of their swimsuits and back into their daily clothes. Then, the next thing I know, Nyarla pushes a door open, and we all walk through, leading us to a new world. To be precise, it's the Magical Girl Apocalypse.

"This world feels weird." I said the first thing that came to mind.

"That's because I made sure to send us to a world under the Eldritch pantheon's control and I made sure that nothing goes wrong with this world while we're staying here for a month." Nyarla said proudly.

"So, that massive tear in the sky with... magical girls or doll, I think? Are falling from that massive tear. Does that look like nothing is going wrong with this world?" I ask Nyarla in a deadpan tone.

I use Invasion to recall the memory of what I have read in the Magical Girl Apocalypse manga, and those deadly magical girls came from a future in another timeline to come to the past with their main objective to kill humans to comply with the Plan Magical Girls of the End. Something the final villain created due to a ritual to perform to gain their own utopia.

"And why are all of them coming towards us?" Preparing for a fight, I brought out the One Holy Spear and Newtonian Apple from my mindscape. I have attached the Ultimate Poison to the One Holy Spear and with Solomon's Gate deployed. In addition, I have Fragarach set up to deal with any final attacks these magical girls might have that aren't part of the canon.

I quickly use En to spread the entire town and conjure countless shikigami through Ghost.

Just as I was about to launch the first attack.

Nyarla walked over and grabbed one of the magical girls from the air that wore a gothic lolita dress with shades of purple and black; her hair was gray with a slight shade of purple, tied into pigtails with a purple and black bow in the middle. Her eyes are large and round. Her cane is shaped like an umbrella with a large purple sphere.

"Little Liv, what are you doing here?" Nyarla asks the little magical girl, that pretty much too skinny. "You and your sisters shouldn't be in this world."

"Hi, Lady Nyarla." Little Liv greeted. "We were tasked to come to this world to destroy all mankind to push two humans to breed to complete a ritual for a silly man."

"Who orders is this and why would you listen to them? If I recall, I told you and your sisters to stay in the dream world until I call for any of you." Nyarla said coldly, her glowing eyes becoming more sinister as she griped Little Liv tighter, causing the latter to break into cold sweats.

In fact, all the magical girls finally land on the ground and gather around with them kneeling before us. Well, mainly kneeling before Nyarla, I'm betting.

"I-It was one of your toys that told us this would help get you a new, better toy to play with once you return to us." Little Liv said shakenly.

Wow, this makes me wonder if I was still considered a toy for Nyarla until I gained my identity as a Caretaker in the Eldritch pantheon instead of being a temporary caretaker that might not last too long if it wasn't for the glowing books. Still kind of sad if one looks at it from a certain point of view. Also, this remind me to look for another glowing book to gain a new cheat.

Alchemy is great and all, along with the other cheats. But I still need more no matter what as long I'm part of the Eldritch pantheon and taking care of Nyarla and the others. Plus, I can almost hear Perfect Timing screaming that I need to read another glowing book soon, but not too soon.

Anyway, seeing how none of these magical girls are going to kill us and are on our side, not that weird, and I can see most of the natives are minding their own business. Heck, they didn't even react to the sudden appearances of all these magical girls. Instead, they would always make sure to move away and try not to touch any of them.

Ten bucks, it's Shouko making this happen. It's only her that I could think of that would do something like this. I would have done it myself, but I was too concerned about the potential battle with the magical girls with deadly magical wands.

What do you crazy voices think? Or could it be one of the girls just feeling nice? I would have said Yui, but she did just kill 99% of the popularization of Freezing world. So no idea who it could be besides Shouko.

"Which toy of mine dare do such a thing behind my back?" Nyarla nearly snarls.

Note to self: If I ever develop a time-traveling Nen ability. Warn past me not to do anything behind Nyarla's back, even after obtaining the identity as the Eldritch pantheon's Caretaker.

Suddenly, a man with feminine features, having long green hair and green eyes, is wearing the typical clothes of an exorcist.

"Lady Nyarla-" Before the feminine man could even finish his greeting and possibly some excuse if he were the one behind this whole thing.

Nyarla glares at him, causing his body to explode into a bloody mist.

Yeah, I have to put even more effort into taking care of the girls' needs. Especially Nyarla's.

"Now, that's taken care of. All of you, return to the dream world and wait for my punishment." Nyarla didn't let Little Liv go. "You, on the other hand, will stay here and explain every detail of what's happening to me."

You know, crazy voices; I got this slight feeling that this world might not even be the same as the manga. Not if these magical girls belong to Nyarla, which made their origin utterly different from the manga. Thereby, they are more dangerous than what they have shown in the manga.

I wonder if Magical Girl Apocalypse's final and main antagonist would appear while we're here.
