"Calm down. It should activate any moment now. I've been working on this for a while. It lacks a particular jutsu that would make this work seamlessly, but I just can't name it. I know the jutsu is water-based and… hold on!" Gilgamesh paused as another idea came to mind. He quickly crouched and deactivated the barrier genjutsu he had placed on the floor.

Weaving hand signs, mist began to spread from Gilgamesh's position in a circular fashion. He then incorporated his barrier genjutsu into the mist.

'What did I just witness? Did this kid just come up with a jutsu known in the Bloody Mist all by himself? As far as I know, we don't have that jutsu in the village, so how did he come up with this? Is he really the 'Anbu bully'?' Thoughts raced through Ebisu's mind as his jaw dropped.

Ebisu wasn't the only one surprised by this development. Mura, too, was amazed, seeing his master create another jutsu on the fly. The only time he had done that was during his fight against Gilgamesh when he was forced to develop his strongest offence within seconds or risk complete annihilation from Gilgamesh's attack.

In the Hidden Grass Village,

"Huh, mist?" A villager looked in front of him and saw the mist spreading quickly.

Some civilians who had travelled with experienced shinobi could tell it was not a natural mist by how fast it spread and began retreating to the safety of their homes.

"Ring the bell, the village is under attack!" a ninja alerted another as they began running around making preparations.

This, of course, did not go unnoticed by the bandit ninjas who held Anko and the merchant.

"Tch, just when we were about to have fun with the ladies." The bandit leader, who was with the merchant in a room without windows, grinned at her, holding her chin up to show his crooked teeth.

"Haha, just wait for me. I'll be back to give you all the loving you need." The bandit leader said as he left the room and locked the door.

"And you, my feisty kunoichi, I will also treat you well before delivering you too." He added, giving a quick glance to a tied-up Anko, who had her chakra points temporarily sealed by the bandit leader behind a barred cell.

There were also paper bombs tagged on her body and the cell doors. The bandit leader knew he was no match for Anko and had only managed to capture her by sneaking into the carriage amidst the fighting and chaos when Ebisu and Anko were handling his men. He could have taken Ebisu as a hostage, but he preferred female company and chose the one with the strongest offence.

The bandit captain knew advanced acupuncture, a technique he had learnt from a scroll he stole from a merchant a while ago. This technique has helped him a lot since then. However, he took extra precautions when securing someone stronger than himself, hence the paper bombs.

Right now, he had to investigate the situation outside. Perhaps Anko's partner wanted to break the ransom deal, risking their village's honour being tarnished if everyone found out they couldn't even escort a merchant safely.

He could only laugh to himself as he walked and found his men guarding the entrance in a daze.

"Huh? What happ…" The bandit leader began to ask as some of the mist seeped past him, affecting his senses soon after, and causing him to experience the same state as his comrades.

Outside the Hidden Grass Village,

Ebisu couldn't believe what was happening to him… he was flying! All the negative thoughts he had about Gilgamesh escaped his mind as he tried to get used to the feeling.

"Ebisu, control your excitement! We are about to get our hostages back!" Gilgamesh scolded Ebisu, who nodded slowly with his head down.

No one would blame Ebisu for acting that way. After Gilgamesh released his mist jutsu, he touched Ebisu, causing the wind around him to lift his body without any noise.

'This flight jutsu isn't even perfect. I am still missing something. But I can feel it, I know I will find the answer on this mission just as I created a variation of my barrier genjutsu just now.' Gilgamesh thought to himself, then turned his head to Mura, who floated alongside him.

"Go down and retrieve the package in that building there. Be very cautious and fast. If you are not quick enough, there will be no rest days next week for your training, do you understand?" Gilgamesh said, his eyes seeming to burn with intensity. Mura gave a small bow as Gilgamesh deactivated his flight jutsu for him.

"Wait! We are too high; he might injure himself badly!" Even though Ebisu had mixed feelings about Gilgamesh, he didn't want to see the future of the village destroy their careers early before they had a chance to achieve great things.

Gilgamesh folded his arms as he watched Mura nose-dive until an ice slide formed below him, connecting him in a slope above the trees and straight to the village. The ice behind him shattered while the ice in front of him reformed in real time, continuing to extend forward as Mura willed it.

"Ice kekkei genkai?" Ebisu muttered as he saw Mura slide effortlessly into the village. The mist managed to hide his position as he went unhindered.

'The mist has already covered the entire village! What kind of monster is Gilgamesh? He has a subordinate who uses Ice style and can create jutsus on the spot… the village is clearly hiding information about Gilgamesh.' Ebisu thought as he glanced at Gilgamesh, who was folding his arms while small clouds passed above them.

Mura slid into the village without resistance and found ninjas frozen in place. Mura shook his head in awe, wondering how his master could cast genjutsu on such a large scale. Still, Gilgamesh had found the building where the bandit ninjas were. Many were hiding in the bushes, also in a daze, some in trees, and others walking around a small building hidden in a small forest in the village.
