NOVEL SIMPLE 8 Pawn pieces drop to the ground!
I have woken up in Venelana's bedroom which she told me to treat as my own. It is four times larger than my Japanese style room I have. Now that room will just be my harem room. While the two of us were getting ready for the day, we had the Devil TV on and while drinking my morning coffee I saw some news that kinda surprised me but did not at the same time......
It seems that Lady Phenex has already made a move on one of the morning shows that their family runs announcing Ravel's and My wedding. Questions like "Will this wedding happen?" and "Why are the Phenex and the Gremory trying so hard to be married?" And Lady Phenex elegantly answers them all along with Riser at her side agreeing to this engagement. Well I can tell in his face he does not want me and his sister to get married.
Watching at my side Venelana says,"Don't worry husband, our wedding will only spread among the nobility and not the common folk like this announcement. I know you still have some of your human world sensibility to work through, and I am here for you." I just kissed her for her concern about my feelings.
I tell her,"After I deal with the promotion testing, I will bring you to my parents and tell them most everything about us. I will not hide you and I want everyone to know how much I love you! I am a lustful devil but I love each of you! I truly don't care what others think of me, as long as you are happy!"
We both head out for the day and I come across my peerage waiting for me in the living area and they all come to me. The first thing I do is pull Koneko into my arms for a tight hug and pat her back. I give Ravel the 'give us some space' look and she nods to me understanding.
I lift her chin and smile at her then say,"You are and will be my number one white kitty regardless of who is at my side! I am not saying you have to feel good about it, but at least try and get along with her for me?" I just lean over her and kiss her lips and smile.
Koneko is super embarrassed that I would kiss her in front of everyone and says,"I will, but I don't like it! She hogs my lap." I see that she expected this outcome and is sad she has to share me with Ravel, but I can tell she is happy I took the time to talk to her, even if it's in public.
After making sure I have no harem dumpster-fires burning, I just spend the whole Saturday with my girls doing fun activities like dancing and playing the piano for them. It was a peaceful night and the thing that surprised me the most....... Venelana invited Grayfia into our bed for the three of us to sleep! Venelana told me it was because she and Grayfia are now sisters-in-law and noble devils, so this is not a shame for her to share the bed with Grayfia.

I am standing on a stone floor that stretches beyond what you can see. The sky is that of the Dimensional Gap. I am standing in place, frozen unable to move from the place I am standing like my feet are glued to the spot.
Twenty feet away from me is my friend Issei standing there looking sick. He has some black patches on his skin and he has a sad smile on his face. Is this a trial dream I am having?
Issei says to me,"Thanks for showing up at the end brother. I did it, I managed to save her! Do me a favor Mat?!" While Issei is talking to me his body is slowly turning to ash like something is eating away at his body slowly. I am unable to talk like in my dream with Yasaka! I can't feel my body but I know I am crying. Even without my powers I can see he is going to die....
He keeps smiling and talking to me,"Please take care of my mom and dad alright, they will be sad when I am gone. They wanted a son so much. Tell them I died saving a girl, and all the children. Also please take care of my baby alright! Tell my kid that I died saving the underworld like a true hero." Even more of his body is fading, and his torso is floating even though half of his legs turned to ash and blew away.
He says,"Hey Matsuda, can you make sure my girls don't do anything stupid when I am gone? Also don't make them your lovers alright, ha-ha!" Not much is left of him now as he tries to say everything he wants before he is truly gone... Why won't he tell me how he is dying or who killed him?!
His last words are,"I am glad that you and Motohama were my friends growing up, and I wish we could have............." Then all of his body disintegrated, leaving 8 Pawn pieces to drop to the ground and clatter lifelessly. I could say nor do anything but cry. Is this happening now like Yasaka or is this the future? Or is this a stupid trial? My heart feels heavy and I don't like this one bit.......
I feel the world around me shatter and fall to pieces as I can feel my body again..........
I noticed both Grayfia and Venelana are both shaking me awake and looked worried at me. I just say nothing for a moment looking at the ceiling of the bed and I notice my face is wet from crying. So I sit up and wipe my face with the sheet and can now hear properly.
Grayfia asks me,"Mat was it another bad dream? Are you alright now?" She is looking in my eyes and rubbing my back.
Venelana hands me a glass of water and I drink it,"Dear what's going on? We woke to hear you mumbling and the tears in your eyes would not stop and you looked devastated?" She too looks worried.
I say,"My friend is going to die......." The two women just look shocked at my words, and I immediately make a magic circle to call Issei.....
[Sup bro, what is going on? Damn it is early! I know it's the day of the test, so you did not have to wake me! Shit man it's early....]
I just try and stay calm and say,"As long as you're good, then getting up early for the test is fine right, ha-ha?!" I don't want to tell him about my dream in case it was only a dream.
[If you got nothing I am going back to sleep.......]
I tell him,"Issei as your King, I am giving you an order......."

I lied,"I had a vision that if you don't say 'I love you' to your parents and your lovers, you will fail the promotion test, but if you tell them then you are going to pass no matter what! Sorry Issei, that is how fate works, so get up now and do it! It's an order!"

The circle fades and I feel bad and my tears won't stop..............
For a while no one said anything while my two wives just held me tight. I finally get my heart in order and say,"You two are pregnant and I should not make you worry about me! I will be fine, just don't tell anyone what happened tonight alright? Sorry I think something bad is coming......"
Venelana asks me,"Tell me what to do? I am here for you dear...." Both women look ready for anything, I am so lucky.
I smile tiredly and say,"Be ready to put my evacuation plans into play at a moment's notice. I think the Underworld will be in trouble soon......." I then kissed both women and got out of bed.
"I am taking the girls to the Hotel now to meet up with Rias and Azazel. No matter what happens, I will not forgive you two if you get hurt! I will face the trouble and I want you safe when I return. I love all of you and don't forget it." I then go to the bath to clean and get ready................
Grayfia and Venelana, then continue to talk after I am gone.
Grayfia tells Venelana,"Don't worry he is not going to die, I saw it in his eyes that says he will live just fine, but he never notices when his past lives show themselves with bursts of determination."
Venelana asks,"His past lives? I thought he had no memories of them?" She was intrigued.
Grayfia smiles sadly,"I have been keeping it a secret from him but back during the war, I was shown glimpses of his many lives. How he lived and how he died in each and everyone of them..... He has suffered so much to get here. That is why I fell in love with him. Even his cursed life as a Demon Lord had a sad tale. I will stay at his side forever. Just trust he will love you till the end of our lives. He is such a silly man....." Venelana sees a gentle smile on Grayfia's face and realizes she just heard something life changing.
Venelana then gets up and says,"Well then what are we doing just sitting here? Let's go wash our husbands back, so he can face troubles with a smile, Ufufu!" She just puts on her fighting face due to knowing trouble is on the horizon! Grayfia smiles at her old friend and they head to the baths..........
