Healing to Kill

Chapter 28 – Join the fun

A total of twelve players emerged from the Western City gate.

Each of their IDs had the prefix "Xiongtu."

This group walked toward Jiang Chen and his companions.

"Are the Xiongtu Club people here to cause trouble?" Jiang Chen wondered.

To his surprise, the group didn't stop but walked past them.

"Be careful, the Heavenly Guild is looking for you," Xiongtu Cold Wind, the leader, whispered as they passed by.

"Hmm?" Jiang Chen paused, puzzled, and looked back. The Xiongtu Club members were already heading out of the city.

"Were they talking to us?" Qing Ying was equally confused.

"It seems like it..." Tao Xiaoyao replied uncertainly.

"The Heavenly Guild is looking for us?" Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow. He could tell that the Xiongtu members had deliberately waited for them at the Western City gate.

This indicated that they had investigated their whereabouts.

Otherwise, it couldn't have been such a coincidence.

"Did they come just to give us this warning? Are they really just concerned players?" Jiang Chen couldn't help but joke.

Regardless of whether the Xiongtu members were genuinely concerned, Jiang Chen didn't care.

He had already anticipated trouble.

He had deliberately waited for the auction of the Blood Tide Greatsword (Gold Level) to conclude before killing the Ancient Mystic Realm BOSS.

He was prepared for someone to be upset.

"So, the Heavenly Guild's leader, Blade-Raising Slayer of Yama, won the Blood Tide Greatsword?" Jiang Chen speculated.

After all, he had no interactions with these major guilds, and they didn't know him. There couldn't be any other conflicts.

The only possible reason was that his first kill of the BOSS had displeased some people.

The most likely to be upset would be the person who won the Blood Tide Greatsword, as they had the best chance of clearing the Ancient Mystic Realm BOSS.

"Let's head to the main city's mansion first."

After roughly piecing together the situation, Jiang Chen went straight to the Teleportation Array at the city gate.

Qing Ying and Tao Xiaoyao followed closely behind.

With a "swish," Jiang Chen was teleported to the main city's Central Plaza.

Right in front of the plaza was the Giant Deer City Mansion.

"Xiaoyao, just trade the equipment you picked up to Qing Ying," Jiang Chen said.

Although he had killed all the monsters in the Demonic Rift, Qing Ying had contributed by pulling aggro.

As long as someone contributed, he wouldn't be stingy.

"Got it," Tao Xiaoyao nodded and immediately started trading with Qing Ying.

"So much equipment? My backpack can't hold all of this," Qing Ying looked at the traded items in a daze, unable to process it all.

Fifty pieces of Bronze Level equipment, and her backpack, filled with potions, couldn't hold that much.

"Xiaoyao, you take a set of Summoner's equipment."

"Huh? No, I didn't do anything..."

"It's fine, don't be polite. With the equipment, you can be more helpful."

...

After some polite back-and-forth, Tao Xiaoyao finally relented and chose a few pieces of Summoner's equipment.

Jiang Chen then headed to the first floor of the mansion, to the shop he had purchased.

As soon as he entered the shop, the system prompted:

[Your leased shop (Giant Deer City 003) is not yet named. Please name it!]

"Treasure Pavilion."

Jiang Chen knew that the simpler the shop's name, the easier it was to spread, and the more famous it could become.

[Treasure Pavilion named successfully!]

A plaque with the words "Treasure Pavilion" appeared above the shop's entrance.

The "Treasure Pavilion" was about twenty square meters, with only a long shelf inside.

The shelf had 500 slots.

Jiang Chen placed over forty pieces of Bronze Level equipment from his backpack onto the shelf.

Each piece was priced at 20 gold!

Cheaper than the Marketplace.

"This armor..." Jiang Chen looked at the Blood Armor (Gold Level) in his backpack. After a brief hesitation, he placed it on the shelf as well.

Although listing it in the Marketplace would make it easier to sell and fetch a higher price, he needed to make the "Treasure Pavilion" famous, and nothing was better than a Gold Level item.

[Item for sale: Blood Armor (Gold Level)]

[Price: Negotiable.]

Jiang Chen then set a message in the "Treasure Pavilion":

[New shop opening, Gold Level equipment on sale!]

This message was displayed on the front wall, visible to everyone passing by.

After setting everything up, Jiang Chen took several screenshots of the "Treasure Pavilion" and the equipment inside.

He was careful not to include himself in the shots.

He then posted the screenshots on the game's official forums.

Title: [Giant Deer City Mansion Shop, Gold Level Equipment for Sale!]

...

Qingfeng City.

In the main city's mansion, a few players walked out.

"Boss, I saw an interesting message," an Assassin player with the ID "Wandering King" said to the leader.

"What message?" The leader turned to look.

He was the guild leader of [Kingdom of Heaven], Domineering Madman.

"The Heavenly Guild's leader took three hundred people to Giant Deer City, supposedly to trouble the team that got the first kill on the Ancient Mystic Realm BOSS," Wandering King said with a playful smile.

"Oh?" Domineering Madman's eyes flashed with surprise. "They're starting trouble so soon?"

After the Blood Tide Greatsword was auctioned off, Domineering Madman had immediately investigated the bidder.

He quickly learned that the bidder was the Heavenly Guild's leader, Blade-Raising Slayer of Yama.

However, since the Ancient Mystic Realm BOSS had already been first killed, Domineering Madman's anger dissipated, replaced by schadenfreude.

The other party had spent so much money, only to lose the first kill.

This made Domineering Madman feel very pleased.

Hearing that Blade-Raising Slayer of Yama was going to trouble the first kill team was within his expectations.

"Boss, should we get involved?" Wandering King asked with a sinister smile.

"One side has the Blood Tide Greatsword, the other has the rewards from the first kill of the Ancient Mystic Realm BOSS. Whoever dies, if they drop something, it's a big prize," Domineering Madman thought briefly before waving his hand. "Take twenty core members and go to Giant Deer City to join the fun."

"Yes, Boss!"

At the same time.

Many major guilds, as competitors, were more or less keeping an eye on each other's actions.

Especially the Heavenly Guild's current move, which was known to more than just the Kingdom of Heaven guild.

Similarly, many saw potential benefits or fame to be gained.

Royal Dynasty, Immortal Legend, Supreme Alliance... these veteran guilds, each with their own agendas, sent members to Giant Deer City.
