Chapter 55: The End! Your Highness, Trust Me One More Time!

“Third Young Master?!”

Hearing Chen Zhixing's shout, Elder Zhaoguang and Elder Huixin, who were searching from above, quickly responded and flew over.

They scrutinized him, and upon seeing that he was mostly unharmed, they sighed in relief. “Third Young Master, where have you been these past few days?”

Chen Zhixing replied honestly, “Not long after the trial started, two side-branch disciples of the Chen family tried to rob my wristband. Luckily, they weren't very strong. After knocking them out, I figured others might try the same, so I hid in a cave.”

Upon hearing this, Elder Zhaoguang and Elder Huixin exchanged a glance, both finding the situation somewhat amusing.

“The Third Young Master is truly blessed with good fortune,” Elder Zhaoguang remarked.

Most of the Chen family disciples who had come for the trial were now seriously injured or unconscious. Some unlucky ones, caught in the crossfire between Chen Tianchen and the black-robed figure Nineteen, had been reduced to mere bloodstains. Yet, the Third Young Master had escaped unscathed by sheer luck.

“What happened?” Chen Zhixing asked in confusion.

“It's a long story…” Elder Zhaoguang sighed deeply, then seemed to recall something important. His tone turned serious as he asked, “By the way, Third Young Master, have you seen the First Young Master?”

“You mean Brother Zhaosheng?” Chen Zhixing shook his head. “I hid in the cave on the first day and haven't seen him since.”

Hearing this, Elders Zhaoguang and Huixin exchanged another glance, their expressions darkening.

They had been searching for Chen Zhaosheng for several hours now, but aside from finding his shattered wristband, there was no sign of him. The memory of the five black-robed figures attacking them initially, with two of them pursuing Chen Zhaosheng, weighed heavily on their minds.

“The First Young Master shoulders the future of the Chen family. If something happened to him…” Elder Huixin’s expression turned complex, already envisioning the potential upheaval in the Chen family.

Before he could finish, Elder Zhaoguang shot him a warning glance, cutting him off. “This is not for us to discuss. We should leave it to Fourth Master to decide.”

After searching the area for another half hour without success, they reluctantly led Chen Zhixing away.

On the way back, Elders Zhaoguang and Huixin briefly recounted the recent events to Chen Zhixing, especially emphasizing the deeds of the masked figure with the white cross. Both elders spoke with deep admiration.

“Is that so? I didn’t expect such a benevolent and powerful figure to exist in the world,” Chen Zhixing responded, echoing their sentiments with exaggerated amazement.

Back on the deck, Chen Tianchen was sitting cross-legged, recovering from his injuries.

Seeing Chen Zhixing return, he exhaled a long sigh of relief and got up to greet him, pulling him into a tight hug.

“Thank goodness you're safe, Zhixing. I wouldn't know how to face your father if anything happened to you!”

“Fourth Uncle, are you alright?” Chen Zhixing asked with concern.

Chen Tianchen forced a smile and replied, “I'm fine. We were lucky today that a reclusive master in the area intervened; otherwise, it would’ve been a disaster. We owe this person, and the entire Chen family owes them a great debt!”

“Yes, Elder Zhaoguang and the others told me,” Chen Zhixing nodded. Curious, he asked, “Where is this person? We should invite them back to the Chen family to properly express our gratitude.”

Chen Tianchen smiled bitterly and said, “That person is quite eccentric. They left without even giving their name. But remember, they wore a white cross mask. If you ever encounter them, make sure to thank them properly. This person is truly a benefactor.”

“I understand,” Chen Zhixing responded solemnly, as if committing the description to memory.

“Good.” Chen Tianchen nodded in satisfaction, then turned to Elders Zhaoguang and Huixin. “Have you still not found Chen Zhaosheng?”

“Fourth Master, we only found the First Young Master's broken wristband,” Elder Zhaoguang replied in a low voice.

“Sigh!” Chen Tianchen sighed deeply.

As a key figure in the Chen family, he knew just how much the family head valued Chen Zhaosheng, treating him as the heir to the Ziwei Chen family’s future. The thought of Chen Zhaosheng's potential demise was almost too much to bear.

“Huixin, stay here and continue searching for Zhaosheng. The rest of you, come with me,” Chen Tianchen ordered.

With a wave of his hand, a leaf-shaped flying shuttle appeared in Chen Tianchen’s grasp. The shuttle expanded in the wind until it was several dozen meters long.

“Let's go.”

Chen Tianchen swept up the unconscious Chen family disciples with his sleeve and grabbed Chen Zhixing with the other, stepping onto the shuttle.

With a roar, the shuttle accelerated, shooting up into the sky and heading toward Yanzhou.

Meanwhile, deep within the vast Ten Thousand Mountains of the southern border...

“Elder Feilong, how about I lead the way instead?”

Mo Qingyue sighed helplessly as she watched Elder Feilong, who was ahead of her, scratching his head in frustration while trying to find a way out.

It had been three days!

Three whole days since they entered the southern border, and instead of finding the Chen family's trial grounds, they had strayed further and further into the depths of the Ten Thousand Mountains. She was on the verge of losing her mind!

“Your Highness, just give me one more hour. I’m sure I’ll find the way this time,” Elder Feilong said confidently.

“Three days ago, you said the same thing,” Mo Qingyue replied, her voice tinged with despair.

“Uh…”

Elder Feilong chuckled awkwardly, then clenched his fist and coughed. “Your Highness, trust me one more time. I have a feeling that the Chen family’s trial grounds are just to the east!”

“Yes, trust me, Your Highness. This time, I won’t be wrong!”

After speaking, Elder Feilong turned and resolutely walked eastward.

After a few steps, he noticed that Mo Qingyue hadn’t followed. Confused, he turned back and asked, “Huh? Why aren’t you coming, Your Highness?”

Mo Qingyue looked at him with exhaustion and finally said, “Elder Feilong, the direction you’re heading is north…”

Meanwhile, in the deepest part of the Ten Thousand Mountains...

Inside a dark, damp underground cave, a vortex suddenly appeared on the ground.

A black-robed figure with a golden spider mask, with the number "Nineteen" engraved on the left side of his forehead, slowly emerged from the vortex.

Moments later, the vortex vanished without a trace.

Black-robed Nineteen scanned the cave.

Inside, another emaciated black-robed figure was already waiting, standing next to a stone bed where a corpse lay motionless.

“Master, I've retrieved the Thirty-Seventh Seed. Shall I begin extracting the royal diagram from the body?” the emaciated figure asked in a low voice.

“No rush.”

Black-robed Nineteen shook his head, then frowned. “Where is Zixulu? Wasn’t she with you?”

The emaciated figure was taken aback but smiled. “Master, when I brought the Thirty-Seventh Seed back, it was already dead, and Chen Zhixing of the Chen family’s Third Peak was nearby. I had Zixulu finish off Chen Zhixing. Didn’t she return with you?”

Black-robed Nineteen’s brow furrowed slightly. He took out a black jade and glanced at it, then said slowly:

“Zixulu has been killed.”

The emaciated figure's pupils contracted violently.

“What?!” He was utterly shocked.
