Itachi observed Gilgamesh with a weakened expression for a couple of seconds. He had grown tired of babysitting him. Itachi decided that he would either bring Gilgamesh back in pieces or tie him up if he couldn't focus on the mission and continued to behave recklessly in another village. It was important for them to remain mission-oriented until they returned to the village.

I-I can’t with this child, I just can’t!’ Itachi thought to himself as he chased after Gilgamesh.

“Alright since he is coming, I better up my speed,” Gilgamesh said without looking back and appeared before Gaara who was looking out from his balcony, looking at the other kids playing.

Hmm? Why is he not joining them? Is he disabled or something?’ Gilgamesh thought as he perched on the roof overlooking the balcony.

Hold on, is he a jinchuriki?’ Gilgamesh thought as he looked into Gaara’s core and witnessed foreign chakra that seemed alive and wild inside of Gaara.

So is it like this for Jinchuriki’s everywhere? Are they always isolated? Why? Are they asking for their villages to be destroyed or what?’ Gilgamesh thought and saw that the red-haired kid in front of him probably had as much battle experience as Naruto now.

Tch, and here I thought I could learn something from him.’ Gilgamesh thought and was about to return when he sensed Itachi catching up.

“You, where did you come from?” Gaara said as the sand that protected him as if it was an innate defence alerted him of the wind change that was flowing from Gilgamesh’s position, which was why he noticed someone was watching him.

“What do you mean ‘you’, you plebian? I have a name you know.” Gilgamesh shot back.

“Plebian? What does that mean?” Gaara asked.

Gilgamesh landed on the balcony and walked towards Gaara.

“Hey, stay back! Or I will kill you!” Gaara cautioned.

After a second of thought, Gilgamesh left and joined up with Itachi who scolded him all the way to the entrance of the hidden sand village.

Wait, that headband that boy wore on his arm… is he from Konoha? Did someone from Konoha come here? Was he on a mission? A mission to kill me? No, that wasn’t the case. Could he have tried to be friends? There’s no way! If see was he doing it to get something from the Kazekage? If I see him next time, I will kill him.’ Gaara concluded in his mind and went back inside.

On their way back to Konoha, Itachi ordered the captured bandits to run along so they can reach Konoha in three days.

On the third day, the temperature changed and became more bearable. The bandits were at least happy to have left the desert that was hot in the day and cold at night.

“Captain, I will be taking this one with me to The Thirds office.” Gilgamesh said to Itachi.

“Why? Does he know something valuable?” Itachi asked since he was going to turn the leader of the bandits in for the reward bounty on his head. Maybe the Anbu ninjas will begin to respect him more for capturing a jounin-level ninja.

“Maybe. But this one wants to follow me.” Gilgamesh answered.

Itachi said nothing afterwards, he was already happy that he wouldn’t be responsible for his safety the moment they reached the gates of Konoha, so he wouldn’t let anything spoil his mood. This trip had been a test of patience for him and he couldn’t wait to see his little brother again.

Itachi first of all collected his bounty then escorted Gilgamesh to The Third's office for the sake of completing the mission to the letter. He handed in the signed document from The Fourth Kazekage which The Third received and nodded after seeing the seal.

“Alright, you are relieved Itachi. Well done on your mission.” The Third said as Itachi nodded and left the office.

I can’t believe the captain he talked about was also a kid like him. Is the village full of monsters like them?’ Mura thought to himself as he watched Itachi leave the office.

“And you, Gilgamesh, did you enjoy the hand-to-hand combat you so desperately wanted?” The Third asked.

“Tch, that’s why I am still here. Give me another one. I fought this guy to the point he is begging me to take him in.” Gilgamesh remarked pointing at the restrained Mura.

“What?” The Third and Shikaku said in Unison.

“So? Will you let him hang with me?” Gilgamesh asked.

“…” The third was speechless until Shikaku looked at Mura more and his eyes widened.

“You wouldn’t be Mura from the nameless fist clan right?” Shikaku asked Mura calmly.

“How did you know the name of my clan?” It was destroyed years ago along with its members! Mura asked with his eyes widened.

“Hmm, I have read up on all the clans, and small villages wiped out during the third great ninja war. And anytime you defeat a squad of ninjas you leave them alive to spread the name of your forgotten clan, but after a while, nobody heard of you again. So you resorted to being a bandit eh? Honour couldn’t put food on the table again, right? Why didn’t you just become a guard for some rich merchants or village chiefs?” Shikaku asked and critiqued Mura’s motives.

“Everything you said was correct. The master of our clan said to forget about the dying clan. I was his only disciple at the time since the rest died in the war. I learned all his fist techniques but still, that didn’t stop his inevitable death, I wandered around and challenged strong ninjas and asked stronger ninjas to take me in but I was denied any real challenge and discipleship.” Mura answered calmly.

“I lost to a bandit leader who gave me the conditions to join him or die, I soon met this young man who couldn’t even allow me to display my fist techniques. He rendered all my attacks useless, it was as if I was fighting a master who was also looking for a challenge, just like I was. And for a moment, I could relate to that. On my level, there was no one I met who could give me a proper challenge, I recognized the look in his eyes. He wanted more from me, but I failed, I even tried killing him, but I failed at that. I have finally seen someone I can follow.” Mura continued with determination on his face after glancing at Gilgamesh and then back at Shikaku who stood beside The Third.

“Please let me follow this man!” Mura proclaimed.
