FATE of DxD

Planning a Heist for the Ages

"So here's the deal . . ." Azazel started.

"I got you the remaining Vritra type sacred gears. I assume you have different ideas than implanting them into yourself so so here they are."

A fallen angel magic circle then appeared in the air dropping a box which contained said sacred gears.

"Thanks a lot." Jun showed some honest gratitude.

"You're welcome. Next up are bad news however so your feeling my change." Azazel warned.

"Well, hit me with them." Jun said for him to go ahead.

"In regards to the Regulus Nemea, we of Grigori had been searching for it as well but all we know is that its previous master perished, along with all of his killers and the sacred gear mysteriously disappeared." Azazel informed.

'So it's likely already in Sairaorg's hands . . . That's to bad but I can live with it.' Jun thought.

"That's fine, how about the other piece of info I requested?" He inquired.

"Oh? It seems like you at least half expected that result eh?" Azazel commented but moved on.

"As for locating a pair of nekoshou in the underworld, all I have is some rumours." He said.

"Rumours?" Jun asked.

"Some High Class Devil doing some experiments with nekoshou but that it deep within devil territory so my people can't snoop around without ruffling feathers I don't really want to ruffle. Get it?" Azazel said.

"I get it. Just give my the general area but . . ." Jun paused for drama.

"But?" Azazel was already a bit nervous.

"Considering my requests were barely half completed . . . Isn't some compensation in order?" Jun "innocently" asked.

"And what would that compensation be?" Azazel asked with a sigh of exasperation.

"As you know, I'm doing a project that requires artifacts so I'd like you to provide access to your database of locations where such artifacts can be found, and, if you have some spare to give me, that would be even better." Jun shamelessly said.

"Kid . . . You're really sucking any and all benefits dry. I can give you that much access to our info network to just figure out the locations of certain artifacts but asking me if I can just give one when I've already gave you three? Don't you think you're being a little too greedy?" Azazel questioned.

"Might as well give it a try right. At most I'll get a not that'll be that." Jun shrugged.

"What a pleasant personality!" Azazel sarcastically commented.

"But still, since I'm such a good guy I can pitch the idea to one of my subordinates that got his hands on a seriously sweet goody. He might have some conditions for you however." He added.

"The last request was more of a hail mary on my part so that's more than enough. Truly thank you." Jun gave Azazel a slight bow of gratitude.

"Well, at least you're sincere enough. If that guy is interested he'll come to you himself." Azazel left Jun with those words and made himself scarce.

'I wonder who he was talking about?' Jun thought to himself.

Then, he went to confort Valia over being left out and hang out a bit with her to keep the girl happy. Once he was done with that he returned to his own room and stored the four sacred gears in the Akashic Converter but did nothing with them yet.

Next in Jun's order of business, was to locate the treasures needed for his project. Said projects was to build an awesomely overpowered Noble Phantasm or Phantasms.

Accessing the terminal in his own room with his now upgraded access to Grigori's databases, Jun researched treasures and artifacts worthy of taking and which factions held them and where.

As he this this though, another partition of his mind spoke with Ahsaka regarding the unlocking of his Scion on the Void Skill, asking her for a more in depth explanation of it.

'The skill represents your connection to the Root and it is currently closed nearly fully. The only reason your body and soul still carry the Root's power is because they were shaped in it, that also being the reason for you to have such a strong connection.' Ahsaka started.

'The hardest seals to unlock will be the first E rank seal and the last EX rank seal. The others will not pose that much of a challenge, they will still take time but not too much work.' She added.

'How so?' Jun asked.

'The first seal will mean you will finally have an open direct connection to the Root. A channel that will flood you with its power and your body and soul will come under tremendous pressure because of it, with some very drastic consequences.'

'After that though, each succeeding rank will just by the process of letting your body and soul acclimatize to the connection before expanding it which is simply waiting some time without doing anything in particular.'

'This period of adjustment will grow longer and longer for each rank but you will still not be under any significant risk or burden like the time when the first seal is released.'

'So how should I prepare myself for the release of the first seal?' Jun asked.

'Strengthen your body and soul to their utmost limits.' Ahsaka replied.

'Creating Noble Phantasms that become a part of your existence and strengthen it, training your body and skills, fully integrating the Factor of the Dragon, creating an immortal unaging body, achieving Heaven's Feel and materializing your soul turning it into and eternal self sufficient existence.' She broke it down.

'So what will exactly happen when the seal is released?' Jun continued to ask.

'A massive flow of magical energy, directly from the Root of Akasha itself will flow through your body and soul. Everything that is to weak and poorly integrated into your existence will be washed away and eliminated.'

"What the hell does that mean!?" Jun questioned with alarm sayin it out loud and not mentally out of surprise.

'Your body is too weak? Dissolved into Nothingness. Your soul is to weak? Dissolved into Nothingness. Your skills that are C rank and below? Dissolved into nothingness. You get the idea.'

'The minimum requirement is to get all of your parameters naturally to B rank without any skill based boost so you'll survive and any skill and Noble Phantasm you want to keep to at least B rank as well or they will be gone.' Ahsaka finished.

'There must be some serious benefits then right?" Jun inquired.

'Naturally.' Ahsaka replied.

'Any skill and Noble Phantasm that is B rank or above will get a serious boost for the flow of energy instead. Skills will change into more powerful versions and you will get new ones as well. There are many other benefits too but telling them to you right now is a waste, just focus on getting ready for the unsealing.' She recommended.

'Fair enough, as for the last seal, it's to far away for me to care right now.' Jun shrugged.

Ahsaka just kept her silence which Jun took as agreement.

During the conversation, other partitions were busy scouring the Grigori databases for treasure and several items were located.

All Excalibur fragments, the Pendragon Family Treasury whose contents Grigori did not know exactly but were sure was stacked full of powerful magical items, the Siegfried Institute that had several powerful demonic swords including Gram, the current holders of both Durandal and Galatine . . .

The last two were off limits for the current Jun and his methods. Durandal was currently still under the care of Vasco Estrada and he could crush the current Jun with just his little finger.

Galatine was currently wielded by an exorcist named David Cerro who, despite being vastly inferior to Vasco Estrada was still a dangerous opponent for Jun that he currently did not want to provoke.

Items not held by anyone in particular and just sitting still in storage however, were something well within Jun's reach.

His continuous upgrades to Huginn and Muninn had resulted in a very particular set of abilities that made them suitable for "acquiring items from such places.

Originally, they were familiars made for collecting souls through imaginary numbers magecraft. But as Jun's grasp of that particular magecraft and just magecraft in general improved, he began adding new features.

Internal storage that worked not only for souls but for physical items as well and the ability to essentially teleport by travelling through Imaginary Number Space, thus shortening travel times to virtually zero and slipping past any annoying barriers and fields

All of this, coupled with the ability to remain undetectable to nearly all beings not especially equipped to deal with Imaginary Numbers based existences, made them into terrifying thieving familiars that could casually fly into those very secure storages and take whatever they pleased.

That was the true reason Jun wanted access to Grigori's databases as those locations filled with treasure ripe for plunder were certainly listed there.

Azazel would probably figure out it was him doing all the thieving but with his personality, he probably would just pretend not to know anything in from of others and ask something from Jun in private in exchange for his silence.

In case Jun was discovered or Azazel's silence was too expensive, he would just got into the Nasuverse prematurely, grow strong there, and return once he was powerful enough to avoid whatever punishment the previous owners of the stollen good wished upon him.
