Chapter 198: The Green Dragon Tribe

Golden fireballs appeared suddenly and without warning, slamming into the four spirit will-level werewolves and the bat swarms that nearly enveloped the entire city.

Caught off guard, the spirit will-level werewolves in the air were smashed to the ground, and those on the ground were directly flattened. In four different directions around Varian, fiery craters, whose bases had begun to crystallize, formed almost simultaneously. At the bottom of each crater lay werewolves of various postures, their fur charred black.

The bat swarms that had covered Varian and obscured all moonlight and starlight were also hit by four additional gigantic explosive fireballs, creating huge gaps and allowing the moonlight to fall once again. All bats caught in the blast were turned to ash, ceasing to exist.

However, it was only a moment before the moonlight was obscured again as the surrounding bats quickly filled the gaps. The sudden appearance of the fireballs caught the four blood clan marquises off guard, each losing thousands of bat incarnations and suffering minor damage to their vitality.

But that was it. Being of spirit will level themselves, even with significant innate differences between races, a surprise attack was unlikely to be instantly fatal. The gap between the upper blood clan and the dragon species wasn't so vast that a single surprise attack could result in an instant kill.

The werewolves hit by Kaslana's surprise attack and turned into craters all managed to get up. Their charred fur and necrotic muscle and skin rapidly fell off, with new muscle and fur growing quickly, restoring their formidable appearances.

One of the ambushed werewolves howled in rage, "Dawn Watcher! The world does not consist only of your kind, golden dragons. Do you really think one dragon can protect the demon-hunting knight?"

"Just a few filthy creatures of evil." At the top of the city's protective dome, a golden-haired lady with a staff stepped forward, her noble and elegant golden dragon shadow emerging behind her, her dragon's presence dispersing all surrounding bats.

"Kaslana!" A blood clan marquis murmured her name with evident dread on his face. A golden dragon of her caliber, especially one known for her prodigious magical prowess among golden dragons, was almost too much for them and the werewolves combined.

With her presence, they indeed had little else to contemplate, but unfortunately, this golden dragon had been too conspicuous upon her arrival in the city, giving them time to prepare. Had she remained hidden from the start, they, as they were now, would have had no choice but to retreat.

A long, tyrannical roar of a dragon echoed, not far from Varian, on a hillside. A vast teleportation light appeared, shooting a massive pillar of light into the sky, within which a fiery red dragon silhouette spiraled before taking flight toward Varian.

"The genius of the golden dragon kind, Dawn Watcher, Kaslana! I've heard your name so often my ears are about to grow calluses. Today, I finally have the chance to fight you."

A hundred-meter-long red dragon spread its wings, its tyrannical and fierce dragon's might sweeping across, making countless lower-ranking werewolves following the spirit will-level werewolves cower. The weaker ones ignited into flames and turned to ash under the red dragon's unrestrained power.

"The Crimson Calamity, Ottraleus! See, Dawn Watcher, we werewolves have brought this red dragon as your opponent. What do you think?"

How to confront a powerful dragon? Simple, spend money to hire an opposing and even more powerful dragon.

"An elderly red dragon." Seeing the red dragon brazenly displaying its power, surrounded by flames and fully unleashing its domain of conflagration, Kaslana frowned slightly.

The Crimson Calamity was a notorious evil dragon, just a step away from legend. Unless a legendary being intervened, it was invincible under normal circumstances.

Facing such a peak spirit will-level elderly red dragon was a serious matter for her, too, as she was only at the fourth order of spirit will and hadn't advanced to the peak. Even golden dragons fighting red dragons of the same age typically had the upper hand, but now, there was a gap in their ages.

"Wow, you werewolves actually went all out to bring a spirit will-level red dragon to help? You really spared no expense."

"The Scarlet Wings, Ottraleus, one of the strongest evil dragons in Ionia below legend. How about that?" A werewolf looked somewhat proudly at the surrounding bats, "We werewolves have brought such a powerful evil dragon to counter the golden dragon. Surely, your blood clan hasn't just been sitting idly by?"

"Don't lump us blood clan with you ignorant, poor werewolves!" Near the boasting werewolf, hundreds of bats condensed into the figure of a slender young girl, looking disdainfully at the proud spirit will-level werewolf.

"What's there to be proud of in bringing a red dragon? Look at what we've brought to counter the golden dragon!"

Roars filled the air. Amidst the stunned gazes of several spirit will-level werewolves, a large spatial teleportation vortex abruptly appeared in the center of the blood clan marquis's bat swarm, rapidly forming from nothing.

Then, a green dragon, not much smaller than the Crimson Calamity, squeezed through the portal, followed by a procession of green dragons of varying sizes. In no time, over thirty verdant dragon shadows spiraled in the sky above Varian.

"The blood clan actually..." Seeing the sky filled with green dragon shadows, all werewolves, including the spirit will-level ones, were dumbfounded. No one expected the blood clan to go to such lengths.

"Just invited an entire tribe of green dragons, nothing surprising." Seeing the astonished look in the werewolf's eyes, the blood-eyed young girl-shaped blood clan marquis felt a surge of pleasure, casually stating with a calm demeanor.

"You..." Hearing the boasting tone of the blood clan, the spirit will-level werewolf's eyes reddened with anger. He looked at the allies his tribe had brought, the imposing and fearsome red dragon now seeming somewhat lonely and pitiful in comparison.

"Such a lot of chromatic dragons." On a rooftop in Varian, a black-haired, golden-eyed young man looked up at the dragon shadows in the sky, murmuring softly. Behind him, the shadows of nine divine weapons flickered, as if ready to materialize and strike at the sky.
