Dragon Hermit

Chapter 68: Did He Ruin Them?

Yao Shigu was sitting next to a desk with a teacup placed on it. He had already refilled the cup four or five times and the tea had become quite dull. He had forgotten to replace the tea leaves!

After fifteen years, his senior brother’s disciple finally showed up and this said disciple had already mastered One-Knife School’s craft. Yao Shigu had tempered his mind for so many years, yet the appearance of this man still had shaken him. He only wished to see what kind of sculpture his martial nephew, the young Headmaster of One-Knife School, would craft.

“I really can’t accept this, why is the disparity between people so great?” Yao Shigu stood up and paced around in the study room. He couldn’t help but mutter to himself, “I have always diverted my attention to antiques and business, but I have still practiced for dozens of years. Lil Yan has only passed the university’s entrance exam recently, and he has only practiced for ten years, yet he mastered the craft. Is his perception so outstanding?”

Yao Shigu picked up the sculpture of a tiger descending the mountain, and appreciation appeared on his old face.

At this moment, the old man heard the sound of high-heels tapping on the staircase and he couldn’t help but reveal a smile. He was waiting for his eldest granddaughter to knock on his door, yet he heard instead someone knocking heavily on the robust metallic anti-theft door of the workroom opposite him.

“Xia Yan, come out!”

Yao Min got the name of Han Yidao’s disciple from her little sister and she also learned that he was in the workroom. This was why she went upstairs and knocked on the door heavily.

In the workroom, Xia Yan’s meditation got interrupted and he took out his phone to look at the time and he discovered that it was already past 11 am. He didn’t waste a lot of time on crafting the three sculptures on the table, and it was his long meditation that lasted two hours.

Someone was still knocking on the door heavily, and Xia Yan couldn’t help but reveal a confused look. [My Martial Uncle and Yao Ting won’t bother me. So, is the woman outside my Martial Uncle’s eldest granddaughter?]

“This guy still didn’t open the door.” Yao Min knocked on the door heavily and spoke out of displeasure, “He dares to lock the door in other people’s house. He’s too disrespectful. Is this guy trying to steal stuff from Grandpa’s workroom?”

“Sis, don’t shoot your mouth off, Xia Yan isn’t such a despicable person.” Yao Ting quickly tried to cover her sister’s mouth with her hand.

“Go away!” Yao Min blocked her younger sister’s hand. “This is this guy’s first visit. So, why are you speaking for him? Did he beguile you?”

“Yao Min, you are shooting your mouth off again!” Yao Ting’s face got flushed and she spoke indignantly.

“Lil Min, why are you making a fuss?” The study room’s door got opened and Yao Shigu walked out of it.

“Grandpa, I will teach this guy a lesson! He unexpectedly dared to make you kneel to him, he has gone too far overboard!” Yao Min shouted.

“Lil Min, it’s I who…” Yao Shigu revealed a wry smile and was about to explain everything to her, but the workroom’s door got opened. Xia Yan was standing at the door and looking in confusion at Yao Min.

“Lil Yan, did she bother you?” Yao Shigu’s expression turned grave. It would have been a great pity If Lil Yan’s artwork got some deficits because of his granddaughter’s ruckus.

“Nope, Martial Uncle. I have just finished work and was only resting,” Xia Yan explained and looked at Yao Min. He said with a smile, “Miss Min, hello, I’m Xia Yan.”

“How do you know my name?” Yao Min glared at him with malice.

“Sis, it’s I who told him your name,” Yao Ting could only smile wryly. Her big sister always cherished her words like gold and got nicknamed an ice beauty by people and few people knew of her other character at home. She was basically a willful and insensible little girl. This might have been because she felt safe at home and didn’t have to hide her true character.

“Did you finish carving the sculpture?” Delight appeared on Yao Shigu’s face and he walked into the room. He said, “Let me have a look at it… Did you carve three sculptures?”

In this brightly lit room, Yao Shigu noticed with a glance the three objects placed atop the workbench and he cried out in surprise.

“That’s right, Martial Uncle, I forgot to notify you in advance and used up a piece of white nephrite and yellowstone without your permission,” Xia Yan apologized.

“It doesn’t matter, I have already told you to use whatever you want and take this store for your second home. You don’t have to be so reserved!” Anger didn’t appear on Yao Shigu’s face. Instead, surprise and shock were apparent on his face. He rushed into the workroom eagerly because he wanted to see what kinds of sculptures Xia Yan had made in this short period.

The anger of Yao Min, who was standing outside, still didn’t die off. Or rather, she resented Xia Yan a lot more than before.

“Did you use the white nephrite and yellowstone on the second shelf on the right side of the room?” Yao Min followed Yao Shigu into the room and looked at the shelf on the right side. She couldn’t help but get angrier.

“Those were my birthday gifts for Grandpa last year!” Yao Min wished to cry but couldn’t shed any tears. “You have ruined them, this is outrageous!”

“Miss Min, I didn’t know this.” Xia Yan said inwardly, [This is awful! How could I know this? What a twist of fate!]

Yao Ting quickly tried to soothe her sister. “Sis, calm down, Xia Yan’s handcraft is pretty exceptional and he surely didn’t ruin them.”

“You still have the face to say he didn’t ruin them?” Yao Min’s chest heaved up intensely and she looked resentfully at Xia Yan. “He had carved three sculptures in succession in less than half a day. Which great master is so quick and swift? Jade stones and yellowstones are so hard, do you know how much time is needed to process them? Is it possible to finish carving them in such a short period?”

“This is…” Yao Ting was left at a loss for words. Even though she didn’t officially study the carving craft with her grandpa, she still heard a lot about it in the past years and she knew that it was very difficult to carve jade, yet Xia Yan had carved three sculptures in a single morning. He was too quick, and one couldn’t help but suspect that he had done a half-assed job.

“Lil Yan… How did you pull this off?” Yao Shigu suddenly spoke in a trembling voice that didn’t befit an old man at his age.

“Sure enough, he has wasted my white nephrite and yellowstone… Ah!” Yao Min forgot for a moment that she wore high-heels and stamped the ground. She lost her balance and couldn’t help but cry out.

“Sis, be careful!” Yao Ting was startled and she tried to hold her, but she didn’t manage to catch her.

“You should be careful!” Yao Min had fallen toward Xia Yan. The latter sniffed a sweet fragrance and he couldn’t help but reach out with his hand to catch Xia Yan. His hand got hold of something soft, yet hard at the same time, and his fingers sunk in something soft.

This was the first time he had such a marvelous experience, even though he got to touch An Xiaoru’s butt last time when he held her in his arms, and he found it quite enjoyable, but this was a completely different feel.

She was softer, and more enjoyable. He really didn’t want to let go of her!

[Oh by the way, is this hard part her bra?] Xia Yan recalled some common knowledge about women and couldn’t help but sigh. This bra couldn’t hold Miss Min’s ample chest.

While Xia Yan was lost in his imaginations, he suddenly felt a sharp pain from the back of his hand and he couldn’t help but raise his head. Yao Min’s face was flushed and her eyes were raging with anger, while her right hand’s short fingernails were digging into him.

As for Yao Ting, she was dumbstruck and she looked in shock at Xia Yan who held her sister’s ample chest.

Xia Yan finally came back to his senses and he pulled back his hand quickly, while Yao Ting went to support her sister. They were all left at a loss for words!

Even though Yao Min was angry, she couldn’t lash out at Xia Yan because he had only tried to help her and didn’t do it deliberately.

After this awkward episode, Yao Min calmed down. But, she still looked resentfully at Xia Yan and said, “This isn’t the end!”
