Evil Husband, Glutton Wife: Buy Miss Piggy, Get Free Little Buns

Chapter 236 Yan Qiuyu 2

236 Yan Qiuyu 2

The devil slipped out of the car with a cane on one hand before settling himself on his chair, before allowing Tang Moyu to spread the blanket he brought to cover his lap.

"I'll be fine, Moyu. Don't think too much. Nothing bad would happen to me."

Although his recovery was going well these past weeks, and he was able to make small steps without dragging his whole body and weight, Tang Moyu didn't want him to overexert himself today by walking alongside her.

Feng Tianyi couldn't blame her. A part of him was glad that she wasn't able to see him in a more pathetic state than this. He couldn't imagine how she would feel if she saw him immediately after that life-threatening accident, where he only woke up weeks later because they had to induce him to a medical coma for the surgeries he had to go through.

He had nine surgeries in total as his pelvis was shattered on both sides and so he had three six inches screws on his pelvis and his busted knees… damn, the pain was unbearable the first time he woke up.

After years of not being able to walk properly, years of inactivity, and now trying to regain the ability to walk, Feng Tianyi realized that there were still so many things he wanted to do that he wouldn't be able to if he remained in his wheelchair.

For one, he wanted to be with Tang Moyu. Perhaps, one day, he would be able to ask for her hand and walk with her down the aisle, but that was just too far ahead for now. Even playing with the little buns seemed like a good motivation for him to walk.

They stepped inside the elevator and hit the tenth-floor button. Even if Tang Moyu didn't say anything, Feng Tianyi could sense her nervousness next to him. His hand gave hers a light squeeze, reminding her that she wouldn't be facing this on her own. He refused to let her be alone anymore.

When they reached the tenth floor and reached apartment number 1011, she buzzed the doorbell. They didn't wait for too long as a woman in her late sixties opened the door as if expecting their visit.

The woman looked at Tang Moyu with surprise. But once she had given her face a good look, she turned her attention to the man sitting in the wheelchair.

"Are you Mr. Qin? The one who wants to know about Yu'er?"

"Yes." Feng Tianyi gave her a curt nod before introducing the woman next to him. "This is my wife, Tang Moyu. I suppose you already figured out who she is, judging by your reaction, Lady Lian."

Lian Fang nodded, looked at the hallway before letting her guests inside her home. She'd received a phone call from Mr. Qin's assistant to meet her today about a certain Yan Qiuyu.

"The last time I saw you, you're still a baby. Now, look at you." Lian Fang smiled at her, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Yu'er would be happy to know that her daughter grew up to be a great beauty."

"May I know how you are related to Yan Qiuyu and how come you know about me?" Tang Moyu asked.

"Your mother and I originally came from the same neighborhood of Nanchang in the Jiangxi Province. We grew up together and she's the youngest amongst us. When her grandfather died, Yu'er said she would be moving to Shenzhen to work and save money for her studies. A few years later, she came back to Nanchang with a set of twins with her, but no husband by her side."

Of course, Lian Fang had helped Yan Qiuyu and tried to convince her to seek at least financial support for her twins' sake, but the latter refused.

"It's better for us not to see each other, Sister Fang." Yan Qiuyu murmured. "It's been a year since we broke up. I need to move on… if I don't, Moyu and Lingjun won't have the upbringing they both deserve."

"But Yu'er." Lian Fang wanted to argue, but the look on Yan Qiuyu's face says that it's just impossible. Tang Lixue had an obligation to fulfill for his family and she didn't have the heart to force him to choose between his Tang family and her with their children.

She was a commoner anyway. Their love was doomed to end miserably from the start. Unlike Zhang Wuying, she didn't have a great family to back her up nor to help Tang Lixue save their family business.

While it was unfair for Moyu and Lingjun to grow up without a father, Yan Qiuyu knew that the man she loved was already set to marry another woman even before she met him. The moment she found out that he couldn't be hers, she tried her best to avoid him, but Tang Lixue had insisted on being with her.

She didn't want her children to be entangled in the Tang family's issues or be the cause of the fall of the Tang Enterprise if Tang Lixue refused to honor his engagement with Zhang Wuying.

"It'll get better." Yan Qiuyu assured Lian Fang before pinching her daughter's chubby rosy cheek. "It'll get better… won't it, my dear Moyu?"

That was the last time Lian Fang had seen her alive because the next day, she found out that someone had broken into Yan Qiuyu's home and killed her along with her son. However, it was a miracle that Moyu had been alive after the assault. Perhaps, they hadn't thought that Yan Qiuyu had twins. Apparently they did not even bother to look around after the deed was done, otherwise they would have found another child sleeping in the other room.
