Harpia Harpyja

Nara Red and Her Axe

It's chapters like these that I'm glad I made the glossary.

Nara was fast.

She moved at an absurd speed for someone wielding an axe larger than their own body. Although, I could feel a faint aura of magic coming from her so I guessed that she was using spells.

I leaped up and backward, dodging the blade as it slashed downward. I created a platform of ice underneath my feet and pushed off, moving halfway across the room to get away from Nara.

She pursued, her weapon's blade accompanied with magic. I deftly changed direction and shot to the side, avoiding the slash of magic. I conjured an array of [Stellar] magic and, using some of the absorbed energy I'd gotten from being out and about underneath the night sky to strengthen several blasts of sound.

The magic zoomed forward, but Nara spun her axe in a circle to deflect the attack.

Then she leaped high into the air, manipulating the ground underneath her to create a pillar she could stand on. From there, she jumped at me, slicing with her axe and a few magical replicas. I dove down and toward her, slipping underneath her attack and letting her fall to the ground.

Then my two ice guns appeared in my feet, finally having finished. Nara's eyes widened slightly once she saw them, having recognized them from my spar in the re-placement test. She immediately summoned another pillar and used it to leap away from me.

She stood on the ground, holding her axe out in a defensive position. Glimmering steel magic appeared in front of he, creating many barriers to protect her from my bullets.

Seeing this, I gave a piercing effect to the bullets that were currently loaded and aimed. I made sure to have the bullets be able to pierce through the magic barriers but not Nara's body.

I fired once and the bullet broke through two layers of barriers easily and made it through the third while losing most of its momentum. Just before it hit Nara, she deflected it with her blade.

Then began the rain of bullets.

I was able to comfortably shoot around one per second, which seemed to be at least a little troubling for Nara. She began running toward me, creating pillars of stone to elevate herself into the air.

She summoned steel plates and floating stones to deflect bullets while also having several barriers up to prevent any that got too close. I was able to maneuver somewhat in the air while firing, but she was approaching at alarming speed.

Then she cast a spell and suddenly there were two of her racing toward me. I dispelled the guns and launched a massive amount of ice magic.

But that Nara disappeared with a poof and suddenly the other one was right in front of me, swinging her axe downward.

I tried to dodge but wasn't fast enough. The blade sliced through my shirt, completely exposing my breasts. Her eyes went wide before she fainted, blood spurting from her nose.
