...

"It's Zald from the Zeus Familia and Alfia from the Hera Familia."

"Impossible!"

The exclamation came from Riveria, her face etched with an expression Mellie had never seen before.

"The 'Glutton' was said to have perished in the battle against the Behemoth. They were supposed to have died together."

"And the 'Silence' suffers from an incurable illness. Even if she's still alive, she should be nearing her end."

Both Riveria and Finn were intimately familiar with Zald and Alfia. After all, they were once the pinnacle of Orario's strength.

For Finn and Riveria, who aspired to elevate the Loki Familia to even greater heights, Zald and Alfia represented both idols and targets.

Riveria possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of their abilities. As the saying goes, one's greatest enemy often knows them best.

Mellie was unable to answer Riveria's questions. She simply didn't know the answers.

After a moment of stunned silence, Riveria quickly regained her composure.

"Apologies. I lost my composure for a moment," she said, waving her hand dismissively.

Once Riveria calmed down, Finn turned to Mellie and asked, "I've met Mika. Given his age, he shouldn't be acquainted with the Silence and the Glutton."

"How did he confirm their identities? I doubt they would reveal themselves so readily, especially if they're operating in secrecy."

"It doesn't seem like something they would do."

"Actually, Mika knew Alfia. His parents were adventurers in the Hera Familia," Mellie revealed without hesitation.

She had Mika's permission to share this information.

"A descendant of the Hera Familia? That explains it!"

Finn, Riveria, and Loki all looked surprised.

Mika's heritage was indeed significant. In other worlds, he would be considered royalty, a descendant of a fallen empire.

In Orario, still reeling from the downfall of the Zeus and Hera Familias and the subsequent descent into the Dark Age, this revelation would undoubtedly be met with shock and awe.

In these perilous times, with the constant threat of the dark factions and the ever-present risk of death, both the citizens of Orario and the adventurers of the various Familias longed for the stability and security provided by the two former powerhouse Familias.

"Mika carries a shield emblazoned with the Hera Familia's crest. That's how Alfia recognized him during his patrol, leading to Mika uncovering their identities."

"I see."

Closing his eyes, Finn replayed the scene in his mind, quickly assessing the veracity of the information.

"It seems Mika's report is accurate."

"This clarifies the dark faction's recent actions. They intend to engage us in a decisive battle."

"Relying on Zald and Alfia, who are nearing their end."

Finn's brow furrowed as he began tapping his fingers on the table, a look of deep concern etched on his face.

"Facing Zald and Alfia... how can we possibly overcome such odds?"

He fell into deep thought.

Seeing Finn's contemplative expression, Riveria and Loki knew he had entered his strategic planning mode.

"Let's leave him be. We shouldn't interrupt his thoughts," Riveria whispered to Mellie before leading her and Loki out of Finn's office.

"Thank you for the information, Mellie!" Riveria said gratefully. "This intel is crucial for us."

"If we had encountered them unaware, we would have suffered heavy casualties."

"But do we even stand a chance against them?" Mellie asked anxiously.

"They're the 'Glutton' and the 'Silence'! Fighting them is a suicide mission!"

Riveria fell silent, her expression grim.

No one in Orario understood the terror of Zald and Alfia better than they did.

Just as Mellie had feared, where in Orario could they find individuals capable of matching their power?

"Let's hope they are merely reminiscing about the past," Riveria said, trying to convince herself.

...

"Is that so? That's what they said, huh?" Mika asked calmly, carefully examining the short sword in his hands.

"The 'Glutton' and the 'Silence'... I wonder if Finn can devise a strategy to counter them," Mellie mused.

With their current strength vastly inferior to their opponents, Orario's only hope rested on the wisdom of Finn Deimne.

This was a battle of wits.

"Do you think he can come up with something?" Airmid asked.

"It'll be difficult. There's an old saying, 'Brute force conquers all.'"

"Indeed. Against opponents like Zald and Alfia, we can't even hope to outmaneuver them."

"That's why we need to continue improving our strength," Mika concluded, placing the short sword on the table.

Mellie nodded in agreement, picking up the sword and examining it closely.

"This is your latest creation, right? Excellent craftsmanship!"

Upon reaching Level 3, Mika had chosen "Blacksmith" as his development ability.

During his time in Orario, apart from training and studying, he had also dedicated himself to honing his blacksmithing skills.

His relentless efforts had yielded remarkable results.

He was now among the few Level 3 blacksmiths in Orario.

"It's still not enough. I aspire to create weapons on par with legendary blades. I'm still a long way from achieving that goal," Mika said with a determined glint in his eyes.

Mellie rolled her eyes playfully.

"You're truly insatiable. You want to master everything. It seems your most pressing issue is your lifespan."

"Otherwise, it would be tragic if you didn't manage to reach your full potential in any field before your time runs out."

Mika flicked Mellie's forehead playfully.

"Don't jinx me!"

"Ouch!"

Blowing on his finger, Mika sat back on the sofa and asked Mellie seriously, "How are the preparations coming along?"

"Everything is complete!" Mellie replied, her expression turning serious as the conversation shifted to a more important topic.

"Good."

"After all, we depart tomorrow!"

---

With a flash of light, Mika and his three companions materialized in a narrow alley.

“We're back!” Mellie exclaimed, gazing at the towering structure that pierced the sky in the distance. "No matter how many times I see it, Heavens Arena is always so impressive."

"Indeed. This structure might even surpass the Tower of Babel. The creativity of the children of Earth never ceases to amaze me," Gabriel remarked.

"That's why the gods choose to remain on Earth instead of returning to Heaven," Mika concluded.

This was the same alley where Mika, Mellie, and Airmid had departed from during their previous visit.

Once again, Mika manipulated the flow of time upon their arrival, but this time, he proceeded with greater caution, learning from his previous experience.

He fine-tuned the adjustments with meticulous precision.

"Mellie, where did you put your phone last time?" Mika asked, turning to Mellie, who was busy explaining the world to Gabriel.

"Oh, my phone? Hold on, let me see..."

Mellie retraced her steps and began feeling along the nearby wall, her fingers searching for something specific.

Then, she pried loose a brick from the wall.

"Found it!"

She retrieved the phone from its hidden compartment and handed it to Mika with a grin.

Mika turned on the phone, his eyes scanning the displayed date. The tension that had been etched on his face slowly dissipated.

"July 18th. It seems my time adjustments were successful this time."

"I've finally mastered that ability."

"Who doesn't enjoy a good feast during the New Year? Perhaps it was just luck," Mellie teased, a playful smile dancing on her lips.

Mika glared at Mellie, a pout forming on his face. "Mellie, you've been quite contrary lately."

Ever since their shared learning experience in the dream world, Mellie had developed a habit of teasing Mika.

"I'm just trying to motivate you," she replied with a wink.

"Well, thank you very much!"

Gabriel and Airmid chuckled, watching the playful banter between Mika and Mellie.

"What are you laughing at?" Mellie asked.

"Of course we're laughing at how close you two are!" Airmid replied with a warm smile.

Gabriel nodded in agreement.

Although Mika and Mellie had always shared a close bond, fighting side-by-side, there had been a subtle distance between them, likely due to Mellie's reverence for Mika as her chosen hero.

But after their return from the Type-Moon world, that gap had vanished.

"I don't know what happened, but I really like how close you two are now," Airmid said, clasping her hands together happily.

Mika and Mellie, who had been teasing each other just moments before, abruptly stopped, tacitly agreeing to change the subject.

"If I remember correctly, you agreed to meet in Yorknew City, right?" Mika asked.

"That's right!"

While Mika trained in Nen with Netero, Airmid and Mellie had gone to Killua's family home to bring him along.

They agreed to rendezvous in Yorknew City.

"Yorknew City… I mentioned it before, right? On September 1st, there's a world-famous, large-scale auction held there. All sorts of valuable items are sold at that auction."

"Let's buy some interesting souvenirs there as a memento!" Mellie suggested excitedly.

"That's a great idea! After all, the purpose of this trip is to train using the accelerated time in this world. Enjoying a leisurely trip while training isn't a bad idea," Gabriel agreed.

"It's settled then," Airmid chimed in.

"In that case, let's sell some gold or other precious metals to get some money. That way, we won't have to worry about finances when we arrive in Yorknew City."

"How about we buy a campervan and drive to Yorknew City, training and sightseeing along the way?"

"Perfect! It's decided."

Airmid, Mellie, and Gabriel all responded enthusiastically to Mika's suggestion.

...

"Pair of Aces!"

"Pass."

"Pass."

"Pass."

"A three. I win!"

Airmid placed the three card on the table and jumped up excitedly.

“Airmid's luck is incredible! She always gets such good hands!” Mellie grumbled, gathering the remaining cards and shuffling the deck.

Her face was already covered in small paper strips.

“It’s not luck; it’s skill!” Airmid retorted with a smirk, placing another paper strip on Mellie's face before sticking two more on Mika and Gabriel's faces.

Mika and Gabriel could only accept their punishment with resigned sighs.

They were currently en route to Yorknew City in a luxurious campervan, equipped with every amenity imaginable.

The vehicle was driven by a puppet crafted by Gabriel.

Thanks to the automated driver, Mika and his companions could relax, play games, and enjoy the peace and quiet.

"You know, if it weren't for Mika, even with the campervan, we wouldn't be able to reach Yorknew City by September 1st."

"His Nen transformation ability is incredibly useful," Mellie commented as she placed the shuffled deck on the table.

“However, didn't you exchange too much money, Mika? A hundred billion Jenny is a lot. We’re already being targeted by the local mafia.”

She recalled the annoyance of having their leisure time interrupted by mafia members a few days prior.

"It's just a hundred billion Jenny. If they could have handled more cash, I would have exchanged even more. How else are we supposed to enjoy a proper shopping spree in Yorknew City?"

Jenny was the currency used in the Hunter x Hunter world.

In Mika's opinion, one hundred billion wasn't much.

After all, its purchasing power was far less than ten billion in his previous world's currency, perhaps even less than five billion.

The currency in this world simply had larger denominations.

Even in Heavens Arena, Killua had to pay 152 Jenny for a bottle of juice.

"How could one hundred billion not be enough?!" Airmid exclaimed, mistakenly equating Jenny with Valis.

"Well, what if I told you a single video game costs 8.6 billion Jenny?"

"8.6 billion for a game?!"

Not only Airmid, but even Mellie and Gabriel were shocked by the exorbitant price.

That was absurd!
