HIATUS

As the dead bodies of Kree soldiers lay on the ground, Ava once again scanned her surroundings.

"Okay, I gotta find Ronan", she said while taking a blaster from a dead Kree soldier, "Too bad I don't know the layout of his ship. It might take me a while". She checks if the blaster is still working and said, "Looks like I will have to this the old fashion way. Searching every single damn room".

Ava then proceeded to casually walk and search for Ronan while never caring about the groups of Kree soldiers that were coming her way to kill her. She didn't care for these cannon fodders, nor did she care about the doors blocking her path. With her phasing powers, attacks and obstacles mean nothing to her.

"Hey, do you happen to know where Ronan is hiding?", Ava said to a few Kree soldiers that we're surprised about her phasing through the wall.

"No? Okay then", Ava said as she began using her blaster to kill them all.

"Ava, this is Myrtle. Come in, Ava", Myrtle said through the comms that Ava placed in her ear.

"What is it, Myrtle. I'm kind of busy right now", Ava replied. She saw a Kree soldier running towards her and trying to punch her, the look of confusion on the face of the Kree soldier as his attack phase through her is priceless. She then pointed her blaster at the Kree and said, "You were fun. You can die now".

"BANG!"

"The Nova Prime had ordered all her pilots to interlock with each other and to form a blockade. Ronan is now having even more trouble landing on Xandar", Myrtle stated.

"That's good, order the hunters to support the blockade. Ronan wi----"

"BANG!"

Ava was interrupted from properly replying to Myrtle when she heard an explosion not far from where she is standing. She believes that it was an explosion that occurred inside of Ronan's ship itself.

"Catch you later, Myrtle", she then ended the call with Myrtle and ran towards the locations where the explosion happened. And lucky for her, it was the right course of action. In just a few moments, with the use of her incredible speed and her phasing abilities, she finally found Ronan. The Kree Accuser was holding someone by his neck and lifting him off the ground with ease.

"AH!"

"I was mistaken, I do remember your family. Their screams were pitiful and just like them, I will make you scream. And it will be music to my ears", Ronan stated in anger.

"AH!", the Kylosian shouted in pain as Ronan tightens his hold on his neck.

"I AM GROOT!", a walking tree creature shouted as its arms began to rapidly extend. The creature wraps its wooden arm in Ronan's neck and to free his ally, he smashes Ronan to the wall nearest to him.

The Kylosian fell on the floor and he struggles to catch his breath. While the tree creature proceeded to continuously slam Ronan to the wall in hopes of defeating the Kree Accuser.

"YOU VILE CREATURE!", Ronan shouted in anger as his eyes began to glow purple. He channels the power of the power stone and used it to free himself from the tree creatures hold.

"AH!", the creature shouted in pain as a purple form of energy began to crawl in its arm and travel towards him.

"Groot!", a male man shouted in fear and worry for the safety of his friend.

A woman, that Ava recognized as one of the daughters of the mad titan acted quickly. She took out her sword and cut the tree creature's arm before the energy of the power stone could continue traveling in his limbs and killing him in the process.

"That's right scream! You will die here today for delaying my plans in killing all Xandarians", Ronan said. He then pointed his hammer in their direction and a powerful force of energy propelled Ronan's attackers to the wall behind them.

"AH!"

"AH!"

"AH!"

"AH!"

"I will finish you off and after that, I will destroy these Nova Pilots blocking my path", Ronan said as he increased the intensity of the force he applied in the bodies of the people who wanted to kill. All of them could feel the pain of their bodies slowly embedding the wall.

"Seriously Ronan, with the power stone in your grasp, and you only used it to deal with weaklings", Ava said as she showed himself to the Kree Accuser. Ava walks towards Ronan and with every step she took, she flared her chakra. With each foot moving forward, her calm chakra began to transform in a raging fury of energy.

Ronan was surprised that another intruder was inside of his ship. He stops attacking the first group of people who attacked him and said, "And who might you be?". Ronan carefully watches the woman nearing him and he could feel the unique energy coming from her.

Ronan is a skilled fighter and he immediately felt a sense of power coming from the woman that appeared. He had been through many battles and he personally stood against powerful individuals in the past. He remembers the time he had escaped certain death when a powerful glowing woman came and attack his ship.  This occurred when the Kree Government and the Nova Empire were still at each other's throats.

That was the moment he knew that beings stronger than him existed. The thought of that glowing woman and Thanos being more powerful than him made him angry.

He subconsciously tightens his hold in his hammer and allowed a small fraction of the power of the infinity stone to travel in his body. He bathes himself in its energy and he became proud that he could exceed the power of those beings he once feared. Thanos and the glowing woman will no longer mean anything to him. He is Ronan the Accuser and he will make his name synonymous with power itself.

"It's the first time that we actually met. I am Ava, leader of the mercenary group named, Shadow. I have been helping the Nova Empire for a while now. Freeing some of the kidnapped individuals that you took is actually my work", Ava said as her chakra became visible for everyone in the room to see.

"I see. I have gotten those reports. So, you were the reason why I lost some of my pilots in the last few years", Ronan said with venom in his voice.

"Yes, I did that. It was because of you that I got a good ship, so you have my thanks. But I can't let you have an infinity stone. A person like you who wants nothing more than to kill people in his spare time is not someone who should wield one of the most powerful artifacts in the universe", Ava said as she clenches her fist.

"I would like to see you take it from me", Ronan said with a smug look on his face.
