Hey, Why Are My Skills so Weird!?

Chapter 136 – First Meeting with Eblors (2)

When we went back to the boutique, we saw Dayana talking to the eblors and showing them the products in the store.

They immediately noticed us. The Awakened escorting the eblors frowned when he saw us, but he said nothing. Dayana and the eblors, on the other hand, only glanced at us before putting their attention back on the clothes.

But strangely, I again felt that two of the eblors stared at us for a bit longer.

It was the same two girls that stared at us before. The two girls with identical looks.

And their gazes were mainly on Sylvia.

‘As expected, they know her, huh.’

It was the same with the celers before, but I got the feeling that they were overly conscious of Sylvia.

‘Could it be that she is the reason they came?’

I could not help but think that.

Neither the celers nor the eblors had ever shown interest in coming to the human territory, so it was quite unusual when both of them insisted on sending people over at the same time.

Moreover, both of them sent students to Sanctuary’s First Awakened College. No matter how I look at it, it smells fishy.

I can’t help but think that they came here for a reason.

‘And if that reason is Sylvia…’

It strangely made sense.

Sylvia was very mysterious and definitely not normal. Perhaps the eblors and celers know about it and that is the reason they sent people to Sanctuary’s First?

I glanced stealthily at Sylvia’s profile before shaking my head inwardly.

Anyway, it’s not my problem.

I should be careful, though; or I could get embroiled in some strange problem.

Sylvia, Ley, and I walked toward the group and stood behind Dayana.

“Oh, you are back?” She smiled softly without questioning why we didn’t leave. “Guests, allow me to introduce them to you. It’s Sylvia, my daughter, and they are Jane and Ley, her friends from college.”

“College? Can I ask what college they go to?” The girl with the ice-cold expression asked.

“Sanctuary’s First,” Dayana replied casually.

“What a coincidence.” The eblor girl put on a surprised expression. “We are also going to Sanctuary’s First.”

Dayana glanced at her and then and the rest of the eblors and her lips curled up in a teasing smile.

“Yes. What a coincidence.”

At that moment, I felt a shiver of terror in my spine.

It disappeared so quickly that I thought it was an illusion. But when I looked at the eblor girl, I realized she had become slightly pale.

So it was not my imagination, huh?

Was it a warning?

However, it seems like nobody else noticed it. No, judging from Sylvia’s smirk, she noticed too.

Just then, the other twin walked toward us enthusiastically.

“So you go to Sanctuary’s First. Can you tell me about it?”

I frowned. I planned to let Sylvia answer, but Sylvia ignored her completely.

Ley, on the other hand, took a step back with a wary expression.

The expression on the eblor girl’s face became awkward.

I could feel the atmosphere becoming tense quickly. The rest of the eblors frowned with cold expressions and the expression of the Awakened escorting them hardened.

It seemed like a fight could start at any moment.

How troublesome.

I sighed and opened my mouth.

“I don’t mind. What do you want to know, miss?”

The girl smiled at me gratefully. “I don’t know much about human schools. Just tell me anything that comes to your mind. By the way, my name is Lily. How about yours?”

“… Jane,” I replied after a bit of hesitation, and I felt the tense atmosphere relaxing.

I could still several gazes on us, though. Both the eblors as the awakened escorting them were looking at us sternly.

I spoke up while doing my best to ignore their gazes.

“What can I tell you? It’s like any other college, only that they teach us combat and how to handle our skills.”

Lily tilted her head.

“Skills? These are the abilities you humans use, right? I heard one of my teachers mention them.”

“Eblors use magic instead, don’t they?”

“Indeed. I have never seen skills before. Can you show me yours? I can show you my magic too if you want.”

“Well... I don’t think this is the right place for that.”

Lily was startled before nodding. “You are right… How about this? If we meet inside Sanctuary’s First, show me your skills. I’ll show you my magic too. Is it a deal?”

“… Okay.” I nodded with a forced smile, trying to ignore the strange gazes from the surroundings.

I could feel the piercing gazes from the eblors and the glare from the awakened escorting them and Ley, plus the amused gaze of Sylvia and Dayana.

All of them seemed surprised by our ‘friendly’ conversation, considering that she was an eblor and I was a human.

Lily did not seem concerned about the gazes though. She continued talking enthusiastically, as though she was happy about making a new friend.

“Hey, hey, tell me more about the academy.”

“Well…”

“Or you could show us through the campus later. You look much better than the guide we have now. He always has a stern face.”

I frowned.

At that moment, the other twin spoke up.

“Sister, stop bothering him. You are making him uncomfortable.”
