260 No Matter What, You Are My Sisters 2

"You worry too much, Beixuan. It's nothing that I can't deal with." The empress rejected his offer. What change could he make anyway? There was no way in hell that Zhang Wuying would let her be, and she didn't want the old woman to know that she already knew about her birth mother.

Tang Moyu still needed to find out if Yan Qiuyu and Tang Lingjun were involved in some sort of a murder plot or not. She had a nagging feeling that it wasn't a simple break-in that cost her mother and brother's life.

When she was younger, she never understood why Zhang Wuying treated her like that nor why Feng Tianhua had chosen to betray her trust even though she'd tried her best to understand them, especially the latter.

Tang Moyu was never a jealous or an insecure person until she was shown how easy it was for others to throw her away for just about anything.

She used to wonder if she was really an unlovable person that the woman whom she thought was her mother had tried to sell her off as a bride, while the man who was supposed to be her future husband cast her aside once he'd deem her useless and married another woman?

Perhaps, if Tang Moyu hadn't met Feng Tianyi and fallen in love with him, she would never know what it felt like to be loved and to be cared for.

Tang Beixuan fell silent. He still didn't understand why his sister preferred to do everything her way and still refused his help when it's obvious that she needed support. For once, he wanted to be useful to the sister who always looked after him, and the only one who tried to understand him when no one even bothered to spare him a look.

Tang Moyu might have failed in becoming the perfect daughter to their parents, but she had become the perfect older sister in Tang Beixuan's eyes. The moment Tang Beixuan had been conscious of his surroundings as a child, he'd been looking up to his pretty sister who always excelled in school and was always at the top of her class.

He didn't care if people kept comparing them. For fuck's sake, Tang Moyu was his big sis! There's no fucking way that he wouldn't be proud of her.

When he was seven and his sister was already twelve, he found out that the Tang family accepted the marriage arrangement between his sister and Feng Tianhua years ago, Young Beixuan had been livid.

He'd met the boy and he didn't think Feng Tianhua was worthy enough to marry his big sister, even though he had no idea what marriage meant at the time.

"So you and Mr. Qin…" Tang Beixuan gave his sister a knowing look.

"What? I was merely curious about how the two of you fell in love with each other. You didn't think I'm not curious about his intentions on you? You're my sister! Of course, I would be curious!" He defended himself.

Now that his Moyu Jie was dating Qin Jiran, Tang Beixuan didn't have to worry about Feng Tianhua being his brother-in-law in the future. His sister being with Mr. Qin and having her little buns was better than to be suffering in a loveless marriage if Tang Moyu married that butt faced man!

"We're doing just fine, Beixuan. We're both trying our best to make this work between us." Tang Moyu admitted.

"You know, Sis. You can always ask me for help if there's anything I can do for you. You don't need to face everything on your own. You have to consider that your children need you, so please don't hesitate to ask for anything if you need it."

Tang Moyu smiled at him and nodded.

"I appreciate your concern, Beixuan but really. I'm fine. Tianxin and Yaoyao are helping me manage the company, and I have someone here to help me with my little buns. So there's no need to trouble you over trivial matters than we can handle. Now that you have already graduated, have you thought of what to do with your life? You aren't getting younger, Beixuan. You have to consider your future."

Her brother only shrugged and crossed his legs as he looked up at the darkened sky. He suddenly realized that he had missed the familiar heat that Shenzhen had.

"I'm still thinking about it, Sis but I'm not rushing anything."

"Still, you must have something in your mind. Something that you want to do after graduating. If you still don't know what to do, maybe you should join us at Tang Enterprise. You can gain some work experience while trying to figure out what you truly want." His sister suggested, which didn't sound so bad in Tang Beixuan's opinion.

He'd always wonder how it would feel like working with her, and now that she was giving him a chance, there was no way in hell he would waste it.

"Sure. I think I can do that. But please, Sis." He gave her a pointed look before pressing both of his palms together as he begged her. "Please don't be so hard on me, okay? I'll do my best, but I cannot promise you anything." He grinned at his elder sister who only narrowed her eyes on him in return.

Anyway, now that he was back, he would certainly do his best to help his sister, but before that he needed to see Li Meili. He hadn't seen her for ages and wondered if they would be able to pick up where they left off.
