Dragon Roar Master at Hogwarts

Chapter 166: Dumbledore’s response and invitation to the death anniversary party

"You said Goyle and Crabbe have already taken action to find Voldemort's Horcruxes?"

In the principal's office, Dumbledore's face became serious after hearing Dudley's words.

"Hufflepuff's golden cup is very likely to have fallen into their hands. We can no longer sit idly by." Dudley sat in front of Dumbledore and said seriously: "I think I should take action in two directions at the same time - On the one hand, we will search for the Horcruxes one step ahead of them, and on the other hand, we will restrict the movements of Goyle and Crabbe."

"No, Goyle and Crabbe are still just children... They may have just been coerced and bewitched. I can't restrict their freedom just because of what might happen."

Dumbledore directly rejected Dudley's suggestion and his attitude was very firm.

Dudley sighed. Dumbledore was always hesitant in this regard, whether he allowed Draco Malfoy to join the Death Eaters in the original world or in this world.

"Well, I will try my best to keep an eye on them, but regarding the search and destruction of Horcruxes, I need your help." Dudley chose to obey Dumbledore's approach and settle for the next best thing.

The Ravenclaw Diadem, which was supposed to be in the Room of Requirement, and the Slytherin Locket, which was at 12 Grimmauld Place, are both targets that should be preserved as much as possible.

"I understand. I will inform the members of the Order of the Phoenix who are currently at 12 Grimmauld Place to try to find the locket you mentioned." Dumbledore nodded, "But the Ravenclaw diadem... ....I can only inform the administrator, Mr. Filch, to patrol the corridor outside the Room of Requirement more often."

That's all it can do now, but Dudley is worried about who took the crown in advance, and it seems that the person who took the crown and the hooded woman are not in the same camp.

"Don't think too much, Dudley." Dumbledore patted his shoulder kindly and consoled him, "It's been more than a month since school started, and the school is still calm. Maybe in the end it was just a false alarm."

I hope so, but things will never go so smoothly, Dudley thought in his mind.

Over the next few weeks, Dudley began to pay attention to the behavior of Goyle and Crabbe, whom he had not paid much attention to until now, only treating them as Malfoy's pendants.

Filch and his cat caught them several times in the corridor outside the Room of Requirement, greatly disrupting their movements. Seeing their increasing agitation, Dudley felt relieved.

"What have you two been doing lately?" Malfoy looked at Goyle and Crabbe dissatisfied in the Slytherin common room. "I always suddenly find that you are missing, and then I hear that you are on the sixth floor. Caught sneaking around and Filch..."

In the past, Goyle and Crabbe would have been respectful to Malfoy, but, perhaps because of their irritability, today they obviously had no room to disguise their emotions.

"It's none of your business what we do, Malfoy." Goyle replied indifferently: "We are not in a superior-subordinate relationship, so there is no need to report everything to you."

"What...what's your attitude?" Malfoy raised his eyebrows and said displeasedly, "I just care about you as a friend!"

After hearing Malfoy's words, Goyle and Crabbe looked at each other, and the sharp-eyed Dudley noticed the mocking smile in their eyes.

"Oh, yes, of course we are friends, Master Malfoy." Crabbe said in a long and strange tone, "I'm sorry, our family's finances have been in trouble recently, so we are in a bad mood. Master Malfoy, please don't mind."

"I thought it was something serious. I'll go back and talk to Dad to see if I can help your family." Malfoy didn't seem to hear the weirdness in Crabbe's words, and smiled arrogantly, "Don't worry, you guys are My friend, my dad will definitely help.”

As if he noticed Dudley peeking over, Malfoy glared over.

Dudley shrugged, turned his head and continued chatting with Pansy beside him. After confirming that Goyle and Crabbe had not succeeded yet, Dudley felt relieved.

"It's obviously Dudley who gave you the Seeker position. Malfoy should thank you." Pansy pouted unhappily at the side, "Why is his attitude towards you still so bad?"

"I guess he thought that by accepting what I gave him, he lost his prestige in front of the followers." Dudley sighed and shook his head, "So he blamed me for the indifference of the two followers towards him. It’s over my head.”

"It's unreasonable..." Pansy muttered softly, complaining for Dudley.

"Let's not talk about it for now. Harry and I have made an appointment to meet in the restaurant. Do you want to come with us?" Dudley stood up and invited Pansy.

Pan Xi smiled sweetly and was about to stand up, but suddenly her body swayed slightly, and then she held her forehead in discomfort.

"What's wrong, Pansy, are you feeling unwell?"

"It's nothing... maybe it's because the weather has turned colder and I accidentally caught a cold." Pansy said softly, "I'm going to take a rest in the dormitory today. Dudley, you can go by yourself."

Seeing Pansy's back walking weakly down the stairs, Dudley felt a little heavy and worried in his heart.

He became more and more worried about whether Pansy had come into contact with a certain Horcrux, but without any evidence it was impossible to question her directly, so he had to try his best to make insinuations.

I hope I'm just overthinking it, Dudley thought as he arrived at the Hogwarts restaurant alone.

When he walked into the dining room, he saw that besides the Harry trio, Fleur and Qiu Zhang were all here at the Gryffindor table, seeming to be discussing something animatedly.

"Although this sounds interesting, Harry, will Mr. Nick be unhappy if you invite us too?" Qiu Zhang looked at Harry with some worry.

"It's okay, Nearly Headless Nick told me that the more living people attending, the more respect I will have." Harry looked a little blushing when he spoke to Qiu, "But the time coincides with the Halloween party..."

"Will Miss Delacour attend?" Ron looked at Fleur nervously. "You also think this kind of banquet to commemorate death is a bit boring, right?"

"My word... Although I am also very interested in the Hogwarts Halloween Party -" Fleur suddenly turned her head and looked at Dudley who was walking over with a smile, "But I am also very curious about this party. If Dudley goes, I'll go with him."

"What happened? Why did you blame me?" Dudley smiled and sat next to Fleur.

"Harry just received an invitation from Nearly Headless Nick, saying that he will hold his 500th death anniversary party on Halloween." Hermione looked very interested, "You can come too, Dudley, I bet there are not many It must be amazing that anyone alive can say they have been to such a party!”
