Dracotitán

Chapter 3: The Name of Titan

Standing in front of a nearly ceiling-high mirror in a room shimmering with light,Joseph looked at the reflection of the huge figure in the mirror, silent.

His fair chubby face looked tender as if squeezing it could wring out water.

His shoulder-length pure black hair cascaded down, with a pair of pale golden dragon horns stretching back among the strands, silently showcasing the noble bloodline and non-human identity of their owner.

The slightly chubby infantile body made the silk pajamas bulge, and a pair of broad golden dragon wings stretched out from the specially made gaps in the pajamas. Below the robe-like pajamas, a spear-tip shaped tail covered in golden scales swayed back and forth.

"How big have I grown now, Sofia?" Suddenly,Joseph lowered his head to look at the golden-haired maid standing quietly behind the infant, asking her.

"Muria Young Master, you have now grown to five meters. According to the standards of the titan race, you have passed the infant stage and entered the toddler stage. According to the standards of the dragon race, you are now in the young dragon stage," the golden-haired girl with fine golden scales on her cheeks answered respectfully.

"Is that so? That means I have been in this world for almost five years."Joseph commented with a hint of emotion, then turned his body to look down at the dragonkin girl, Sofia, who barely reached the middle of his thigh.

Sofia, a dragonkin girl who would be considered tall compared to ordinary humans, appeared very small next toJoseph at this time. The golden dragon mother, Artelis Elonath, specially assigned this dragonkin maid to take care of her dragonkin maid leader. Naturally, she was too small compared toJoseph now. Of course,Joseph had no such thoughts of disdain because, for the past five years, Sofia and a group of dragonkin maids had taken very good care of him, making her a very competent maid.

To be honest,Joseph had been in this world for five years but had never left this shimmering room, as most of his time was spent sleeping, and the time he was awake was all spent eating.

It's not that he didn't want to go out, but his body simply didn't allow him to do anything other than eat.

So, for him, Sofia, who led the dragonkin maids, was someone who had raised him.

After all, golden dragons, or all dragons, are inherently very lazy. Expecting them to care for their children as diligently as ordinary human mothers, from diapers to feeding, is simply impossible.

However, the golden dragon mother was relatively better among many dragon mothers. After all, she arranged a team of dragonkin maids specifically to take care of him and handle his eating and drinking.

"Sofia, take me out for a walk. I haven't even toured my mother's castle,"Joseph said, looking towards the door, his eyes filled with longing and curiosity.

"Of course, Muria Young Master." The golden-haired maid Sofia obediently walked to the room's door, preparing to lead the way. "Please follow me, Artelis's castle is very large."

"Muria, huh!"Joseph muttered, having heard the dragonkin maids call him by this name for five years. This was his true name, while the name from his previous life,Joseph, had not been mentioned for five years, and he had almost forgotten it.

"Ye Tianrui belongs to my previous life as a human, and that life has ended. The nameJoseph no longer needs to be used. Now, I am the son of a titan and a dragon, Muria Iapetos Elonath, and this will be the name I use now and in the future."

With a curious look on his face,Joseph followed Sofia's steps, beginning to tour the crystal castle he had lived in for five years.

Muria followed Sofia, his eyes constantly scanning every corner he passed, like Liu Lao Lao entering the Grand View Garden, broadening his horizons.

This castle is built of various colored crystals, each part shimmering with dazzling colors, making Muria almost wonder if he was in a fairy tale.

Although it was built with precious crystal stones, the castle does not appear small. On the contrary, it is very grand and majestic, showing off an air of extravagance everywhere.

With Muria's current size walking in the castle's corridors, he still felt a sense of spaciousness, and along the way, Muria was certain he had not repeated any section of the path, leading him to believe that if not for following Sofia closely, he would definitely get lost in the castle. This shows how vast the layout of the castle is.

"My mother is really rich!" This was Muria's only thought along the way. "It's a pity that even if it's a single piece of brick or stone, I can't move it. This belongs to my legendary golden dragon mother, Artelis Elonath's private dragon property. Even as her biological son, I have nothing to do with a single copper plate."

Thinking this, Muria's mood began to darken. Just at this moment, Muria saw an exhibit in a hallway that left him utterly dumbfounded, and his thoughts went wild.

Since Muria stepped out of his room for the first time, he was initially stunned by the collections his golden dragon mother placed throughout the castle: precious enchanted swords, luxurious magic armor, priceless heritage art pieces, rare and powerful creature corpses, all leaving him dumbfounded.

Although Muria did not know the origins or values of most of the collections, it did not prevent these golden dragon collections from giving him a strong visual impact. At least he knew one thing: all these things were damn precious.

Then, Muria got used to it until now, when he saw the collection exhibited in the hallway, leaving him in shock. The expression on his face was unmistakable as he saw the exhibit, prompting Sofia to continue speaking without Muria interrupting.

"What is this thing?"

"This is the Arcane Federation's top alchemical creation, a legendary magic golem giant named Titan."

"Named Titan!" Even with the familiar design, Muria showed a look of disdain. "Does this thing even deserve the name?"

Titans, a branch of the many giant races in Elasia, are the most special. Among all giant races, Titans, who wield the power of storms and thunder, are the strongest in every aspect.

Among peers, Titans are the tallest, largest, and strongest. Even with the same size, no other giant can contend with a Titan. To ordinary giants, Titans are gods, objects of worship.

"Indeed, it doesn't deserve the name." Sofia's face showed admiration and longing. "Therefore, your father, the legendary Titan Ansol Iapetos, confronted the Arcane Federation, specifically challenging this arrogant creation named Titan."

Listening to Sofia's explanation, Muria looked at the exhibit in the hall with a V-shaped ornament on its head and eight blue wings on its back, mainly white. The giant magic golem, familiar to Muria from his memories, looked as cool and stylish as ever, but magnified several times more than the original design, leaving Muria even more astonished.

The only downside was the huge through-and-through hole in the chest of the "Gundam," still surrounded by golden thunder to this day, emitting an aura familiar and thrilling to Muria.

"Then, the Titan named by the Arcane Federation was punched through by my father!" Muria continued Sofia's words, stating the outcome of the battle.

Because apart from the chest, this "Gundam" had no other damage, looking as new. The through hole on the chest looked like it was punched out, and the golden thunder clearly belonged to his father, the legacy of the legendary power of thunder.

"Hmm? Wait, that's not right. If this is my father's trophy, why is it in my mother's exhibition hall?" Muria suddenly found an inconsistency.

"Ah, at that time, Artelis the Great accompanied Ansol the Great to the Arcane Federation. After the giant was destroyed, it was collected by Artelis the Great, so it's displayed here," Sofia explained softly.

"Just like that?" Muria looked suspiciously at Sofia. "Even if the giant was disabled, it's still a huge pile of precious magic metals, which could be recycled to create another legendary golem. The Arcane Federation would let my mother take it away?"

Although Muria still had much to learn about this world, he understood some common knowledge through the inheritance of knowledge, such as some world-class powers and precious metals.

On this "Gundam," Muria recognized several types of magic metals that could be used to forge legendary weapons. These metals, no matter where, are strategic resources. How could they allow someone to take them away so easily?

Hearing Muria's question, Sofia was speechless, her face showing embarrassment and blushing. Seeing the maid's reaction, Muria could roughly guess what happened.

Accompanying the powerful strength known to all dragons is their greed for treasures. The "Gundam" made of various precious magic metals is a rare treasure.

One can imagine that when Muria's father, the legendary Titan Ansol Iapetos, punched through the "Gundam," being a world-class creature, he probably cared about his face and wouldn't directly take the "Gundam" away.

After all, his father found them over a name, then destroyed their creation, and taking the remains as a trophy might be a bit embarrassing.

But Muria's mother, a gold dragon known for her greed, didn't care about such things. Between face and treasure, dragons always choose treasure. So, the "Gundam" was taken by his mother.

And the Arcane Federation, as the losing party, probably didn't dare to stop them. The victor has the right to take their spoils, a common rule in Elasia. They, too, have their pride.

"Um, it should be something like this," Muria guessed the situation at that time, thinking it was mostly accurate.
