She planned to first return to her dorm to take a bath before doing some exercise, humming cheerfully to herself from the prospect of earning a hefty sum.

Upon entering, she found Beiming Han sitting on her small bed, his expression stern as he looked at her.

“Ah Han, why did you come back so early today?” Gu Qingxin put down her backpack, noticing something unusual about him. As she got closer, she noticed a strong mix of alcohol and cigarette smells on him, almost choking her somewhat.

“You’ve been drinking?” Gu Qingxin felt a sudden tightening in her chest, wondering how much he had smoked to produce such a strong odor.

Beiming Han merely stared at her, silent. His dark gaze was deep, like an unfathomable vortex, making Gu Qingxin’s heart clench.

She didn’t understand what was going on with him.

“Ah Han, do you want to take a bath first?” Gu Qingxin looked at him anxiously, not understanding why he was looking at her like this.

“You help me wash.” Beiming Han pulled her into his arms, his gaze lacking the slightest hint of warmth.

Had she been so happy because she met that man?!

“Then, I’ll go and run the bath water.” Gu Qingxin, not knowing what he was thinking, quickly stood up to leave. His stare was like a thistle in her back.

Reaching the upper floor, Gu Qingxin absent-mindedly crouched by the bathtub to fill it with bath water. After it was filled, she stood up to find him leaning against the door frame, watching her.

Seeing that the water was ready, Beiming Han straightened up and walked towards her, his steps somewhat unsteady.

Gu Qingxin quickly supported him, nearly being crushed by his weight.

She propped him up, wanting to ask him what had happened, but the cold aura radiating from him stopped her from uttering a word.

“Help me undress!” Beiming Han straightened up, spreading his arms.

Gu Qingxin lifted her hands, undoing his shirt one button at a time, then helped him out of his pants.

Although, at the beginning, he had her serve him, their relationship had since warmed and he had been taking care of her.

It had been a long time since she’d helped him take a bath.

“Undress!” Beiming Han commanded coldly.

Gu Qingxin’s hands hesitated for a moment, she didn’t dare to look up, and then tugged down the edge of his shorts.

Beiming Han stepped into the bathtub, closing his eyes. Gu Qingxin picked up a washcloth from the side and began to help him clean his body.

“Ah Han, is there something wrong?” Gu Qingxin couldn’t help but ask.

Upon hearing her question, Beiming Han suddenly opened his eyes. The sharpness of his gaze startled Gu Qingxin. How long had it been since he’d looked at her like that?

He suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her into the bathtub. Caught off guard, Gu Qingxin fell in, swallowing a mouthful of water. She quickly lifted her head, coughing from the shock.
