Great Novelist

Chapter 37

The dream I’ve been waiting for

“I think there are too many people. ”

I was a little bored watching the crowded subway. He remembered. I went to the zoo a while back. The elephant with the butt. Yeah, I’d love an elephant.

“Elephants.”

Let’s mix some emotions into the elephant. Subway accident. News. Words passed through my mind.

“Crisis, fear. ”

Fear.

People have multiple phobias. Fear varies in intensity depending on how much it affects real life. If you live in a big city and are terrified of deserts, you don’t need to be treated unless you plan to migrate to the Middle East.

“I’ll take that. ”

He picked up a pen.

There’s something scary about her, too. The elephant. But as I said above, there was no major discomfort. She’s an ordinary corporate worker, and it’s rare for an adult to be forced to go to a zoo.

Today, she took the subway to work, listening to music as usual. The weather was good and I felt good. I recently passed the promotion test. I have a boyfriend, and the underdog can’t threaten his position. It is a peaceful daily continuum. I forget what I’m afraid of.

It was all in his hands. She thinks she’s the strong one.

And there was an elephant waiting for her at the subway station she was about to get off.

This is as far as I go.

Turns out, there was an elephant that escaped from the actual zoo. The restaurant where the elephant entered was managed by the name ’house of the elephant.’

In this content, she imaged the supervisor she just spoke with. It is convenient to see a woman having a busy morning and write it as it is, but it is not fun.

I didn’t want to hear anything I said to Moon this time.

*

He listened to the sound of the bell after the third period and headed to the void. It was Dr. Moon’s call.

“You’re in trouble now. ”

Seogwang shook his head. I thought you’d never hear a sound. I smiled awkwardly. What’s the big deal? He’s on his feet.

After entering the science prep room at the end, the stern expressions of Mr. Moon greeted him.

“Space shuttle.”

“Yes.”

When I thought this was the first time I had been alone with Moon, I heard a quiet voice without knowing it.

Teacher Moon had to sit in the seat of Spring, which is the position facing him because he was sitting where he usually sat. The backlight of the window behind him casts a shadow. Teacher Moon looked like a shadow.

He opened his mouth.

“Do you have a woman these days? ”

“No.”

He replied at once. Women are too busy writing. Moon pushed the manuscript he had taken for the prosecution towards the Lord.

“But come on. ”

In the manuscript was a story of a woman who was admitted and met an alien on a mountain to meet her death.

Just yesterday, the written presentation was a confession, geological acid, and computer. The words were drawn by Mr. Moon. The remains remain on the desk. There is a small folded paper inside a shabby box. Thanks to you, there was only a more difficult line.

Perhaps that’s why his mood swings were even worse. For the record, the female protagonist is confessed by a man who has never seen his face on a computer.

In the shade, Dr. Moon said,

“This wasn’t enough. ”

“I think aliens exist. ”

So one day, if you come in contact with aliens and get killed, you won’t be surprised.

Dr. Moon nodded and said.

“So, did you want to pass the idea on to the reader? ”

“No, that’s not it. ”

“But come on. ”

The second thing that came out of Mr. Moon’s mouth was this. He replied honestly.

“I can’t control myself. ”

“Oops, oops. ”

Teacher Moon was speechless whether he expected it to be roughly so. He will, too, but no matter how much attention Moon gave him, this end of Lord didn’t seem to improve. Mr. Moon will know that he is not a rebellious student.

The shadow shifts slightly. I was looking at the manuscript.

“You have a gift. ”

He made it clear. You have a gift. He didn’t say anything. Teacher Moon asked him.

“Do you want to be a novelist? ”

You want to be a novelist. I remembered a question that I had received from many reporters in the past. None of those questions. You were already a novelist.

“I don’t know.”

An impatient novelist does not know the answer to that question. He lowered his head slightly and said.

“I wanted to be a genius novelist. ”

“Yes?”

He said what he wanted to say without caring about Lord’s question.

“You know, it’s cool. You don’t do anything, you get drunk. If you just write it down and put it in a book, everyone will love it. This is nothing to me, smiling. ”

“That’s very presumptuous. ”

He said he saw an honest look.

“I wanted to be such a jerk. I had a gift, too. ”

Moon said he had talent, and it was a joyful face.

“Then why did you become a teacher? ”

“To make money. ”

He said money without hesitation. Master Moon, he changed the question.

“Then why didn’t you become a genius novelist? ”

He had a bitter smile.

“Because it’s gone.”

He said, “What did he have?”

“What wasn’t there? ”

“Irritability.”

The strength of your legs. Fresh words pop out. It’s too fresh to understand. Maybe Moon was in the lower quadrant.

“Novelist work is special. ”

“What’s the point? ”

“The only thing I carry is a pen. I need stamina. The essence of novelists is nogada. ”

It does not come from the mouth of the literature teacher.

Noga. In other words, it is the last labor, as he insists. It was a word far from genius.

“Do you think of any genius novelists? ”

Genius novelist. Many of the authors’ names have crossed the line, but they don’t match the mathematics of genius. because we know how much trouble and suffering they went through to write a single article.

“No.”

Moon nodded.

“Yes, that’s it. There are no geniuses. What is all the talent Heaven has given me in Nogada? I had a hard time getting rid of it. ”

He laughs, as he empathizes with his words. I hit him hard. Writing is hard. A few times a day, I get a sense of self-esteem. I am ashamed and ashamed of what I wrote. And yet we have to face them. Fix and correct numerous times. I dig deeper and deeper into the bottom without cause. The impurities that used to sink quietly rise up and pollute the water. But it won’t stop.

It takes months if it is short and a lifetime if it is long.

“It’s a long run. ”

Running long distances. No matter how good a man’s lungs are, he must be tired. Here comes the moment of the fall. What you need at the time is not talent. The power of the leg that can rise again. I can endure a tremor on my knees. The power comes from the heart.

“Then what should I call the novelists who have it? ”

The word genius cannot contain them all. He asked Moon. He failed and walked away from it. But he was smiling. Living. There’s more than one way. I started running again on the other road.

Sometimes it is better to see from afar. So this guy would know. What’s at the end of the road.

Moon smiled deeply and said.

“Great novelist. ”

The wind blows. You take a deep breath. He’s coming inside.

“So, there was no genius novelist in the first place. I had a dream that didn’t exist in this world. ”

“Dreams are free. ”

It allows us to embrace what is not in this world. So people carelessly dream, admire, and envy.

He recalled the days of anxiety. The word “genius” disappeared in an instant. I hid my face like a lamp in front of the wind. It was a very fragile word.

Suddenly, the shadow surrounding the door teacher was lifted. His form is intact.

“What I’m trying to say is that your talents are not very useful. ”

Teacher Moon once again asked him, smiling quietly.

“Do you want to be a novelist? ”

He did not take his mouth off easily. One look at his toes, one look at the ceiling. A novelist. A great novelist.

“I want to. ”

Moon said with a satisfied expression.

“If you want to. ”

He laughed at the familiar words. He failed to fulfill his dream. I failed and gave up. I let him go. In such a person, Lord found the dream he had been waiting for.

Unlike before, I’m not just a novelist. A little childish, a little grandiose. Great.

I’m hungry.

“Strength first. Make sure to write more than one word after you run. ”

“Yes.”

I engraved Mr. Moon’s advice. He is planning an exercise and is looking at the manuscript carefully, he said.

“By the way, kids are good at writing these days. What, did you just happen to go to the same school? ”

“I never went to the academy. ”

“Are you by any chance? ”

He suddenly snapped and laughed quietly as if he was making such a boring joke.

Fitness. After speaking with Moon, he clearly understood what he lacked. The stamina you can endure when something tries to overthrow you, the stamina you need to move forward on your own, and the stamina you need to write. Physical strength.

He woke up at dawn. I shook my head, rubbing my eyes that wouldn’t open well. I went into the bathroom and washed, and at last I woke up.

I went out to the living room and there was a mother who woke up to the sound of water.

“Why are you up so early? ”

“I’m going to go for a run. ”

“At this hour? ”

“Yes. I’m going to get some strength. ”

“Watch out for the car. ”

She looked a little surprised and went back to the bedroom without saying anything. He went out in sneakers. Looking at the dark dawn sky, he began to unwind. When you move suddenly, your muscles are stunned.

When he arrived in the park, he began to run. No cars, no bikes. It was less distracting and not dangerous to focus solely on running. The park itself was spacious and I liked that there were more trees than anything else.

“Get ready, get going. ”
