Chapter 035: Disabling the Gravity Wristband, Might Guy’s True Power!

"Step back, Kabuto!" Orochimaru ordered.

"Yes, Lord Orochimaru!" Kabuto retreated a safe distance, observing the battle from afar.

Orochimaru stood atop Manda's head, charging towards Might Guy and Kakashi. Immediately, Guy opened the Eight Gates, pushing himself to the Seventh Gate. Against an opponent as formidable as Orochimaru, anything less than the Seventh Gate would be ineffective.

Kakashi, meanwhile, unsheathed the White Light Blade, channeling his Lightning Blade technique into it, causing the very air to be torn apart.

The battle erupted instantly!

Orochimaru spewed a mass of snakes from his mouth, forming a serpent wall—the Formation of Ten Thousand Snakes. The sheer number of serpents could overwhelm anyone with a fear of them.

Might Guy responded by unleashing Morning Peacock, a technique from the Eight Gates. His fists moved faster than sound, igniting the air and creating a wave of fire that incinerated the mass of snakes.

Kakashi activated his Sharingan, pinpointing Orochimaru's weak spots, and launched his Lightning Blade. But just as he was about to strike, Manda's tail lashed out, forcing Kakashi to evade with a substitution technique, abandoning his assault on Orochimaru.

Suddenly, from one of the snakes, a sword emerged—it was the Kusanagi Sword. It shot towards Guy at supersonic speed, but Guy evaded it with a swift body technique.

From afar, Kabuto observed the battle. "Lord Orochimaru's power may be compromised, but Guy without the Eighth Gate is still weaker than him. As for Kakashi, he's not even on Guy's level."

Kabuto was confident that Orochimaru would win.

[Fourth Raikage: "Kakashi and Guy have a good synergy, but they’re still lacking in power."]

[Tsunade: "Keep watching. I believe in Guy and Kakashi!"]

[Hidan: "Orochimaru looks like he’s about to win. Guy can't keep the Eight Gates open forever, and when his strength fades, Orochimaru will have the advantage."]

[Kisame Hoshigaki: "It seems there's nothing to fear from Guy. Without the Eighth Gate, he's not that impressive."]

At this point, Might Guy unleashed the Daytime Tiger technique!

A massive burst of pressure took the form of a roaring tiger, which Guy used to strike at Orochimaru. Manda attempted to block Guy's attack, but to everyone's shock, Manda was sent flying by the force of the attack.

[Fourth Raikage: "That kind of power... Guy just sent a giant summoning beast flying!"]

[Kisame Hoshigaki: "So this is the Daytime Tiger. I admit, I underestimated Guy."]

[Third Raikage: "As expected from the technique ranked eighth on the Taijutsu list. It’s truly formidable!"]

[Itachi Uchiha: "It seems Orochimaru might actually lose."]

[Hiashi Hyuga: "I also believe Orochimaru is going to lose!"]

[Zabuza Momochi: "It's too early to call a winner!"]

"He actually knocked Manda away!" Orochimaru pulled back, his expression serious.

If it hadn’t been for Manda taking the hit, Orochimaru might have been severely injured.

At that moment, Kakashi's eyes morphed into the Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Kamui!"

The space around Orochimaru began to distort as if trying to pull him into another dimension.

"Damn!" Orochimaru's face went pale. He hadn’t expected Kakashi to possess such a powerful ability.

Kabuto was equally stunned. He hadn't known that Kakashi wielded the Mangekyō Sharingan and could perform such a devastating space-time jutsu.

However, Kakashi's control over the Mangekyō Sharingan was imperfect; he only managed to warp away one of Orochimaru's arms, sending it to the Kamui dimension.

"Curse it!!!" Orochimaru cursed, immediately using the Eight Branches Technique.

In an instant, he transformed, summoning a colossal serpent with eight heads—the Eight-Headed Serpent. Its massive form generated shockwaves that tore through the surrounding landscape.

Kakashi collapsed to the ground, having drained too much chakra. After all, the Sharingan was not his own, but Uchiha Obito’s, and using Kamui took a heavy toll on him.

"Guy, it's up to you!" Kakashi said.

"Kakashi, let me show you my true strength!" Guy responded with a grin.

He revealed the gravity wristbands on his wrists, which were still active.

[Third Hokage: "Gravity wristbands? Could it be that Guy was suppressing his strength this whole time?"]

[Tsunade: "Does that mean Guy has been holding back his power this entire battle?"]

[Hidan: "No way! How is Guy this strong?"]

[Fourth Raikage: "Don’t forget, several of Guy's techniques ranked in the top ten of the Taijutsu list. The rewards from that alone would have significantly boosted his strength. Have you considered how much he might have improved?"]

[Obito Uchiha: "Orochimaru has no chance. He’s completely lost!"]

Might Guy deactivated the gravity wristbands, and his entire body felt lighter, his speed and power multiplying.

"What?! He was fighting me while holding back!" Orochimaru was in disbelief.

"Daytime Tiger!" Guy unleashed the technique once more, his body becoming a blazing tiger that shattered the very air.

Orochimaru, still in his Eight-Headed Serpent form, tried to counter with the serpent heads. However, when they collided, the resulting explosion of power was so immense that the surrounding forest was obliterated, and Kabuto was forced to retreat a great distance.

As the dust settled, Orochimaru, severely wounded, was taken away by the battered Manda. Kabuto quickly jumped onto Manda’s back, and they fled at high speed.

Guy, now panting heavily, had clearly expended a great deal of energy. Despite the victory, he was visibly fatigued from using Daytime Tiger twice in succession.

But the battle had solidified Guy’s reputation. Even though it had been a team effort with Kakashi, his name would now be known throughout the ninja world.

"Guy, you've completely surpassed me!" Kakashi acknowledged.

Guy smiled, "Kakashi, you’re not so bad yourself, hiding that Mangekyō Sharingan from us all!"

"Let’s head back."

With that, Guy helped Kakashi, and the two made their way back to Konoha.

Orochimaru’s defeat sent shockwaves through the ninja world. Although Orochimaru wasn’t considered the strongest, he had still managed to kill the Third Hokage, only to be defeated by Might Guy in the blink of an eye, causing his reputation to plummet.

If Guy was this strong with only the Seventh Gate, it was terrifying to imagine his power when the Eighth Gate, with techniques like Evening Elephant and Night Guy, was unleashed.
