Fantasy Lord: Starting with Daily Information

Chapter 26: New Information

Chapter 26: New Information

The Tulip Kingdom is home to countless nobles, though most are only barons or viscounts. Achieving the rank of earl is considered high nobility within the kingdom. The Dresrosa family, as a newly established earldom, naturally has many adversaries.

However, these adversaries are of little concern to Thor.

In the Frost Moon Province, he might need to consider them more carefully. But in the chaotic Northern Province, with his current strength, he only needs to avoid conflict with the marquis of the region. He has no worries about antagonizing other nobles.

With nearly forty official knights and over a hundred apprentice knights, Thor’s force might not sweep the entire Northern Province, but it surpasses seventy percent of the local lords. If Steve breaks through to become a grand knight, Thor's power will exceed ninety percent of the pioneering lords. Even some titled nobles might not compare.

Moreover, his territory houses an unconscious figure who is at least at the pinnacle of earth knight, possibly even a sky knight.

Therefore, he has no cause for concern.

Ignoring the voices around him, Thor led his knight brigade into Loren City, quickly locating the place where they had previously settled and setting up camp again.

As dusk fell and night approached, it became clear that neither purchasing serfs nor buying supplies could be done that day. Those tasks would have to wait until tomorrow.

Thor wasn't in a hurry and settled in for the night.

As midnight arrived, the daily information system updated as usual.

"Buzz!"

[Daily Information Updated]

1. "In your territory, within fifty miles, there is a timid goblin settlement that controls a large iron mine."

2. "Seven days later, a herd of unicorns will pass upstream of the Maine Valley, led by a second-tier peak unicorn."

3. "Three miles to the left of Eagle Ridge, there is a goblin settlement."

4. "One hundred miles to the right, an spectral dragon has left its nest, now occupied by a group of earth dragons, holding its treasures."

5. "One thousand miles from Loren City..."

6. "Tomorrow, on the west side of Loren City, an old man will be selling a treasure map, which is actually a trap set by hurricane bandits."

7. "Rachos Assad is secretly smuggling a batch of flammable oil from the Southern Moon Province in his shop. To avoid detection, he is seeking a buyer. By tomorrow night, he will have found one and will make a significant profit."

Scanning through the information, Thor noticed several previously mentioned pieces of information but was particularly interested in a few new ones.

For example, he hadn’t expected to find a scam like the treasure map trap in this world.

Thor’s attention was also drawn to the seventh piece of information.

“flammable oil!”

Muttering to himself, Thor’s eyes gleamed.

During his journey to the Northern Province, Thor had learned much about this world. flammable oil, a crucial strategic material, was something he knew well.

This material, extracted safely only in the Southern Moon Province, has a rapid combustion effect, similar to the oil from Thor’s previous world but even more flammable.

As such, flammable oil is an extremely important strategic resource, difficult for even nobles to obtain.

Thor was surprised to find information about flammable oil here and that someone had smuggled it in.

This revelation brightened his eyes.

With flammable oil, his upcoming plans would proceed much more smoothly.

“Rachos Assad... The Assad family?”

Frowning slightly, Thor pondered.

He recalled information about the Assad family. Like the Dresrosa family, the Assads were also earls, but their status was somewhat higher.

The Assad family had been established for nearly seven hundred years and had five known earth knights, compared to the Dresrosa family’s two.

Additionally, there was significant tension between the Assad and Dresrosa families, though not to the point of being mortal enemies.

Obtaining flammable oil from the Assad family wouldn’t be easy, as they might not be willing to sell to him.

“Ryan!”

Thor called out.

Ryan quickly entered, having stayed close by even during the night.

“Tomorrow, find out as much as you can about Rachos Assad. I need this information quickly.”

Thor issued his command.

“Yes, my lord!”

Ryan nodded respectfully.

Having instructed Ryan, Thor began to train.

His talent wasn't exceptional. Despite traveling for quite some time and Ryan having already advanced to knight, Thor remained at the mid-stage apprentice knight level.

He hadn’t reached the late-stage knight, let alone an official knight.

This was understandable given his low innate talent, even with the benefits of life essence and razor fish, which had only slightly improved his abilities. He was far from matching top talents like Ryan.

In information reports, Ryan had become a sky knight, a talent higher than Thor’s father, Count Engel Dresrosa, and possibly significantly so.

Some sky knights might not have as much talent as Ryan.

Thus, Thor had no illusions about his own prowess.

This world values martial strength, but with the daily information system, Thor believed his cultivation would eventually catch up. There was no need to rush.

Morning sunlight filtered in.

At dawn, Ryan set out to gather information on Rachos Assad.

By noon, he returned.

“How did it go?”

Thor asked as Ryan entered.

“My lord, I’ve gathered the information!”

“Rachos Assad is the ninth son of the current head of the Assad family and is not highly regarded. He came to Loren City for trade and currently runs a small shop.”

Ryan respectfully conveyed what he had learned.

Thor listened intently.

After a moment, he exhaled and smiled.

“Let’s pay a visit to Mr. Rachos Assad.”

Thor’s gentle voice prompted action.

“Yes!”

Ryan responded promptly.
