Eternity Starts From His Seed

Chapter 18: Triggering Content

Sitting in Manager Qin’s polished wooden chair, Bubai still reveled in the WeiWei’s speech thanks to the precise vocabulary she used. The oral explanation he received was truly impeccable.

Even with Manager Qin's dried corpse sprawling on the ground nearby, left by the demoness as an unspoken threat, Bubai remained undeterred, still finding enjoyment in this unsightly situation.

Well, not that there was much he could do.

Manager Qin, the former strongest cultivator on the farm, was already dead. Bubai certainly didn’t have the strength to escape.

After a careful assessment, Bubai concluded that the danger of his situation wasn't as imminent as he had feared. As long as he kept this little villain beneath him satisfied, his life would remain intact.

As for when her demands exceeded his capacity, Bubai reasoned he would deal with it when the time came. After all, the days are long, as long as he has life still pulsing through his veins, there will always be opportunities for a comeback.

He had already endured for eight years in the Cloud Sword Sect, bowing under the skirt of a woman will not defeat his immortal will.

Still, despite his fate seemingly resting in her hands, there were aspects of his masculinity he was unwilling to relinquish. Some boundaries must be pushed to preserve his dominance in the situation, increasing the room he has to work with.

Standing up, Bubai firmly locked her head in place...

...

Bubai reached for a bowl of cooked spirit rice on the wooden desk, long shifted forward to make space, and consumed the nutritious qi-infused rice hastily like a starving ghost.

Even the pleasure brought from the follow-up cleaning session couldn’t distract him from his food!

After licking clean the bowl, he looked up at the ceiling of the study, drawing a wisp of green qi for recovery without any reluctance because he knew he would accumulate even more after digesting the bowl of spirit rice he ate.

Now, this was the life – both delicious food and beauty at his beck and call.

Of course, these privileges came with conditions – a bowl of rice granted per release.

This seemingly favorable arrangement was most likely a temporary lure, strategically offered during their initial transactions to entice Bubai into the sinful abyss.

As time unfolds, the output from his workload would likely outweigh the rewards.

Manager Qin's hidden stash of spirit rice wasn’t infinite, and the returns from the farm would also dwindle, particularly with the intensified work schedule requiring the mortals to toil across multiple fields in rotation – an exception being Bubai himself.

While this technically increased productivity, it risked compromising the overall quality due to overwork, possibly leading to a decline in both harvest and next season’s contract renewals. The lack of Manager Qin’s routine spirit rain will also lead to a downgrade in the quality of the harvest.

Furthermore, the discovery of Manager Qin's absence might prompt others, faced only with a seemingly helpless young woman in charge, to succumb to greed and pilfer the harvested spirit rice to fill their own pockets.

Needless to say, the result of this would ultimately be them transforming into dry husks, reducing the number of workers further.

These looming issues held significant consequences that could blow up at any moment, but Bubai didn’t care.

His philosophy was to relish the enjoyment while it lasted and prepare a way out for when the time came.

Gazing at the remaining bowl of cold rice on the wooden desk, Bubai knew he still needed to work hard.

...

Night. Bubai emerged from Manager Qin’s residence, his face pale.

One hand supporting his waist, he absently patted his slightly plump belly, “My goodness. How does she maintain her tightness after being pumped so many times? And I couldn’t resist doing a few extras, what a loss!”

The sensations from each of her playstyles were so intoxicating that he almost lost himself. If not for regaining his self-awareness, triggered by his ‘golden finger’, he might have continued indulging until the break of dawn.

Glancing upward, Bubai discerned the full moon veiled by cloudy mist. "Almost midnight. I should be able to make it in time."

Making his way to his hut, Bubai retrieved a dirty pouch from his bed. Reaching into the half-open gap, he pulled out five buns into the empty pouch, filling the small pouch. Tying it up, Bubai left the hut, heading towards the forest.

During the walk, he felt the spirit rice digesting slowly in his stuffed stomach. He was full, but it came with too much risk. And… he decided it would be best some things came to an end. It was better, for both parties.

Delving deep into the forest, he arrived at the designated meeting spot. After scanning the dark surroundings, Bubai called out softly, "Little beggar, you there?"

The forest hushed into silence as the cool night breeze brushed against his skin. After a brief pause, just as Bubai contemplated leaving, a hurried voice stopped him. "I-I’m here."

Bubai turned to see the dirty child peeking from behind a tree. With a warm smile, he approached, handing over the pouch of buns. "Here, eat."

The little beggar eagerly accepted the pouch, opening it and reaching inside. After retrieving a bun, he hesitated before turning towards Bubai. "There’s more this time?"

Bubai nodded, his smile fading as he looked away in contemplative silence.

As if grasping the unspoken message, the little beggar clutched the bun tightly. "Why... you promised…"

Bubai sighed, extending his hand to tousle the kid’s disheveled hair. "Sorry. But I can’t even protect myself right now… it’s best you go."

The little beggar looked up, his eyes glinting as he softly inquired, "Do you need me to help?"

Bubai shook his head. "Don’t do stupid things. It’s best if you just forget about me."

The little beggar bit his lips, bowing his head. He raised his thin, dirt-stained arm to wipe away the tears. "I understand."

Then, he looked up, mustering a cheerful smile once more. "So, want to hear the recent news?"

Bubai smiled, squatting down beside the little beggar. "Tell me."

"You’ll be shocked by how many big people came to Ling City…"

The little beggar squatted down beside him, taking a bite of the bun, and began recounting the most talked-about recent events, briefly detailing the numerous sects and clans that had converged on Ling City.

Although he didn't delve into intricate details about each faction, the information provided gave Bubai a general overview of the influential figures and forces in play.

The Cloud Sword Sect versus the Sun Furnace Sect, with many of the arriving clans a subsidiary under these two big sects.

Then, there were other clans, such as the Snow Lotus Clan, a branch of the relatively more distant Millennial Lotus Alchemy Sect.

Bubai recognized some and learned new details, making him quite content with this final transaction.

However, towards the end, the little beggar dropped a name that left Bubai shocked. "You’re saying the unknown young man who challenged Mo Tianren is actually named Fang Bubai?!"

"Yeah. It took a lot of effort to find this out. I even traded a couple of saved buns before I got my hands on this news. Surprised?" the little beggar boasted proudly.

Bubai furrowed his brows. Coincidence? "Are you sure his name is Fang Bubai?"

"Uh huh. Fang as in put, Bu as in no, and Bai, the Bai same as white. The senior explained it in the same way. I can’t be wrong."

Hearing the little beggar’s final clarification, Bubai inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. How could there be such a coincidence? The pronunciation was uncomfortably close to his own name,  but it was not a match.

This shouldn’t bring him any trouble, moreover so since he is using a pseudonym.

Securing the pouch with the remaining buns, the little beggar joyfully swung it in his hand. "That should be it. It was nice working with you, big brother." Bubai smiled, turning away to head back to the farm, his hand waving in the air to bid farewell. "Go now, little beggar. Don’t come back."

"Don’t worry, I know what to do!"

As Bubai strolled through the dark forest, he soon found the familiar trail.

Yet, just as he was about to follow the path, his keen ears caught a faint, muffled cry from the depths of the forest behind him.

Frowning, Bubai hesitated for a moment before propelling himself off the ground, rushing back into the darkness.

Less than a minute later, he returned to the exchange site and widened his eyes in shock.

There was the little beggar again, but this time, his feet kicked in the air as his neck was held high by a familiar woman’s hand, as if the little beggar's body had no weight.

Sensing Bubai, the young woman turned, wearing her trademark sweet, innocent smile. "Ah… I wanted to do this without Brother Bubai knowing… too bad, I was caught. Hmm… What should WeiWei do?"

Gasping for breath, Bubai huffed, commanding, "WeiWei, let him go."

"Hmm. Brother Bubai wants WeiWei to let this little brat go." WeiWei's gaze fixed on the little beggar in her hands, and her grip seemed to tighten with her words. "Could it be that Brother Bubai cares about him?"

"No-" Bubai furrowed his brows, gritting his teeth. "Just let him go, WeiWei. He has nothing to do with me from now on. You are the only one for me."

Hearing his words, WeiWei's face brightened, and her grip loosened. "Hehe. Really?"

"Really," Bubai affirmed seriously.

"Hmm… Okay." WeiWei released her grip, and the little beggar dropped to the ground, gasping for air and looking up at the woman with fear.

Bubai breathed a sigh of relief, ordering with a stern face. "Little beggar, go. Now."

Upon hearing his words, the frightened little beggar hastily reached for his pouch on the ground. WeiWei's eyes followed his hand, fixating on the dirty pouch of buns.

Just as the little beggar staggered to his feet, WeiWei's innocent voice echoed in the forest, "On second thought…"

Snap. At that moment, Bubai seemed to hear something break inside of him.
