Great Swordsman Ke Xue

Chapter 24 Are you still here?

"What?! That woman Shirley!"

Vodka suddenly put out the cigarette butt and stood up from the stool angrily. Chianti turned around and left immediately after hearing the words. She was too lazy to listen to Vodka's temper.

Speaking of which, she really didn't expect that Shirley, who usually looked like a cold cat, would become so tough that she would actually make people subconsciously obey orders.

Chianti licked the corners of his mouth and disappeared into the dark passage.

The vodka in the room opened a secret door and walked straight in.

There is a cave behind the secret door, a lounge that is very luxuriously decorated, but still maintains a black aesthetic in color.

Gin was sitting on the sofa, and as expected, he heard everything Chianti said word for word.

"Vodka——"

"Brother."

"Go and have a look. If it's something related to research, try to meet her needs; but if it's something about her sister, huh, just tell her that her sister is dead."

"Uh, brother."

"Go ahead."

Gin flicked the ashes of his cigarette with a cold expression.

Although Vodka was a little depressed, Gin had already spoken and he could only obey.

After the vodka left, Gin subconsciously reached out and touched the back of his neck, but it was empty.

His beautiful blond hair, which he had carefully taken care of for many years, had not suffered any damage even in the face of a hail of bullets.

That damn woman Miyano Akemi, and that damn guy——

Miyano Shiho returned to her private office. As the director of the institute and the codename member of the organization, this is what she deserves.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door, and a female doctor in a white coat opened the door, but what came in was vodka dressed in black and wearing a bowler hat behind her.

"Shirley, you'd better—"

"Where's my sister?"

Before Vodka could finish his words, he was interrupted by Miyano Shiho's cold voice. He felt a little aggrieved, but when he heard Miyano Shiho's question, he couldn't help but smile coldly.

"died."

Miyano Shiho's eyes trembled, he slowly released the mouse, and shifted his gaze from the computer screen to Vodka's rough face.

Vodka grinned silently, and Miyano Shiho frowned.

"Vodka, you'd better be honest. Forget it. I won't tell you this. Anyway, you are just a thug who only needs to obey orders. I have something else to ask you."

Vodka looked at Miyano Shiho, who spoke calmly, and was stunned for a moment, obviously not expecting her to have this reaction.

Miyano Shiho's reaction was that he was just a thug who only needed to be obeyed - so he was looking down on him and didn't take his words seriously at all!

Damn woman!

She secretly hated her, but Miyano Shiho didn't give him a chance to continue talking to stimulate her, and turned around to talk about what she wanted to ask.

"Why do you want to conduct human experiments with drugs that are still in the testing stage? I have clearly said that about that drug -"

"There is no reason, we just obey orders."

Vodka held his head high and his tone was stiff but also a little proud. The direct interruption of Miyano Shiho's words, coupled with this clever reply, seemed to make him suddenly feel proud.

After all, this was not a common thing for him.

Miyano Shiho fell into a brief silence. She reached out and picked up the tea cup on the table. The water inside was hot. She put it in her hand and felt some warmth.

"Then why are my personal movements suddenly restricted? If there is no reasonable explanation, I will respond to the higher authorities to solve the problem."

"Oh, then you should give up. This is Brother Gin's order."

Miyano Shiho didn't notice Vodka's arrogant attitude at all, and the more this happened, the more dissatisfied and resentful Vodka felt about being ignored.

After getting the answer she wanted, Miyano Shiho didn't even look at the vodka and continued to operate the computer, seeming to be in a working state.

Vodka waited for a while, but Miyano Shiho never had the intention to continue speaking. He just clicked the mouse and typed on the keyboard.

Gradually, he became impatient. He took out the cigarette case from his jacket pocket and was about to take one. Finally, Miyano Shiho looked at him.

"Huh? Are you still there?"

The doubts and confusion in Miyano Shiho's eyes were like a sharp knife thrust into Vodka's chest.

Vodka's eyes widened and his mouth opened wide. He wanted to curse but didn't dare to. He wanted to get angry but didn't know where to start.

"Shirley! You woman—! Hmph!"

It might be even more embarrassing if he stayed any longer. Vodka glared at Miyano Shiho who was at work again, turned around and opened the door to leave.

Observing Vodka's movements out of the corner of his eye, Miyano Shiho's lips curved slightly, and when he was about to close the door and leave, he said lightly:

"Tell Gin that I have to meet with my sister this Sunday. If we are not allowed to meet, I will immediately terminate the research at hand."

Vodka was stunned, turned around, and looked at Miyano Shiho's confident and calm profile. He didn't expect that she would resort to such a childish way to rebel against the organization.

However, he finally got a chance to attack this smart and arrogant woman.

"Haha, that's probably impossible, because your sister is really dead."

With a bang, Vodka slammed the door and left.

Inside the office.

Miyano Shiho sat in a chair absentmindedly, holding the mouse in one hand and placing the other on the keyboard. For a long time, he did not move.

"No, it's impossible."

She murmured softly, not wanting to believe it at all.

But sometimes, the human body's most direct physiological response is far better understood by her brain than by herself.

Crystal tears fell silently from her fair and delicate face.

The recent events appeared in her mind like a fleeting glance, but she just never wanted to think about it.

She and her sister were unable to contact or see each other for three weeks; the drug she developed that was in the testing stage was used by the organization for human experiments without authorization; and when Gin came back from injury, she was subject to unprecedented strict confinement.

And that day was the day Gin bluntly told her that her sister was dead.

The girl's tears fell silently. After a long time, she stretched out her hand to wipe her cheek, lowered her head slightly, letting the short hair on her forehead cover her eyes, stood up, opened the door, and walked towards the research room.

——

On the other side, after Koji Shimizu finished the test, he was riding home alone.

But when he passed a street, his plan to return home was disrupted.

With an unintentional glance, Shimizu Koji saw the young detective team happily playing a treasure hunt game. Originally, he just thought it was a chance encounter and planned to laugh it off, but after a few more glances, his keen eyesight allowed him to discover something. Something is wrong.

Wearing black suits and sunglasses, two of the three men still had yellow hair on their faces and had typical European and American looks. They were hanging behind Conan and the others.

The leader should be a Japanese, with a sinister look on his face and an undisguised probing of his head. Koji Shimizu knew that they were playing a trick called stalking without even thinking about it.

The adults, and two foreigners, were following the children. Are they human traffickers, or kidnappers planning to kidnap hostages?

It doesn't matter if you don't observe. After careful observation, Shimizu Koji is even more surprised.

Behind those three people, there was another wave of people, at least seven or eight.

What's going on?
