Just a few hours later, Garrick, along with others, returned to the Royal Palace. As soon as he returned, he requested an audience with the Emperor through his butler. Shortly after, his butler returned to let Garrick know that the Emperor was waiting for him in his study room. "Your Royal Highness, are you sure you want to do this?" Alfred was worried. As a servant, he did not want his Master to go down this path. After all, Charles was his father. Not only this whole situation would ruin the reputation of the Royal Family but it would also change Garrick. Besides, before serving Garrick, Alfred served Charles. Alfred still had deep respect and admiration for this current Emperor. Alfred felt that because Garrick was too rushed with his judgment, he wasn't ready for the Emperor. As they were walking down the hallway, they saw Soraya entering from the other side, the same direction Garrick and Alfred were headed.

Seeing Soraya, Garrick, and Aflred stopped to talk to her. It has been a while since he last saw his sister. It has been over a week. Garrick, who was regularly used to seeing her, felt that a long time had passed since he hadn't seen his sister. These days, Soraya lives as if she doesn't even exist. She very rarely comes out of her bedroom. The only place that she visits is the library. These days, instead of going there herself, she always sends her maids to pick various books from the library that she is interested in reading. "So you finally decided to come out of your bedroom?" Garrick crossed his arms on his chest and asked his sister with an arrogant smirk. "Good Morning, Brother!!" She totally ignored his words and calmly greeted her. "Good morning!!" "Have you had breakfast?" Garrick asked. Hearing this, Soraya looked puzzled. "Garrick, come in!!!" Charles was sitting on a chair. There was a table in front of him. Charles always thought that regardless of what choice he made, it was enough, and Garrick would accept his decision without uttering even a single word of complaint. Charles suppressed his emotions to not appear displeased in front of Garrick.

"I planned to step down very soon. But the sudden rise of the Istarin Empire has changed all of our plans." In reality, Charles was unwilling to step down.

He loved being on top of millions of people. He loved being in control. And even if he did step down, he would still retain almost all of the powers. Garrick, at most, would end up becoming a puppet that is controlled by Charles. "Why can't I become the Emperor now?" Garrick asked while gritting his teeth. Hearing the change in his son's tone, Charles frowned in displeasure. "You're always like this." Garrick increased his voice. "Since I was young, you constantly fed me the dream of becoming the Emperor. But now that it's time for me to fulfill my destiny, you're being my biggest obstacle. Why is that?" Garrick no longer concealed his anger. 'It seems I was wrong for expecting a change from this idiot.' Charles was equally pissed as Garrick. At that moment, Alfred gently pushed a teacup filled with herbal tea toward Charles. Seeing this tea cup, Charles's gaze became really cold. "Garrick, I will ask you one last time."

"If you do not step down and fall in line, you will face the consequences of your action." However, after coming this far, Garrick wasn't afraid. "I am not afraid. I will stubbornly hold my ground." "That's it!!" Charles stood up. "You are more than 500 years old. You are old enough to understand what you are doing and the consequences of your actions."
